5/14/15 Playlist - Student Teachers to Dee Edwards Doing a new thing where I type up the connections before the show, makes it easier to read during the show. I loved this show, but it was during Spring Show, so listeners were already being musically fulfilled. The Tyler the creator sample was probably my fav. Rapsody was a good find. The R Stevie and Ariel Pink/Soko tracks were awesome as well. And thank you kexp for introducing me to Student Teachers via track of the day.

April 30th - Javelin to Junior Reid Javelin worked with Tom Ze who was rediscovered by David Byrne who had a record produced by Morcheeba whose Skye Edwards had work done by Patrick Leonard who also did instrumentals for Leonard Cohen who featured backup vocals by the Webb Sisters who also performed with the Avett Brothers whose Seth Avett did an album of Elliot Smith covers with Jessica Lea Mayfield who has worked with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys who also produced for Ray LaMontagne who features pedal guitar from George Leisz who also worked on Meshell Ndegeocello's record who did vocals for Basement Jaxx who also feature Dizzee Rascal and BPA who is also known as Fatboy Slim whose Weapon of Choice features work from Bootsy Collins who also performed for the Soup Dragons who has also featured work by Junior Reid.

April 23rd - Yournalist to Isley Brothers Yournalist are a fantastic Finnish band as are Laika and the Cosmonauts who are one of Dick Dale's favorite bands who has collaborated with Stevie Ray Vaughan who has covered and was a great fan of Hendrix whose manager was a member of the Animals whose Andy Summer was also in the Police whose drummer was supposed to work with the Doors (lots of lawsuits). Back to Hendrix who worked with the Isley Brothers who have been heavily sampled, including by Kendrick Lamar and Bjork who was subsequently sampled by Death Grips.

April 9th Show - Yumi Zouma to KMD Yumi Zouma had a music video done by the same production group as The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and School of Seven Bells. I don't remember the connection betwen the Horros and School of Seven Bells, it is killing me, but The Horrors' Tom Cowan is brothers with Freddie Cowan of the Vaccines whose latest record was produced by Dave Fridmann who produced Sleater-Kinney's The Woods who currently has THEESatisfaction opening for them on tour who have collaborated with Shabazz Palaces who shares members with Chimurenga Renaissance who shares members with Digable Planets. Shabazz Palaces is also featured on a Flying Lotus mixtape who has worked on Kendrick Lamar's records and also collaborated with Viktor Vaughan (Between Villains) aka MF Doom and Earl Sweatshirt (who samples one eskimo). MF Doom is also King Gheedorah and worked with Madlib on Madvillainy, with Madlib being a member of Lootpack and Jaylib and making Latin music with Jackson Conti. Back to MF Doom and FlyLo. MF Doom was a member of KMD as well.

April 2nd Show - Moon Duo to Cramps Moon Duo/Wooden Shjips/Telekinesis?Shins/Sleater-Kinney/Elliot Smith/Malkmus & Jicks all feature production from Larry Crane, with the last one being involved in a music for the Cribs who feature Johnny Marr of the Smiths. Lee Ronaldo also worked on Cribs records, with him being from Sonic Youth which also makes music as Ciccone Youth with a man named Jim Sciavunos playing drums for them and Nick Cave as well. Kid Congo Powers of Nick Cave's band also played guitar for Gun Club and the Cramps.

3/11/15 Playlist - Hanni El Khatib to DJ Shadow.

Hanni El Khatib did album design for St. Vincent whose Brian Lebarton did vocals on a Tobacco track (who is Black Moth Super Rainbow) who had Serengeti on a track who did a track with MF Grimm who was a member of Monsta Island Czars whose DJ Subroc (SpaceGodZilla) was also a member of KMD and a producer for 3rd Bass who had production from Prince Paul who did production for De La Soul who was featured on a Gorillaz record who feature Little Dragon who did vocals on a DJ Shadow track.

