What is Trap Music?
Trap music is divided into two different styles. You have Trap in the Rap section, which contains trap music artists like Jeezy, TI, Gucci Mane and also from the current era a Future, Migos or even Lil Pump can be registered to Trap Music. Then you also have Trap in the EDM section which has drops and build-ups more than just a beat or melody. Trap EDM artists are trap music artists like Yellow Claw, Hucci, RL Grime, San Holo, DJ Snake and JAEGER. These artists have switched up their style, so not everything they made is considered Trap music.
Okay enough about what Trap Music actually is. Let’s see if you knew these artists are considered trap music artists.
1. The Trap Music Artists
Okay so back in the 1990s and until the 2000’s when the Trap music genre took its form there where many artists that discovered the sound.
T.I.: Abig artist from the first trap music artists era was T.I. who is most notable for actually completely basing his style on Trap music. Songs like “Whatever You Like” and “Go Get It” are very good examples of Trap music.
Gucci Mane: Then there is Gucci Mane who is a Trap music artist. He has been very popular because his iconic face tattoo of an ice-cream cone. He had some controversies with Jeezy and Waka Flacka, which are other big trap music artists.
Chief Keef: For instance think of Chief Keef who made the Drill kind of Trap music popular and has been a good influencer on the Trap music artists like XXXTentacion, Young Thug, Lil Pump, and Juicy WRLD. Songs like “I Don’t Like” or “Love Sosa” have been a huge success.
Future: But also take Future who has been a door opener for the Auto-Tune kind of sound in Trap music that is commonly used by Trap music artists these days. The song “Mask Off” is a good example.
And then there is Diplo, RL Grime, DJ Snake and Yellow Claw who made the Trap EDM rise in popularity by mixing it with other genres or experiment with sounds.

Way More Trap Music Artists
There are way more bigger trap music artists that should be spoken of. These days Trap Music has even become an umbrella term like EDM as well. For example Emo-Rap and SoundCloud rap all are usually based on Trap Music. The reason for this is because of its simplicity, but effectiveness. The 808 makes the song bang in clubs and in cars. The hi-hat creates a constant sound and the snare emphasizes the riddim.

Best hardstyle festival!
In this blog I will tell you what the best hardstyle festivals are. So if you are still wondering if you maybe missed an amazing festival, check it out below!
3. Supremacy
Supremacy this year was amazing, as it always is. The festival is one of the best hardstyle festival there is, especially when looking at indoor versus outdoor. The festival was insanely well organised, all of the DJ’s were performing amazing music and everyone was having a great time. Mainly because, in my humble opinion, the line-up is insane each and every year. From euphoric hardstyle to raw, to hardcore, the line-up is diverse and fitting to one the best hardstyle festival. The mood was epic, the venue was great, all in all an amazing festival. If indoor festivals are your go-to than this festival has to be on your list, as it is probably one of the, if not the best hardstyle festival there is, and I highly encourage everyone reading this to try it out for themselves. If you want to read more about Supremacy, read our festival review here!

2. DefQon 1
Many of you might have expected this festival to be at the number 1 spot, because of how popular this festival is but to me there is a better one. Nevertheless this festival is still insane, there are stages for every kind of hardstyle lover, and even for people that want to go listen to some party music. There is a lot of space, a great choice of food around and many places to sit and rest for a bit, for example the very comfortable hammocks on the festival grounds. DefQon is best known for it’s camping area and the ‘weekend warriors’ as the people who stay there are called. The camping ground offers a lot of bathrooms, showers and facilities to keep waiting lines as minimal as possible, but of course, no festival can shut these out entirely. Overall one of the best hardstyle festival there is, and it is definitely worth a visit if you are interested.
1.     The Qontinent
A surprise for some of you but my best hardstyle festival has to be the Qontinent! This festival has been insanely good for the last few years. There are many stages, an amazing venue and countless of amazing performed sets that blast this festival in the number one spot. Everything is well organised and here you can also stay an entire weekend, which I highly recommend, as the camping grounds are not only spacious, also there are great facilities and there is always something to there, such as playing football, swimming in a pool or just walking around and meeting people! The camping grounds really is one of the selling points of the festival, there are many places there that just make you want to come back every, it truly is the best hardstyle festival there is in my opinion.
