randomly thinking about this old post of mine regarding Alphys and Mettaton, so if y'all want to check it out, imma reblog it

You know... There's a chance Alphys never actually lied to Asgore about Mettaton's orgin, like a lot of people say.

[Mettaton, during the quiz show, answering "Asgore" to the "Alphys's crush" question]

Alphys didn't show Mettaton to Asgore in an attempt to become the royal scientist. She did it to simply impress him when she was crushing on him at the time.

Bratty is the one that refers to Mettaton as "a robot with a soul". There's not really an indication that that's what Alphys told Asgore And Mettaton refers to his combat features (something we... don't actually see much of during the quiz show) as what was used to impress Asgore.

So who really knows, to be honest.

Honestly, I personally like to think that Alphys's whole "lying" streak only started once everything started going wrong, with the Determination experiments and the Amalgamates, rather than her just always being that way.

Maybe that's just bias of me loving Alphys to bits, but I dunno.

I like to think that Asgore knew about Alphys making the body for Mettaton, seeing it as her giving Mettaton hope, something he wants to do for all of monsterkind, and gave her the job because he thought it was fitting with what she did for Mettaton.

Frisk Eighbits LNU (LNU stands for "Last Name Unknown")

This is basically my take on Frisk, 11 years after the events on Undertale itself. I guess it's a timeskip AU, but nothing has truly been "skipped", aside from things that aren't too important to their story.

Honestly, one of the funniest parts of Undyne in Undertale is the fact that it's possible her belief that "anime is real" likely is part of the reason she so actively pursues Frisk, yet is also afraid of them until they become friends.

"This room...! That sure was a tense scenario. I just wanted to help that poor kid, but... I thought if I tried, you'd attack me! Thankfully, you ended up saving them." -- Undyne, in the phonecall in the room with the small bridge that Monster Kid tripped and almost fell from, if you helped them

Undyne was prepared for you/Frisk being able to do literally anything she's seen from anime, and that includes lasers, explosions, death-blows, etc. etc.

And that's regardless of you being a child, considering how many overpowered children there are in anime.
