He's supposed to be invincible - DC X DP

Just something random that came to my mind.

So, Danny ends up being adopted/fostered by Bruce just months before Damian arrives at the manor, the how and why is your choice, but the GIW is still a threat. 

Now, Danny catches Damian attacking Tim the first time and instead of telling the rest of the family or scolding Damian, he went lik:

“You haven't even defeated me, and you think you have a right to attack Tim? Get in line, kid.”

And so Damian understands that to get the right to fight against Tim, he needs to get rid of Danny first. Climb the power pyramid, if you will. And so, Damian starts his assassination attempts against Danny. 

But here's the thing: Danny is making absolutely no effort to stop him, he just takes the attempts. The first time, Damian successfully stabs Danny, and goes to announce his victory over Danny to his father. Bruce rushes to Danny, worried for his safety, and finds him just chilling there, not a single drop of blood or injury. Damian is gapping.

“Oh yeah, the kid beat me in a round of hide and seek. He’s pretty good.”

Bruce is relieved and pats Damian’s head, not noticing his utter confusion. And so a cartoon-like montage starts: Damian attacks Danny and claims victory, but Danny is completely fine, and says Damian won at some random game. Everyone thinks the two are super close, and that Damian’s excitement about winning is super cute. 

Eventually, positive enforcement wears Damian down, because everyone congratulates him and gives him affection for winning the “stupid things” Danny comes up with. He gradually calms down and integrates pretty well. Danny does end up being his closest sibling because he’s the only one that actually knows all of Damian. The only one Damian could attack with zero restraint and still be treated the same. 

But the important thing here is: Danny becomes an invincible figure in Damians mind. He could be stabbed, decapitated, poisoned, and still come back like nothing happened.

So surely, when Phantom is shot out of the sky by a Blood Blossom, surely he’ll just stand back up in a minute like always. Surely, he’s just waiting to get back to the cave to pretend like he always did for Damian. Surely, he’s just putting on a show on the medbay. 

But hours go by, and he’s still pretending. Still looking pale. Still keeping his eyes closed.

Damian doesn’t understand why he hasn’t bounced back yet. He should be okay by now. Alfred is moving around, changing the IV,dabbing Danny’s head with a damp cloth. There’s commotion outside as everyone is trying to get an antidote.

But this shouldn’t be happening. 

Danny is invincible.

Danny should be back to normal already.

So Damian starts shaking Danny. Screaming to stop pretending and tell them he was beaten in some stupid game again. To open his eyes already. 

Father is pulling him away, trying to calm him down, but he keeps struggling in his arms, because he’s getting Danny to wake up. 

And he doesn’t notice the tears falling down his face until he runs out of energy, and all that’s left is hiccuping in his father’s arms.

...

So… yeah, that’s what my mind supplied today while on the bus :)

Maybe one day I'll write it, but I don't have time, so I would love to see someone else's take on it.

What if, Danny considers all the storyline as part of the service.

Sam, Danny, Jazz, Tucker and Dan create the characters with so much love. This are they're OC'S y'all.

The characters have backgrounds, but more importantly their current situations. Why are they working here?

Anna is struggling financially and her parents are threatening to throw her out, so she's desperately trying to get money before that happens.

Joseph is saving to finally get formal education and finish highschool. He wants to be a good example for his future kids and be able to afford they're education.

Angeline is so happy to be a head chef. As a women, it's been hard getting this position, despite all her years of experience in the kitchen. She's still working on balancing being too soft with the people under her, and being too strict. But she loves this job so much.

Things like that. And their wardrobe and character design! They all spend hours around Danny asking him to change and adjust like one of those girl games where you created your own doll. But you have infinite options and complete freedom.

“Could you make the hair a tan bit lighter? No, no, that's too light.”

“Sam, it's almost the same color!”

“No they're not, and I need something in between!”

"I think the nose should be bigger? Yeah yeah like that. And let's put a mole here!"

"Ellie, there's already a mole there."

"Well, then make it darker, because I can't see it!"

Danny got a phone just for this, where he keeps the characters notes. The phone Gallery is full of photos of him in character wearing all the possible wardrobe the character would wear.

At some point Paulina and Star are pulled in to create some outfits. Maybe they know about Danny, maybe they don't and they simply say that some co-workers need help with their fashion.

