Eren's character

Okay but, even Isayama himself said he didn't understand Eren's character, he just felt the need to put a character like Eren in the story, with that he developed other characters abandoning Eren's in the process which is just sad

While there's nothing wrong with developing other characters, it's pretty unfair since he's the main character, is it because since Eren was doomed to die, it felt like hey you're going to die anyway so why bother making your intentions clear? why bother making you a pov?

Because Isayama doesn't really know what direction Eren's character will go except to die

and if it appeases you to those who'd be ready to go and claw out my throat for saying this, I was anticipating for months what will Eren do? I understand his character since i relate to him so much but not the point where i'd know what he'd do next

Though if you think about it not a lot can really understand Eren's character so there's that

Some think of him before as a Chad,

Some think of him as a cold hearted bastard who doesn't care if the people he cherishes lives are on the line

Some think he's just plain stupid for not confiding with anyone about his memories

Some just don't really know and yeah

If what Isayama did intend for Eren's character themes to be misunderstood then i guess that's great? It's just that the execution of it was half-baked

If you come at me for this, try me lol, this has been haunting my mind since last night and i couldn't fucking sleep

it's been months and i'm still upset over the ending and hey you can say stay mad but all i really wanted was Eren's character to be cleared out, his intentions etc, explaining Ymir's decision other than that creepy love for Fr*tz, the hallugencia but i saw a theory about how it needs water to stay alive and it had been exposed to air so poof
