“Oh, yeah,” Sage responded with a laugh. “When it comes to combat magic, it takes a lot out of you. When it comes to exorcism, the bigger the target, the more energy. I’m surprised I wasn’t out for the whole day when it came to that big lug we fought.”

As the glow faded, Atelier yipped, tail swishing from side to side. The noise rang in Sage’s ears, and he smiled fondly. “I remember Mismagius’ lullabies. When I was training with our family Maggie, she’d sing me to sleep. It’s silly, but it’s a nice memory. Where I met this guy right here.”

And he ran a hand through the soft fur of the Absol next to him, causing the creature to release a noise of content and close its eyes lazily.

"It's a Misdreavus," Jess chuckled. "It's bound to at least try causing trouble! But they can be taught boundaries and obedience like any other 'mon. Anyways, you're welcome, Sage. It's my pleasure!" And then, eyes softening, xe directed a gentle wish to the egg. "Be well on your way, little one."

"Mis?"

The Mismagius only muttered one quick note, but Jess looked to her, she lifted her head with a smile, Jess's eyes lit up, and xe turned back to Sage.

"Oh, of course! I almost forgot. Mistress has a bit of a tradition here. She'd like to chant a little something over the baby, if that's alright? Just a quick spell for good fortune. She doesn't have to attach it to you if your magic won't play well with hers, but that's an option too if you'd like."

While the world is busy enjoying summer vacations and the freedom and safety that come with it, the people of Gaza, especially in the northern region, are living a daily nightmare. Continuous bombings have brought devastation to their homes, forcing them to live among the rubble. Water and food have become scarce, and standing in long lines for the basics of life has become a part of their daily routine.

With each new sunrise, their suffering increases, but so does their hope for a better tomorrow. They face unimaginable hardships with courage, but they need our support. This is why I have created a donation link to help my family escape this hell.