Sam, Danny, Jazz, Danny and Dan reunite every now and then to put together storylines. It's open improv so they're not writing scripts but more like events that need to be reached. (Choose whoever you think is speaking)

“How ready are you for kid characters?”

“Uh… haven't tried yet?”

“Because I've been thinking that Alice could be a teen mom!”

"She's like 23, a bit old for teen mom, you know?"

"Was a teen mom 🙄. The kids is like 8."

“Wait, isn't Alice going out with Mark? The Mark that has explicitly said that he absolutely never likes kids? The one that was thinking about proposing?”

“Yes, so picture this. Alice comes to the restaurant for whatever reason and it is revealed that Alice has kids, and never told Mark!”

“Mark has a temper, it would be a whole screaming match! The drama! Will he reveal he was planning to propose?”

“Okay, okay, but we need some ground work, we can't just get that out without any hints.”

“Well, it'll take me a while to get a kid right.” Danny says while making a clone half his height but with all the proportions wrong. “So we have time for that…”

They're all aware that the clients go to the restaurant more for the absolute soap opera that the workers have for lives, than for the food. Sure, the food is good, but the drama? The friends to lovers, the love triangle, the break ups, the return character for last season.

It works because no one knows these people outside of the restaurant so it feels like pure gossip that doesn't actually affect their community, but also they can interact and affect the story!!! And the community is closer than ever because it's impossible to be there for every scene, so they rely on each other to be up to date.

The whole bats being suspicious still work, since they all may have forgotten the characters should have some life out of the restaurant, that is seen instead of just told. Characters are only seen within the neighborhood for special scenes in the neighborhood bakery, and whatnot, but they'll always be back at the restaurant or disappear before they can follow them anywhere else.

There's no way all these people live there, and it doesn't match with how they act in the restaurant at all. What's going on!?

Danny's becoming the best actor in history. In the end, all the duplicates are still him. He just wished to know how Vlad did to reintegrate the memories of so many duplicates without getting a headache.

Danny didn’t mean to be so shady.

He had been working hard on his duplicates and had recently gained the ability to morph his appearance.

So he decided to challenge himself to see how long he could run a small business only using him and his clones.

The plan was to, at most, seem to have a group of quirky employees.

Unfortunately, it seems he has accidentally left more of an impression of being a shell company for less than legal reasons.

Good news is that he had did all the legal legwork properly and was not breaking the law.

Bad news was that the bats were getting suspicious and were trying to catch him in some sort of act.

Oh well, this just means that the difficulty has ramped up!

"Wait! Waaaait!!!! We can talk this out! I'm sure we can talk this out? Please, please, let's not kill anyone today?"

Danny was both talking to Mr. Kent that apparently was a meta with super strength and to the Dan still invisible behind him, who was still working on his anger management and tended to go full kill mode when anyone in his inner circle was injured.

He was glad they had been hearing into this interview. He was expecting some blackmail material, but it's good he's here in time to defuse the situation too. At least he hopes he can defuse it, he really doesn't want to deal with this becoming any bigger than it already is.

Clark had to take a deep breath when a kid came out of nowhere and stranded in front of him. If he remember correctly, this kid was Masters godson? Wait... He just threw Masters through 5 walls. He had his suspicious about the man being a meta, but that doesn't mean the man has durability! When did he become so careless with his strength?

"Please, I'm sure it's all a misunderstanding..."

The kid in front of him is scrawny and scared, and how will he not be, Clark just threw his godfather through 5 walls! Did he kill Masters in front of his godson!? No, no, he still can hear Masters heartbeat. He should go and check that the man-

Masters was floating back through the whole in the walls. When the man got to be at the kids side, another kid appear out of nowhere, quite literally out of thin air, and began checking the man out. Masters just sighted.

"This is unnecessary Dan, it was nothing but a scratch."

The kid, Dan, just grunted in response but continue checking the man up and down.

"I don't know Vlad. You went through 5 walls in..." the first kid that was still holding his hands in a calming gesture towards Clark glance at him," Um, like that." Then he lean slightly to Masters. "Now could you apologize to the reporter for whatever you said before this becomes an actual battle?"

Masters gasp dramatically. "Now little badger, what makes you believe anything in this situation was my fault!? I was the one that was sent flying."

