I know "atheist" and "irreligious" aren't exactly the same but I can't contain the entirety of human experience in a tumblr poll 👍
#yeah#sometimes i talk to some deeply religious friends and they have so much hope and#faith that the world is a good place and that they are loved and that someone cherishes their existence#or just. that someone Sees and acknowledges thzir suffereing etc#and sometimes#it looks really nice

While making dinner tonight, I very very fleetingly, but very seriously and legitimately thought “I should watch Goncharov tonight”

Be honest: Have you ever loved reading fanfiction for a pairing you don't actually know, without any intention to ever read or watch the actual source material?

Fandom Problem #9226:
In the online spaces I used to be in I used to always see people talking about queer representation being too "surface level." And idk if I'm the odd one out here, but I actually prefer that kind of representation?
A good example is a recent episode of Bluey. During a scene in the kids' school, one of the kids briefly mentions his moms. It wasn't acknowledged and was treated like any other kid mentioning their mom and dad.
I prefer that sort of representation rather than some massive commentary on transphobia/homophobia that points out every social injustice queer people face, in a story with previously has had no purpose except entertainment (or the point of the story not having anything to do with queerphobia). I prefer that representation because I am just a person. I would rather be treated like everyone else in fiction than be treated like some tool to promote a world view, even if I agree with that view. It feels dehumanizing when people demand queer characters be used for some big criticism about society.
