MEILL Sconce
šø : ELOREA, LA
Found in a perfume cafe, this pleated, modern wall sconce finds its form through the architectural elements of louvers evoking a clean, well-ventilated structure. Engineered polymer gives the horizontal fins a traditional handmade paper-like feel. Resonate of origami folds or accordion pleats, the blend creates a minimalistic visual rhythm. At first glance the fixture appeared to be a glimpse into a post-modern culinary illusionālike a projection of neatly cornered, print-flat pancakes: flavorless in substance, yet perfumed enough to seduce the senses into disbelief. Itās stacked layers evoked not nourishment, but suggestionāeach layer a breath suspended between notes of cardamom, iris, and sandalwood (the makeup of ELOREAās āEarth Eau De Parfumā). Its G8 6W 90+ CRI 600 lm dimmable composure emulated the warmth of honey and toast of spiceācollectively creating a phantom flavor of clean wood and fiery notes. An ambient light ripple caught in folded timeāits ribbed silhouette emits an amber soft glow like a lantern reimagined by Bauhaus monks.