"I mean. You do have a tendency to put your feet in your mouth old man." A little girl said between her lollipop.

Where were all this kid coming from? Clark swears he hadn't even heard their hearth beats before they appear.

"Yo, Mr. Reporter? What did Vlad do wrong?" The little girl asked.

Clark frowned. He wasn't sure how to advance here. Masters wasn't in anyway trying to attack back, the kids were clearly metas too, and the only person tense in the room seems to be Clark himself. He sights, okay, he was always up to resolving things through dialogue, so if they can talk through this first...

"He threaten my brother."

The first kid finally lower his hands, seemingly deciding Clark wasn't going to attack again. Clark feels a bit ashamed to have placed a kid on that position. Then the kid frowned at Vlad in unison with the little girl, Dan just huffed crossing his arms.

"Why would you threaten his brother?" The little girl asked

"I didn't" Masters said slightly raising his hands. "I have no idea what he's talking about."

Do the kids not know about the man cloning? Wait... Now that he actually looks at them, their all extremely similar. There's still small differences but...

"You're all clones?" The question slipped past his lips before he could stop it.

The kids all stared at him for a moment before Dan growled defensively.

"What, have a problem with that?"

"No, no, I don't have any problem-"

"Can we just get to why you threw Vlad through the walls without getting into another fight please?" First kid says, massaging his temples.

"You'll have to ask Mr. Kent about it. All I was doing was offering help stabilizing his son, and maybe trying to get some money out of it-"

"You asked for money!?"

"The other parent is Bruce Wayne! He has money!"

Clark hadn't finished processing all that when the little girl ran just in front of him and asked:

"Your son's a clone!? Can I meet him? Please, please, pretty please with a cherry on top." While she made small jumps on her feet's.

"I- no, um my son isn't a clone..." The girl deflated immediately.

"What!? Then what was all the cloning questions about!?" Masters exclaimed. "Um, my brother is."

And Clark wasn't sure he should have said that, but the girl seemed completely devastated about there not being another clone, and the new happy jumps almost made it worth it. The girl was asking once more, when Dan put them back on track.

"That still doesn't explain why you attack the old man."

"I already said, he threaten my brother."

The little girl gasp dramatically. "You threatened a fellow clone!?"

"I did not such thing!"

"Yes you did! You offered to create a replacement in case he needed to take him down!" And maybe Clark was raising his voice a little.

"I would have never suggested such thing!" Well, Masters was meeting him in volume level, so Clark didn't feel particularly bad about it.

There was a loud suffering sight from the first kid. "Look man, this fruitloop says things in the worst ways, but I promise you he wasn't threatening you're brother. He was offering clone medical help."

"What?"

"Yeah, the old man figured how to stabilized clones so that me and Dan didn't melt every opportunity we had."

"See, just a misunderstanding."

The next 20 minutes was Clark apologizing for attacking Vlad when he was just offering help, the rest of the misunderstandings being solved and Clark accidentally revealing he was Superman either way because he thought they knew already.

Reporter Clark Kent is interviewing Vlad Masters, and Vlad is thriving in the attention.

Vlad also has a slight misunderstanding.

Because, well, Mr. Kent is asking some oddly specific questions concerning cloning.

Vlad is...well aware that the circumstances surrounding Mr. Kent's own son, Jon, is a little odd. He'd investigated the man prior to allowing the interview, after all.

Vlad is forced to conclude that Jon is a clone himself, and Mr. Kent is having issues stabilizing the boy.

Issues that he himself has long resolved, after pressure from Dan and Danielle.

Feeling like he should do his good deed for the week, Vlad leans forward, hands clasped.

"Mr. Kent, lets not do this work around," he says, voice low as he sends a spark of power towards the recording equipment, effectively killing it in a second. "It's clear that you are someone a bit more...important than a mere reporter. I think we both know who, or what, you really are."

Because Mr. Kent, who had a few suspicious run ins with Mr. Wayne, was clearly Mr. Waynes sugar baby. That made Jon their clone/test tube baby.

That meant that this was about money, and if Vlad played his cards right, he could not only save a child, but make a profit.

"If you need to use my cloning facility to resolve an...existing issue, or to create backups, you need only ask. I don't use it anymore."

"...Backups?"

