SOUL TRIBE!!! ✨✊🏽💕✊🏽✨This day is profound for me. My EP, Blooming Sun Vol. 1 is available everywhere now. This clip shows new parts of the songs, and now you you can hear the whole album everywhere 🙏 When I started writing music, I had many fears around sharing it. I didn’t consider myself a real songwriter or musician for quite some time. . But I wrote these songs to help me heal - to heal from rejection, abandonment, betrayal, deep unworthiness, unsafety… the list goes on. I was stripping away deep programs from my upbringing, and discovering and reclaiming who I truly am. . In that process, I surrendered and prayed to the Earth, the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, all the elements and cosmos, the Whole Universe that had been my witnesses and guides through my journey (that still continues and never ends). Those prayers turned into these songs that healed me. And I found that it helped heal others as well. So with unending pushes from my soul tribe, I declared that I would move through my fears and insecurities around claiming my artistry, and share my music as a form of personal liberation. And maybe in my own liberation, I can help others in theirs too. It is an honor and privilege to share with you Vol. 1 of Blooming Sun. I am so excited to share it with you. Even though the songs were written from my personal experience, the lyrics are relatable by everyone. I look forward how you see yourself in these songs too. ✨🌿🙏✨ . “Can you hear me sing my song? I will not hide anymore. See my colors rise and shine. You and me. All Divine. ✨ In my heart lives my truth, There is nothing left to prove. We the rainbow - you and I. You can call me Lotus Sky.”🌈🎵 . I was raised in a heavily conservative and heteronormative family with a plan laid out to marry a man, become a doctor, and adhere to the status quo. That was my track, that was all I knew growing up. . During pride, seven years later since coming out as queer, I came out as a musician. ✨🎸🎵 Over the weekend, I let my queer hair down, celebrated my emancipation, reclaimed my identity as a musician, and used Music as a form of Personal Liberation. . I was blessed to sing about showing our colors, about the beauty that we are, and the love that we share. It touched me how well the music was received, and I felt proud to show up FULLY EXPRESSED. We all deserve to show up FULLY EXPRESSED, and I truly believe doing so will heal the world. Show your colors, loves - My Pride is your Pride! 🙏🌈✨ . I am astounded. I decided to make music last year, and with just a few positive actions here and there - saying Yes even when scared - one year later, I opened for the Dyke March concert in the gay capital of San Francisco.
