Realising you're ace in the midst of a relationship is not for the weak.

I am in a relationship of 4 months right now. The relationship before that I thought I didn't enjoy being sexual because of the person I was with, but now I know it's just me and the fact that I seldom experience sexual attraction.

In the beginning I let my partner do what they desired, not because they were pushing me or anything I just thought, maybe I'd enjoy it this time around. I didn't.

So I told them that I have reason to believe I'm ace. The reaction I got was silence. Days after I tried to strike up a conversation about it again. They just told me I shouldn't close myself off because they have needs aswell.

I thought we could work it out somehow, that there had to be some way around it. That hope shattered so fast, you wouldn't believe. They tried convincing me, guilt trips, and treating me poorly when I said no.

It's insane that the sentence "I don't want to have sex anymore" can make people show sides of themselves you didn't even know they had. Still haven't broken up with them, I just went radiosilent because I don't know how to confront them.

I think some of you forgot that autistic people sometimes act strange and say things that are poorly worded and speak with incorrect tone and misunderstand or miss social cues because they are autistic