"Just in case the current one fails; backups for extra parts, as it were." After all, the cloning equipment could be used for more than growing whole people; it was revolutionary in growing organs as well. In fact, Vlad was working with his company to start distributing them for sale to hospitals.

"What did you mean by an 'existing issue'?"

Vlad blinked.

"Oh, well only that if the current clone still isn't stabilized, I've...dealt with that before."

He really isn't sure how he ends up being thrown through five walls.

TLDR: Vlad thinks that Jon is the love child of Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne, and that he was created via cloning equipment, and is destabilizing. He offers his help, but words everything badly. Kal thinks that Vlad Masters knows he's Superman, and that he's making threats towards Kon, and offering to create replacement Kons in case this Kon, his Kon, needs to be taken down. Kon may be a clone, and Kal cannot see him as his son, but Kon will always be family. Kal doesn't let people get away with threatening his family. Kal does not take that threat well.

Phantom massaging his temple: No, they're not. They're in the infinite realms. Look, let's do this. You let me take the Lazarus pits and I let you see your fishes.

Robin squinting.

Nightwing: Robin maybe you shouldn't-

Robin: I accept only, if I get to see them first... and I want week visitations.

Phantom still unsure why he's even bothering and knowing this will be a hassle: Yeah. Sure. Whatever. *Takes Robin through a portal.*

Nightwing: Robin! Guys, the god that wanted the Lazarus pit just kidnapped Robin!

"Look kid— i need to close the lazarus pit, if it stays open, your grandfather will rot away far more than he already has." Danny, tired of this situation, explained somehwat calmly to the smallest bird of the bats.

"What! No! You can't. Who cares about my grandfather, the lazarus pit has my fishes inside!"

What.

Vaguely concerned, Nightwing crouches down to the kid. "Robin, what do you mean?"

"That's what I said. Whenever one of my fish died, back then, I'd put them into the pit. They live in there now, immortal."

Danny remains speechless for a moment.

"Wait- what the fuck? The ghost fish are YOURS?"

Some random psychopomps: How the fuck do you have so many corpses! You work on a residencial area!

Amity's psychopomps bringing the 50th corpse this week: *Shrugs* Now, if you excuse me, I have to go ask for a new lair for... *Squints eye at note* Danny. Wow, that's a really popular name around there.

Uhhh first post let's go? I've had Danny Phantom x DC crossover brainrot in my head for the past three months :P Never touched either fandom before now though so that's cool

Every time Danny goes ghost, he's kinda technically dying on command. And when someone dies, they get their own lair as an afterlife. So what if every time he "dies" he just get another lair? Like in the Ghost Zone there's just a bunch of space themed doors sorta close together but not really next to each other? So there's like hundreds of not thousands of doors from the amount of times Danny transforms. And he kinda doesn't know about it? He's still techincally sorta alive so the thought that he has a lair just doesn't come up in his mind.

The day when he defeats Pariah Dark and becomes the Ghost King of the Infinite Realms by Right of Combat, his core becomes attuned to the Infinite Realms that's also sorta sentient. So the Realms are just like "hey there's a bunch of lairs in my Chosen Ones name so I'm gonna give him a welcome present by merging them all together :)"

And then the result is a huge implosion of mass from the tens of thousands of doors and energy from the surrounding ectoplasm. Like a reverse Big Bang. Which absolutely fits with one of Danny's two obsessions: Space. And EVERYONE can feel the aftershocks. Or a certain Death magic feeling. Like a man named John Constantine.

So naturally everyone is just like "wtf!?" Like John calling an emergency JLD meeting even though he barely ever does, and the Ancients are just absolutely flabbergasted that this infant of a new Ancient suddenly has a whole ass haunt in the Infinite Realms that's as big or even bigger than theirs.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, idek what his haunt in the Infinite Realms would manifest as.

Danny hears them talk about tearing him apart molecule by molecule so many times. Heard then talking about ghosts like they were just things to be studied and exterminated. There's no way the 180° change they do will feel real. Which is sort of the reason why the bad parents AU's are so popular.

I love the idea of exploring Danny's constant anxiety even in a good parents AU.

Even if Danny's parents were nothing but loving and supportive after finding out he's Phantom, I feel like he'd still have some trust issues there.

Danny casually screaming a question mid game:

"Does anyone know what a prepositional phrase is?"

