Prologue!

Prologue Year xx27 I stared aghast at him as he proclaims the one thing Keepers are never to do….send their charge away from their ever watchful eye. “We can’t send her away!” I still can’t bring myself to believe he could suggest this. Colin, my fellow Keeper, stares back at me with the calm patience of a  knight. Which makes sense a he is from the Knight Tribe, sent here to be a Keeper with me of the last Royal Heir. Colin is so very tall and rail thin, much unlike the typical knight stature of stocky build. Even female knights are stocky. His pale blue eyes are framed by almost white lashes that match his military cut hair. “We don’t have a choice. The Dark Lord wants her. She isn’t safe here anymore!” He proclaimed. The Dark Lord, Grail, is the leader of the Dark Tribe. Over recent years he has become power hungry. He claims his children should not be kept in the darkness any longer. Grail believes that they should lead the world instead of the king and queen. That’s why he attacked today. Him and all of dark children made for a fearsome force. We were only able to save the Royal Heir. The only child our beloved king and queen had. “The Dark Lord has just annihilated everyone here, including the king and queen. We must send the infant someplace she will be safe and hidden.” He patiently explains to me as if I were a child. A child! As if I, Katrina, could ever be described as a child! I’ve a thousand years compared to his puny forty. Because I am a witch of the Warlock Tribe, I can live indefinitely. Though, to be fair, a thousand years is the equivalent to twenty years in the Warlock Tribe. “Well, where are we to send her? We still have to be able to watch her as her Keepers.” I’m exasperated at this point. There really is no arguing with Colin when he makes his mind up. “The Fairy Tribe will hide her. Armaryllis will ensure she is treated no differently than the rest of the fairies. The Dark Lord will never expect to find her there.” He explains in his cool manner. “The fairies?!” I am dumbfounded by this! Of all the tribes to hide the last Royal Heir! “The Angel Tribe would be a much better place to hide her! What with their military!” “And that would be expected!” Colin explodes. His patience finally at it’s end. He pinches the bridge of his nose and takes a depth breath. “Besides, Armaryllis is already waiting for us.” I have no choice but to agree with him…

Intro of Characters

So, here I have a list of main characters that I have come up with including names and descriptions. I’ve even developed different ‘tribes’ to really give the novel the real of an entirely different world, vast and foreign.

As you read the list you can tell this will be a fantasy novel with a lot going on. Currently I’m trying to develop what the fantasy world will look like itself. More specifically, I’m going to design a map of sorts before I figure out all of the details like houses and plant and animal life.

At the bottom of the list, I have provided a short synopsis of where I want this novel to go.

All tribes live separately but are under the rule of the royal family.

King and queen are dead (murder by dark lord) with Beatrice as the only heir.

Beatrice is sent away as an infant before her ability emerges to live with the fairies. Her keepers (the ones who sent her into hiding) do not know yet what her ability will be.

The dark lord searches for her raising chaos throughout each mystic tribe. Takes years to get through each one as he makes plans and sends out his dark creatures to find clues and bring back possible suspects.

Beatrice grows with the fairy tribe while her keepers act as regents. Gains her first tattoo from the fairy tribe.

Beatrice and Lily travel to each tribe for Beatrice to gain new powers in order to stop Grail.

Goes first to knight tribe where they meet Rove. Rove falls for Beatrice and swears his life to her and follows them on their journey.

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by my blog! On this blog, I will be posting parts of the novel I am currently writing. The process will be slow since I’m busy all the time. I plan on posting some sketches with the chapters that I post. As you can see from my picture my drawing skills are sub par at best. I’m a decent (that’s also being generous) painter and may paint some scenes or ideas here and there. Also, the chapters that I post may only be half thought out at times but will be revisted at later dates. If you have tips for writing or see some plot flaws that come along, please let me know! I love constructive criticism! One last thing, please do not share/repost ideas/characters/images without permission!
