There's literally no reason to revise the word suntherian. It also has nothing to do with the sun. It's not even pronounced the same way that sun is. The word & definition are fine as they are and you have no right to change ANYTHING. - someone who has been around WAY LONGER than you.

all the comments were attempting to defend therians by saying things like, “i'm a therian and all of us know we're humans,” “only insane people truly believe they're animals,” and, “the only therians i've seen are teens and kids!” ...

hi! i'm an adult therian who fully believes that it's a canine. i'm not a human in any way. vague and blanket statements such as those shown above are extremely harmful to the community.

physical therians are valid. “insane” and “delusional” therians are valid. adult therians are valid.

the original definition is stated as: "A SUNTHERIAN is a therian whose therioside (primary or sole therioside) is integrated into his baseline personality. HOWEVER, that integration does not prevent him/her from having minor fluctuations of mood that feel slightly more animal, or slightly less animal. He/she can feel them both at the same time, human and animal. Hey man, just because someone has a paraphillia doesn’t mean they *want* to act on it or even want to have said paraphilia.

in my post; i am referring to those who have accepted the paraphilia and identified themself as a zoophile. NOT someone who has intrusive thoughts and is seeking help or other means to stop it. last time ill be saying this!! i am NOT ableist, i UNDERSTAND you can't control intrusive thoughts, I LITERALLY HAVE SOME MYSELF😭. i am AGAINST those who accepted themself as a zoophile, and validated their own gross feelings. zoophilia is defined as "experiences a sexual fixation". a fixation is "an obsessive interest in or feeling about someone or something."

this means that if someone identifies as a zoophile, they are not just experiencing an unwanted thought- they are actively embracing and validating their attraction. that is a huge difference. intrusive thoughts are unwanted and distressing, while a fixation is something a person latches onto and accepts.

at the end of the day, animals cannot consent, and normalizing or excusing zoophilia is harmful. if someone struggles with intrusive thoughts (unwanted), they would not label themselves as a zoophile and try to justify it.

xe/xem "zee - zehm" thxy/thxm & hx/hxm are purely text based, so pronounced just like they/them & he/him; however; if you do want to attempt to pronounce them (as i do myself irl), id say like this: thxy/thxm "thzay - thzem" hx/hxm "hze - hzm" aswell as vi/vim "vee - vihm" i hope this helps! excited to get to know you !!!