Everyone staring at Danny, and Jason answering the question kinda impress (and a bit worried) by the kids ability to just bypass the whole chaos around him. Danny mumbles a thanks as he writes the answer down.

"Let's play a game of 'How well do you know your kids?'" The being shouted, eyebrow still twitching from Robins latest remark.

"I know all my children perfectly." Batman growled at the entity. He held his ground as the spirits (demons?) smile sharpened, "Than you won't mind!"

A puff of purple glowy smoke engulfs then entire area and the next thing anyone knows is that all of Bruces children, even the ones who weren't with them previously, are locked inside magical cages while Batman is trapped in a invisible mime box with a podium and a microphone in what is quite possibly the most garish game show set up ever.

Why was everything neon green and purple? Why was the guy neon green and purple? Who were these other kids-gdi Bruce! You have more kids?

Danny could just transform and beat up the ghost. Its a pretty weak one after all. But this one doesn't seem to recognize him as a halfa and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to do his homework without being attacked.

Jason stared at the kid next to him. What kinda life did this kid have to calmly get out his math homework and start solving problems while being held hostage by an unknown entity?! And with the bats no less?!

All the while Batman is getting peppered with questions about his kids and is realizing he doesn't recognize a few of the names.

So, you know there was a time were the summoning sacrifice to lovers was quite popular? I'm sort of craving a story where Damian is the bride sacrifice to ghost king Danny. Anyone knows of one?

Okay, this is phantastic! All the justice league like: Why does he sound like Batman? Batman, is there a bat we haven't been told about yet?

Batman realizing his kid: 1. Somehow had powers and a whole different look. 2. Somehow still ended in the vigilante life despite being in a supposedly safe town like Amity. 3. Contingency plans are apparently genetic.

All the batkids raising an eyebrow at Bruce: Did you know about this? You knew about him!

Bruce has a lot of secrets. His biggest one, perhaps, is that Damian is not his firstborn.

Bruce had a bit of a fling with a married couple at a science convention, fifteen or so years ago when he'd been the young, young age of thirty. Naturally, upon realizing that the condom had broken, he immediately started keeping tabs.

Maddie was revealed to be pregnant only eight weeks later.

He kept his tabs, worked his cases, and monitored her progress. Even if the child was her husband, Jack's, he wanted to make sure she was having a safe pregnancy; she'd told him at the convention that carrying Jazz had damn near killed her.

Once Daniel Fenton was born, he'd discreetly gone to the hospital, in disguise, and drawn some blood.

It was confirmed; he was Daniel Fenton's biological father.

But Daniel was safe, with loving parents who weren't involved in being a vigilante and all the absurdity that entailed.

Bruce went out of his way to erase any evidence that he'd ever done the DNA test, or that he'd been at the convention, or that he knew Jack or Maddie. His only allowance is weekly check ins, to make sure none of his enemies have found out about Daniel.

Now, though, Bruce has a problem.

Because Amity Park, the city his actual firstborn lives in, has disappeared off the face of the map. When he returned from the time stream, after things had gotten back under control, he could not find Amity anymore when he tried to do his usual check in.

All records of it were erased.

Dannymay Day 29: Ghost Biology

Do you know Physarum polycephalum ( or "blob")? It's a slime mold that consists of only a singular cell which can be chopped up an fuse together again, makes intelligent choices without nervous system and is neither a fungus nor a plant nor an animal. One of the most alien things we have on the planet.

Maybe ghost behave also like that, that would explain why they can do something like this:

, and fuse together again like nothing happens.

If we stick with Danny being half-ghost and have them discover the mermaid thing pretty early on in the show, we can say they choose to keep it a secret because of the town’s reaction to ghosts.

Amity is a pretty isolated place, far from other towns and cities. The only point of reference these kids have for how people might react to anything strange is how the town treats ghosts, and, yeah, that’s enough to make them want to keep things quiet.

As for Danny, he’s already had enough of his half-life throwing weirdness at him. Hiding his ghost side is hard enough. At least the mermaid thing didn’t come with a whole new set of mer-rogues, and at least he gets to learn about his latest change in biology with his besties.

Danny puts up with a lot of stress, okay. His coping mechanism is....okay, it's a little weird, he's not gonna lie.

