Update: I figured out my problem is that I’m super b12 deficient.

I have the digestive system of a lame deer and I’m super weird about meat and eggs so I rarely eat anything with b12 in it. Huh who knew that eating nothing of any nutritional value for 2 weeks would have consequences. But I ate a bowl of Greek yogurt and took a hot shower and I immediately feel less shaky and awful.

I bought a supplement and I’m gonna try to get into the doctor to see if I have any other deficiencies and if I can get a shot.

Sooo arts been a little slow lately because I’ve been ALL FUCKED UP EVERY WAY FROM HELL

I’ve got multiple stomach problems, mostly FD and IBS, which basically means eternal stomach ache hell. Anyway I started having a pretty bad flare up a couple weeks ago, and to help with that I started a low-fodmap diet about a week ago. Which means I pretty much can’t eat anything of any nutritional value.

It helped the flare but it made everything else worse. Ive got brain fog and fatigue and my arms hurt. I need nutrients and my gut flora is so fucked bro

Redesigning a character so hard that you just made a new guy

Anyway I’m plotting using my old Alastor redesign for an original project of some kind. A story about the residents of a city for the dead set in an infinite Black Sea. Very much a wip, I’m working on a new backstory for him rn but

I don’t think he’s a radio whatever anymore, I like the idea of him having something to do with music or recording, this version of him mostly focuses on him being a former serial killer, cannibal and occultist from 1920s New Orleans. I want him to be more genuinely threatening, more of a gentleman and less… embarrassing?

I’m also making him into an art doll probably starting tonight

being able to make something longform comes with accepting that you are not going to be happy with a lot of what you make initially… it will grow on you, you will forget the original expectations. or you will learn and remake it. just forgive it because at least it exists and allows itself to be prodded in an actual capacity now

I discovered No Evil from the Scribble Kibble video, about… I wanna say 7 years ago.

I binged the entire show in 2 days, then promptly forgot about it until summer 2020, and I’ve been here off and on ever since. It used to be kind of a seasonal hyperfixation, returning to hit me like a truck every so often, but now it kinda stays around on a low hum in the background. I started using it for emotional support occasionally, and increased exposure like that means it’s kind of a special interest? Not as intense as my Kung fu panda interest, it’s not the same buzzing nauseous feeling, but probably a special interest all the same.

What’s funny is the character that brought it back to my memory was Ichabod. I’ve got a soft spot for birds, so of course I remembered that pathetic lanky white boy. I also remembered something nonspecific happening to him and being sad about it. Oh boy was I in for a something. My initial rewatch occurred before One For Sorrow, so I actually cheered and cried when that episode came out, here’s some relics from my old instagram story:

Anyway.

I’ve expanded my horizons a lot since then and now I have a nice handful of favs.

Since I got back into No Evil I’ve made a SHIT ton of fanart, and it’s made a noticeable impact on the way I conduct my creative projects. It also got me into Mexica mythology and Nahuatl which is cool, and also a part of my ancestry technically which is cool.

A little while ago I got stranded in the UP (Michigan upper peninsula) in the middle of the woods at my insane great aunt’s house for a week while we helped her out with some things around her house and No Evil (show and comic) were the only thing keeping me sane.

So No Evil is also good at making you want to punch an old lady less and walk into the lake. so that’s pretty awesome

I'll go first. I found Betsy's work through the Mordred's Lullaby animation and found NE from there. I was around 11 years old and totally in love with And the Raven Brought Fire. To this day, I love all the mythology and folklore references, and remember many hours of joy picking them apart <3