3/4/15 Playlist - Ink Spots to Broken Social Scene

The Ink Spots featured Ella Fitzgerald on Into Each Life... who did guest vocals on a Quincy Jones record who produced a hidden track on Terrace Martin’s record, which featured Kendrick Lamar who did a verse on a Tame Impala track for the Mockingjay soundtrack whose Nick Allbrook is a member of Pond whose latest record was produced by Kevin Parker of Tame Impala who also produced Melody’s Echo Chamber’s record and also was featured on Mark Ronson’s new record who produced Kaiser Chiefs records whose member Andrew White was a member of the Dears whose Murray Lightburn performed on a Broken Social Scene record.

Ugly Casanova is Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse who did a cover called South of Heaven with Califone who has performed with Rebecca Gates (Kris Kristofferson cover) of Spinanes whose Scott Pluof was a drummer for Built to Spill whose Ralf Youtz played bass for the No No’s whose Heather Dunn performed with Dub Narcotic Sound System whose Calvin Johnson is in Halo Benders whose Calvin Johnson is in Go Team whose Tobi Vail was in Bikini Kill whose Kathleen Hanna is in Le Tigre who did production/writing for Christina Aguilera’s “My Girls” which also featured production from Peaches.

Guided By Voices' lead singer is Robert Pollard who was in Boston Spaceships whose John Moen is in the Decemberists whose Sara Watkins is in Works Progress Administration whose Benmont Tench provided instrumental support for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers whose drummer Stan Lynch worked with Eurythmics who did a song with Aretha Franklin who released a gospel record with Mavis Staples who sang vocals on a Chuck D track who was featured on a N.A.S.A. track which also featured David Byrne who was the lead singer of Talking Heads who shared Bernie Worrell with Funkadelic which shares many members/was part of a larger group with Parliament whose George Clinton was featured on a Primal Scream track whose member Kevin Shields leads My Bloody Valentine, also providing guitar work on a DJ Spooky track (on an album also featuring Dale Crover and Thurston Moore, pretty gangster).

2/11/15 - Gladys Knight & The Pips to Babyshambles Gladys Knight had a duet on a Ray Charles record who provided vocals on an INXS song who, on their song Original Sin, had vocals from Hall from Hall & Oates who produced and wrote for a Bon Jovi record whose guitarist was featured and did a remix for LL Cool J who was produced by Rick Rubin and was a part of the early NY hip hop movement with RUN-DMC who did Walk This Way with Aerosmith who were featured on a Bob Marley tribute album whose band the Wailers featured Junior Murvin who wrote Police and Thieves with Lee Scratch Perry which was covered by The Clash (who also had Complete Control produced by Perry) whose Mick Jones produced Libertines records who shares members with Babyshambles.

Iron & Wine did an EP with and had contributions on Shepherd's Dog from Joey Burns of Calexico who did a track on a Bob Dylan biopic with Willie Nelson who sang To All The Girls with Julio Iglesias who did Summer Wind with Frank Sinatra who was in High Society with Bing Crosby who did a famous version of Little Drummer Boy with David Bowie who collaborated on Earthling with Nine Inch Nails who have had drum work from Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters which went on tour with Mike Watt & Hovercraft featuring Eddie Vedder who has done several live renditions of Constellations with Jack Johnson who has collaborated numerous times with G. Love.

Ruby Fray featured vocals from Calvin Johnson of Beat Happening whose song Indian Summer was covered by R.E.M. who also once featured Q-Tip on a song who produced Nas records who has performed on Beastie Boys songs whose song the New Style was sampled by J Dilla who produced for Busta Rhymes who has done rhymes on tracks by Missy Elliott who has remixed/performed a remix live with Madonna who had Like a Prayer produced by Prince who did a song with U2 whose singer Bono performed on a track called Joy with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones who have performed Rocky Road to Dublin with Chieftans who were featured on a Brak album who is featured as a character on Danger Doom's record whose MC MF DOOM was a member of KMD.