It is widely known that he has a human form and a ghost form; it is not widely known that his ghost form can do pretty much whatever he wants it to.

This includes making it smaller. Changing the ghost tail to a fish one. Making the suit be scales instead of a suit.

He does it so many times he now officially has three forms, and one of them is purely for himself and no one else.

His stress relief is to go to the aquarium, switch to the tiny merman form, and hide in the rocks of his favorite exhibit; the shark exhibit.

He stays in the back, away from the people visiting it's sight, and just vibes. He's even made a small cave the sharks can't fit into a tiny little nest.

No one would expect him there. No one would be looking for him there. He was free to just...take a moment.

Well, so he thought.

Because the humans visiting did see him. Multiple times.

They took pictures.

Now the Amity Park Aquarium is in some deep shit with Atlantis, because there's documented proof that they're keeping a literal baby mer in there as a spectacle.

So, what if we make Batman an actual denizen? Doesn't have to be a ghost, but I've seen the trope with almost all the other bats, I don't think I've seen it with Bruce yet.

He has died quite a few times. What if he died pretty early on in his vigilante career and came back through DC's inability to let the death rest, but death just Stuck?

What if Bruce used to be less ghostly. He was always reserved and short of words, but he wasn't quite as obsessive and possessive before his first death. And the way he changed went sort of unnoticed by Alfred because, yeah, the young man is going out and seeing the dark side of Gotham every night. That would change anyone. Also, Bruce had been travelling for a long time, Alfred isn't surprised he picked some weird habits during his time away. It's still Bruce anyway.

Danny just naturally treats Batman as a ghost because he sort of acts like one, and feels like one. But he surely can't be one right? Que Danny doing some errands where he has to check on some denizens that never presented themselves for citizenship, and guess who's on top of the list?

Bruce Wayne.

Phantom speaks Bat

So the JL have accepted that they r never gonna understand Batman. Wonder Woman and Superman r the closest to understanding him but even for them it’s not 100%

Sometimes bats just does things they don’t understand. He has rules and morals he won’t cross no matter what and just overall has a way of thinking that no one can follow along.

At least that’s what they thought until phantom joined.

From day one he just, got Batman. Something that most of the JL was convinced was impossible and Phantom had somehow managed to wrap his head around how bats thinks in like a day.

The league wonder just how he does it for ages before caving and deciding to ask him.

“Oh, that’s because he thinks like a ghost.”

… that wasn’t a very helpful answer but did somehow explain it

I see a lot of replies with Danny being completely fine with the killing and the crime, but... What if he wasn't?

Imagine a Danny that has formed a completely White or Black moral compás for himself, because he's: can't even cheat on a test without become an evil maniac that destroys the world Danny.

How would this Danny react to his template not only commiting crimes on the regular but also having dozens of life's in his hands?

How would Jason react to his clone being so against everything he does?

Make it more complicated when Danny still wants to have a relationship with Jason and get to know him, but can't easily see past everything he's doing.

Danny thinking Jason is one of the reasons he so easily became Dan.

Danny being scared Jason will be this worlds Dan.

Danny still wanting to spend time with Jason and seeing the good he does but not knowing how to align it with his view of the world. Specially since we're making him younger.

Jason dealing with his little clone having multiple tantrums about what he does, and still coming back to ask to be read out loud because Jason's voice is apparently soothing.

Clockwork tells Danny that he's the clone of a vigilante named Jason Todd who died before he was created. Danny freaks out and goes to find out more about his "real dad" after Clockwork refused to tell him anything other than that Clockwork kidnapped him from an orphanage for time-stream reasons after he was dumped there for being born sickly.

Danny had so much pent up resentment about his parents being crappy and neglectful and at times even outright abusive. To think he might have had a family out there, even if his dad is dead there must be other members right? He just needed to find them

Danny arrives in Gotham and stares at Jason's headstone, not sure where to go from here. He lays down a bouquet of flowers as it starts to rain causing him to tuck the Infi-map into his jacket to safety. He begins forming a mental checklist when he gets spooked by a man greeting him and introducing himself as Bruce Wayne.

Danny, being from another dimension and just arriving today didn't show any recognition to his name, which Bruce noticed immediately. He also noticed that this little 10-ish year old kid looked a lot like Jason.

Like his mini.

Like his clone.

