I want to share my experience with everyone for a moment.
I have the Samsung Active 2 watch. Owned it less than a year. I've babied this watch because I'm always afraid of damaging it. Recently it started shutting down and I would have to reboot it. Samsung assured me that it was under warranty and the repairs were free. I get an email today saying it is no longer under warranty and it will cost over $200 for repairs. I call to find out the issue and am told there is water damage to the device. Now this watch is advertised as a companion for swimmers to track your laps. Which means water should not be able to get into it without some sort of damage. There is no physical damage to my watch. I'm told that humidity can cause condensation to build up inside the phone and cause damage. So should I not be allowed to wear my watch in Florida? Surprise! We have lots of humidity! They're selling brand new Active 2 watches starting at $49. No, I'm not spending that kind of money when it is clearly apparent that this is a manufacturer's defect. Shame on you, Samsung! To think I left Apple for this.
