I’ve been so close to finishing this fic but I struggle so much with emotional conversations that it’s unreal, at this point I’m going to just get it out of my system and hope for the best

i change my pfp to Edgeworth for a week and suddenly I'm looking up loose leaf tea blends with fancy names and teapots on etsy what is wrong with me
the urge to indulge in my hot drink interest and use my sisters abandoned unused french press to brew some coffee that hasn't been opened but expired three years ago and spend a slightly embarrassing amount of money on Tea Supplies

Sometimes I like things more because I KNOW it’s making some misogynistic dudebro mad. I like making Link trans but it’s even better bc there are people convinced that he’s like the peak masculine hero when he’s always been a short sleepy twink.
I love taking the badass guy characters that get put on edgy tshirts and purifying that toxic masculinity like it’s a game, get with it, Deadpool is queer, Batman is a father who is crazy traumatized and maybe a little autistic, make them more than just silly action figures who fight your little sisters Barbie’s.
Every time I see a fictional dude that guys just LOVE, I’m going to make him trans out of spite. I think it’s good for me.

Honestly the more I learn about Batman comics the more pissed I am that modern dc movies are so allergic to giving Batman a robin. They’re always so focused on Bruce being edgy that they forget his emotional support orphans, and I know since they’re going the ultra serious no fun route for the Batman 2 there most likely won’t be a tiny brightly colored acrobat following goth Robert Pattinson around and that is going to be the most tragic missed opportunity ever.
#technically Jason Todd at least exists in the dccu as like an Easter egg which means batfleck is being a whore in his post-Jason pre-Tim era#now I’m also upset that the only dccu canon Batkid is Cass but they completely changed her character for birds of prey#that’s as someone who is generally a defender of birds of prey I love that movie#they just took all of Cass’ interesting backstory and abilities and turned her into a pickpocket without an emo father to brood silentlywith#dc movies are just allergic to making good interesting decisions huh#why aren’t all Batman movies about Bruce getting fifteen kids who all want to fight crime and him having to deal with basic emotions#shut up about the riddler I wanna see this new dad struggle to catch his adhd child swinging off of his chandelier#I need to see him struggling to contain Damien’s murderous urges with alarming efficiency#I want to see him adjust to being part of a family again and being soft in the Batman outfit#terror and darkness incarnate being real nice to the kid that hides in his cape is so Batman why did they take that from him#I don’t get it#people are loving the gruff but soft dads in media I mean look at tlou or the mandolorian#this turned into a rant but I am not sorry#this is why the Lego Batman movie is peak batman movie btw#they gave him a son and forced him to be a part of a family#anyway I’m done

#this is actually really helpful i love visualizing the timeline of especially this disaster zone#and like a month earlier was bridge to the turnabout so like... Events are Happening#i love that theres literally two weeks between Them losing their badges imagine if they had overlapped in any way#its like a sandwich where phoenix's trauma is the bread and edgeworths trauma is everything else#miles has like a week to recover and have his badge before phoenix calls him up like 'uhhh... i think i fucked up...'#if they were really involved with each others cases at this point they would not get a break and it would affect them both physically#thats why phoenix isn't in the AAIC it would give him a heart condition (if he doesn't already have one)#thats why phoenix is hesitant to contact edgeworth bc he knows that guy has been going through it recently#not just bc he refuses to ask for help unless hes literally hospitalized and barely conscious