Bruce Wayne later proceeds to go try to find any info he can on "Danny Todd" but nothing seems to be coming up. Yeah, Bruce didn't actually think Dannys story about being Jason's long lost cousin would be true but he also didn't expect to find absolutely nothing on this kid.

Legally he didn't exist.

He and the other bats kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. For this kid to do something. Instead he kept looking for info on Jason. It was...weirdly innocent things too. Once he found out Dick knew him (but Dick didn't tell him from where) he asked all sorts of questions, like what was his favorite colors? Did he have a favorite season? What were his hobbies? Favorite animal? Dick started getting a bit overwhelmed by how much this clone wanted to know about Jayson.

I wonder if this fic would be better with Jason being alive or if he was never revived...hmm.

Inspired by this, but a bit too far away from it to be a prompt fill (I think?). It's also more of a prompt as well, since I don't know how to continue it nor have the time to do so at the time.

Jeweled Rage

Danny knew he had been staring too long at the guy, judging by the suspicious glances from him and the two he was with. But really his mind was kinda stuck on how the guy had managed to get some kind of supernatural jewelry stuck in his chest.

It didn’t feel exactly ghostly but he knew it was on the dead spectrum. He just knew that this was the reason Clockwork had given specific (if cryptic, like always) instructions when he was going to meet Jazz in Gotham.

He inwardly groaned as the trio made their way over to him, deciding to confront him for staring.

“Is there a reason you’ve been staring at me?” Jason said aggressively.

Danny grimaced. “Yeah… I have absolutely no clue how to start this conversation but I can already tell you it is not heading in the direction you think it is.”

Tim raised an eyebrow. “Well that’s not any less suspicious than before.”

Danny sighed. “Look, I was given specific instructions before I came to Gotham by a guy who is cryptic up the wazoo but knows basically everything. I’m supposed to tell ‘the one with the Jeweled Rage’ that ‘The Hellblazer is the answer to ending the Rage.’ And since you are the one with the Jewelry problem, that is your message.”

Dick blinks, turning to look at Tim. “Jewelry problem? Did I miss something while I was working out today?”

Both Tim and Jason look just as confused, turning to look skeptically at Danny, with Tim asking, “What Jewelry problem are you talking about?”

Danny frowned. “You mean you don’t know about the piece of supernatural Jewelry stuck in his chest?” He says, pointing at Jason.

The three freeze before Jason bursts out, “If there was something stuck in my chest how wasn’t it seen by an x-ray?! I know I’ve broken my ribs more than once over the years!”

Danny deadpans. “Unless it was a supernatural x-ray the chances of seeing it is microscopic. Supernatural shit is weird.”

Dick suddenly reaches out, grabbing Danny’s wrist. “You are coming with us while we get this figured out.”

Danny gives a bare minimum of resistance, face resigned, already knowing something like this would happen. “I better be fed while being held hostage or I will ensure you have the worst minor inconveniences for a month.”

So what if, instead of Danny being sent to find Jason because of Clockwork, he just notices the jewel because it looks really pretty… but in a deeply unhealthy way? Like how looking tubercular was considered fashionable in the Victorian era.

Set this in liminal Amity Park. Danny’s class is in Gotham for an event that Jason, Dick and Tim are attending too. I’m thinking, classical book convention: Lancer saw the opportunity to take his class on a field trip. Who cares if it’s in Gotham? They’re Amity Parkers. Jason of course wanted to go, there’s this section on old photos that caught Tim's attention, and Dick saw it as a sibling bonding opportunity, so it ended up being a 3 siblings bonding activity. 

The Amity kids are allowed to roam freely, and Danny, while walking with Sam and Tucker, suddenly spots Jason, the sight is so beautiful he has to stop, Sam and Tucker continuing to walk deep into one of their rants. 

Little jewels orbit Jason’s soul like a miniature planetary system, and Danny finds himself staring, mesmerized. He doesn’t realize how long he’s been staring until the trio approaches him, and the one with the shiny soul asks bluntly:

“Why are you staring?”

Danny, too used to Amity’s deep liminality, just assumes the guy knows what he looks like and made this aesthetic choice deliberately. So Danny, completely deadpan, responds:

“I mean, I have to ask how and why, obviously.” He gestures toward Jason’s chest. “I admit, it’s mesmerizing, but… doesn’t it hurt?”

