Sometimes I just like to think of Leafy venting out her frustrations coming to a realization during it.

Someone get this leaf some therapy. She hadn't had a single consistent pillar of support in her life and the only one she thought she was closest to kept giving her mixed signals.

I can't help but absolutely love this quote from Leafy in that episode.

Something about Leafy admitting what they're doing is menace behavior, and kinda admitting how it can be a bit fun to do sometimes, kinda just....

Alright that's it, you know what? I'll just shove a crap ton of my related headcanons of the object shows I like, into one silly continuity, which in itself, may have AUs based on whatever I crossed over with it (may or may not be hinting on something in the works hah)

I'm calling it Restirred AU for now, because I can't think of anything else. I'll probably retag some older posts too for convenience

With that out of the way, here's the official 'first' post for Restirred AU.

The Questionable Influence Duo, Nickel and Taco

I like to think they ended up becoming friends in a way. Frenemies? It's complicated.

What do you do when you meet someone like you but you don't really like yourself all that much? But at the same time is trying to learn to be kinder to not just everyone, but also yourself?

You hate them mainly because you hate yourself, and because you know they can do better and should do better, just like how you know you could too. Yet you're all too familiar with how difficult it actually is.

Anyway, more rambling under the cut.

(Some of these are copy pasted from the stuff I typed out in Bluesky but I added a bit more.)

I'm not sure if I'm making any sense, or if I'm even articulating all this right, but wjdjfjrdjdr object show hyperfixation go brrrrrrrrr

Obviously these are just my personal headcanons, you're free to think differently.

I like to think they don't always hang out, but when they do and have the same goal, they make for an annoying force to be reckoned with. Otherwise they're competitive and often insult each other.

It certainly took a while to actually warm up to each other. But once the two did, they ended up getting along well enough, even if it doesn't seem like it. Their ability to shrug off each other's scathing insults and blatant aggressive honesty is something the two value from each other.

Though they definitely also can feed on each other's worst flaws in bad ways. Luckily, Both have other support systems to turn to and keep the two from essentially spiralling into an echo chamber of mutual spite of things they both hate. (Like I think if they were each other's only friends instead? I imagine there would've been a chance where they only strengthen each other's problematic views, both forcing themselves to only ever have each other, and only worsen their bad behavior. Being too alike that they only sink each other down sort of thing.)

They're both objects who did horrible things to others with genuine malicious intent and selfishness. Both have an innate distrust of others, critical and pessimistic opinions of everything.

Who are both trying to be better, because and with the help of those they grew to care about.

I personally think they'll make for a fun friendship dynamic. They both keep each other in check in a way, They both can feel somewhat comfortable knowing they've both struggled with similar problems and behaviors and acknowledge the issues with that and work on controlling it and coping healthier.

There's nothing quite like having someone who has gone through the same thing and thought the same thoughts to turn to. Sometimes it's not necessarily the comfort or sympathy that you need, but instead someone who understands what it's like and to process it with.

More Leafy doodles! This time closer to my personal take of Leafy and how I personally like to portray em.

The design itself isn't unique by any means, I'm pretty sure I've seen hundreds that do the same thing, it's more so the little details and headcanons I have of her and how her character development would've gone.

One of the thingies is that my personal take would've been she probably would've chosen a less outright aggressive approach to win over the contestants in Bfdia 19.

Still clingy, kinda manipulative, admittedly definitely quite a lot still. Just less aggression considering she is trying to win them over especially after what she's done. And a bit prone to dumping her insecurities onto others and quite a bit more obviously desperate for any sort of friendship. Which of course diverges from how she is from the later season.

There's more to it of course but I'm not in the mood to spill essays worth of my personal take/headcanon on one of my favorite characters.

I come bearing Yuri today, Saltpep flavor.

I have my own lil headcanons for how the contestants slowly come to their own now that they're no longer competing. One of them is Pepper learning to be more of her own object! And even finding herself some other friends outside of just Salt.

More of my rambling under the cut I guess

Like, I imagine there was a bit of a drift between Salt and Pepper and it kinda ended up making Pepper feel unwanted, unneeded and taken for granted, worse yet when she realizes that others simply treat her as a 'copy' and it doesn't help she basically was made to be one. She ended up finding herself in the company of Pickle and Knife in particular and while it took a bit, she eventually warmed up enough to be somewhat part of their triad of sort and even sometimes with the other menu squad (to much of Salt's jealousy). She really comes to her own after awhile and gains some self confidence that isn't inherently tied to her being with Salt. Eventually gaining the confidence to confront Salt about how she was treated.

They eventually make up but Pepper no longer tags around her like a sidekick, and speaks out about her own thoughts and opinions this time.

Salt is still a bit boy crazy for OJ, but she does keep her promise to try to not disregard her bestie this time around and to maybe, tone it down a bit. Or at least don't get herself too much into trouble. (She's more than willing to be a shoulder to cry on but she ain't involving herself in any schemes nor will she let her lol)

Others don't really get why Pepper still bothers with her, maybe it's because she's hard coded to follow her lead, maybe it's her more than friendship feelings for her, sometimes she questions it herself haha, but she sticks by her side, and is ever patient.

Salt on the other hand, struggled quite a bit with going against her instincts, considering she's the supposed 'valley girl' stereotype and those can be prone to being crazy for guys. She didn't even really care that much at first when Pepper left, fully expecting she'll come crawling back and begging to be her friend again, and ignored her worries by burying herself into her obsession.

She feels a bit entitled to "getting the guy" and feels a bit frustrated that she hasn't. Sometimes she gets a small bout of clarity, wondering why she even is doing this, and that she doesn't even like OJ that much anyway. But she finds herself looping back to it when she isn't sure of what to do. Everyone else was doing something else, she doesn't really know how else to be.

It was through Pepper pushing her and making her confront her flaws that got her to at least try, to be better.

Salt can honestly go to genuinely oblivious, or simply acting oblivious since she hasn't professed her own feelings yet.

But anyway I'm eepy,I kinda just pushed to finish this before I forget it so yeah gjtkfskerkd

The possibility of Leafy being the host sounds really funny, and the impossible chance that both Evil Leafy and Leafy hosts are also funny. Though I can't help but feel like this is exactly what the creators expect us to pick.

I like to think the contestants prefer Evil Leafy to be host haha.

I thought I couldn't possibly like Scrapbook more than I did before... They gave him goggles... With green lenses. You have no idea how much my hyperfixated dumb brain went squealing over such a small thing, as someone who loves green and loooooveeess goggles.

But anyway, I figured It was about time I drew em! I decided to draw Scrapbook in their cosplay, and my own sona dressed as one of my favorite characters in one of my favorite series, Rasputin Aquato from Psychonauts!! And it just so happens that it was its 20th anniversary a few days ago!
