Progress Report #10

Only one more week left for the semester. After a good talk with my professor, I have decided to make another version of my film, this time without the dialogue. It will be a silent film where you watch my characters actions and you get to figure out the story. I finished the other version of my film with the dialogue and creating the silent version will be an added challenge to this semester with only a week left. But I know that I can do it and everyone else who is wrapping up their projects can do it as well. WE GOT THIS!

Where Am I Now: I am very close to the finish line here. For the past 20 days I have been non stop putting everything together on Adobe Premiere Pro, Sound effects, clips, pictures etc. And I have officially put my film together. All that's left now is the polishing phase of my Film which is about 15 minutes long, I was aiming for a minimum of 10, Maximum of 15 So I am very happy with the timeframe of my film.

Where Am I Headed: We are at the final stretch of this semester, just one more week and We have to turn in everything. I am scared but also so excited to get this finally done ever since I worked on this project all the way in June. This entire week I will be polishing my film, make sure the audio is perfect for viewers to listen to, make sure my transitions are smooth, and to make sure and upload all of my behind the scenes and documents and to make a 30 second trailer. All this in just one more week, WE ALL GOT THIS. See you at the finish line.

Where am I now: I am currently working on putting all of my sources on premiere pro, all of my photos, audio and live action scenes. It feels very slow at first but by the end of the week I should have all of the pieces i made together.

Where am I headed: I'm honestly very nervous this month, its our final month of the semester before we have to complete our deliverable, I know we're all anxious but we'll get it done. Once I put everything I have together it'll provide me an opportunity to do more with my editing and put my skills to the test, I plan on adding sound effects, distorted audio, black and white effects and so much more. Where am I now?

And thats a wrap. I have officially completed filming for my senior captstone, thank you so much to everyone who was involved with the process of my production (filming, voice acting, organizing, etc) you were all a big help this past month and i cant believe i have made it this far.

Where am I headed?

I am going to be taking a break this week. I currently am going under midterms and i have also been very excited to play Spider-Man 2 PS5 and I personally feel like i made it far enough to where i can take a breather and get into my post production for my project NEXT WEEK.

Where am I now? Me and my partners are OFFICIALLY DONE with voice recordings on the campus editing bay, it feels absolutely fantastic to make this much progress in about a month and I feel so proud of me and my partners for getting it done this soon. Now it gave me more of an opportunity to focus more on the film itself and finish up my final acts.

Where am I headed? This week I am planning on finishing the production portion of my film, with the voice acting complete I can shift to complete focus on the live action portion and the stop motion portion of my film and I intend on finishing production THIS WEEK, its been a long ride during production and I'm so close to the finish line.

Where am I now? After completing my first act for filming I took a break and then began the 2nd act, I would say that the second act felt easier to do because I felt a lot more experienced then I was when I did the first act for my film. Aside from filming me and my partners have been hard at work in the editing bay on campus with their fantastic voice acting performances and I'm really proud of both of them for taking the time to help me with this, thank you guys :)

Where am I headed? This week I am now at the starting point of act 3 and I hope I'll be able to finish it this week and me and my partners will be in the editing bay again for one final time to get all the lines from my script together. I feel like I have made amazing progress this past few weeks and I'm going to keep going, no stops till filming is done.

Where am I now? For the past couple of days Ive been hard at work in my room taking multiple pictures of my figures and after just 3 days I finished filming and animating my first act. But I noticed in post that I made a couple of mistakes like my hand or face is seen in the picture when they shouldn't so I will have to either reshoot or edit those mistakes out in post.

Where am I headed? This week I will begin act 2 of my film with a lot more knowledge on what I should do and better equipment that I just recently bought. Along with filming I will also make another plan with my voice actors for the next acts of my film.

Progress report 3

Where am I now? I just did a recording session for both my main actors today at the ACM building in the edit bay and we got through all of act 1 together and it went well aside from a few setback (I accidentally deleted the act 2 recording but I can recover it)

Where am I headed? I will officially begin filming tomorrow for my senior project, Im very nervous but I'm extremely tempted to get this project done to the best of my ability, my figures are ready to go and so is my camera. wish me luck :D

Progress Report #2

Where am I now? Throughout summer of 2023 I've been busy trying to figure out what the story of my film should be. It needs to be as creative as humanly possible but doesn't deviate from my research of influential film genres. By the start of the semester I was able to complete the synopsis of my film and complete the script for it as well. The next challenge was to get voice actors and I was already pretty nervous to ask around until I got asked by so many other students in my Capstone class if they could join. I felt incredibly relieved that I got one big obstacle out of the way, but now the biggest challenge will start soon. 

Where am I headed? I will soon have to begin filming but before I can do that I need my voice actors to voice their characters so I know their tone before I animate so that way I can match my figures body language with their respective voices. That will be a big step to take so I must plan accordingly with my new partners without getting in the way of their projects.

Hello Everybody. Welcome to my Senior project capstone where I will be showcasing a stop motion film mixed with live action along with the charm of the silent cinema, this project is based on my research essay last semester on "How film has evolved overtime" where my research consisted of the origins of film and how it has consistently evolved from the silent era to the introduction of cgi/special effects and how streaming impacted the film industry. This a project I am extremely passionate about and have worked on since the start of the summer so wish me luck on this project along with everyone else who is working on theirs!!!!