Jason, utterly confused, opens his mouth to respond, only for someone else to beat him to it.

“What hurts?” Sam peeks over Danny’s shoulder, having finally noticed he’d stopped walking. “Whoa, that looks so cool! How’d you get it like that?”

“Cool?” Tucker says, appearing on Danny’s other side, squinting at Jason.. “I say it looks uncomfortable.”

“But you gotta admit the shining is quite captivating.” Danny responds. 

Tim and Dick squint at Jason, trying to see what the kids are seeing. Jason does not appreciate being talked about like he’s a museum exhibit, and he still has no idea what these kids are talking about. But before he can ask, the goth girl is calling another girl over, who gushes at him too, and then she calls over another group of teenagers.

Before the Waynes know what’s happening, an entire class has surrounded Jason, arguing about whether the weird, beautiful, thing they’re seeing is worth how visibly unhealthy it looks.

Dicks efforts to calm the teenage group is futile, and Jason is getting increasingly more frustrated, Dick is sure he’s close to sploding and he wants to avoid that. This outing was primarily for Jason. Tim, realizing there’s no use trying to question the teens yet, focuses on being an annoying little sibling and records Jason's slow descent into rage.

It isn’t until Lancer appears and scolds his class for the scene they’re making that the group is dissolved. Lancer apologizes with the three and makes Danny apologize as well since he obviously started all the mess. Danny thought that would be it, but now the bats want their answers.

That’s not your medicine? - DC X DP prompt

Another idea I can't work on because time isn't on my favor, so I'm just begging someone else to write it TwT.

Slightly inspired by this post.

Years have passed by, and the ecto-acts were never repelled. Time has gone by, and Danny’s Jason's husband. Jason, friends and the family have noticed that Danny isn’t human but don’t bring it up because Danny seems terrified every time the subject seems to be about to be brought up (Yes, even Bruce wasn't able to question Danny. How would he? He tried to bring it up once and he was sure Danny was going to faint right then and there). 

Danny has some health issues. Fatigueness, muscle pain, random dizziness, fevers that seem to come out of nowhere. Apparently it is a chronic issue, since Jason caught Danny taking some red pills early in their marriage. Jason didn’t recognize the medicine's name, something Blossom, so he imagined it was something specific to his species. 

The married couple had been living happily for years and the family adores Danny.

One day a ghost faces into his house asking Danny for help, and of course Danny basically has a full on panic attack at being outed. Jason holds him close, grounds him and lets him calm down.

The ghost tells Danny that they need to do some errands in the human world, but the GIW has become way more active around the area he needs to visit, and needs to know how Danny has managed to hide so far. The conversation goes somewhat like this:

“I’m sorry, I don’t think you would want to do what I do. Even if you do, I’m not sure you can.”

“Please just tell me, I’ll decide if I want it by myself.”

Danny sights. He disappears for a moment in their bedroom and comes back with his medicine. He opens the bottle and inclines it to let the ghost see.

“I take this.”

The ghost looks into the bottle and is absolutely horrorized.

“Danny, you- you’re poisoning your core!”

“I know…”

“What do you mean poison?” Jason asks, alarmed “Isn’t this your medicine?”

Danny won’t meet his face. 

“How can you be consuming this!? How long-”

“I don’t have any other options, okay!? I can’t run into the infinite realms and hide like the rest of you! I have to reside on this side of the veil!” Danny snaps at the ghost.

“But this… you must be in excruciating pain.”

Summary:

After the explosion in the lab took the lives of Jack, Maddie, and Jazz, Danny was placed under Vlad’s guardianship. Life with Vlad turns out to be far worse than Danny could have ever imagined. The fruitloop turns out to be a cannibal, and with with the obsession of molding Danny into his perfect son (miniature copy), the man decides Danny must follow the same grotesque diet. Between the harsh punishments (torture) and the constant threats, Danny has grown docile, but being forced to feed their guests human meat makes him decide it is time to change things.

Vlad’s shady contracts had already put him on the Batfamily’s radar, but after spotting a clearly abused teenager at a gala, the team decides to intervene. What was supposed to be a simple rescue quickly spirals into something more complex as Vlad’s non-human nature is revealed, and the bats find out that Amity Park’s ghost issue has been hidden to the rest of the world.
