It was actually difficult to answer that. 

On one hand, Fuze would’ve normally said no with zero hesitation. However, since he was being pinned down by multiple enemies that he had very little intel about, he was slightly inclined to say yes, even if he had only just met the kid. 

Well, he assumed he was just a kid. The boy looked frighteningly young, which made Fuze feel an odd sense to keep him out of the line of fire. It would give him nightmares if he saw a dead child on the battlefield. 

“No,” Fuze said, checking the amount of ammo he had left in his rifle, “But I don’t have many other options, do I?”

The android lets out a soft huff. Being an android meant that he was.. Well, not human. And humans didn’t exactly have a fondness for those who weren’t exactly like them, even though he was made in the visage of humans, after all.

“I’m sure that I can be of some help,” he says, pulling a grenade off of his own body armor and calculating a throw. He pulls the pin, throws it at a precise point to bounce off of a few walls before it detonates, which in turn leaves some of the assailants downed.

“One down, another critically injured.�� He says. “I was meant to help people through information, like it or not.” He peers around the corner, then back at the operator. “I can take care of myself, y’know.”

“That’s an odd-looking doggo.” (from emil!)

The scanner unit looks over at what he called a ‘doggo’. From the looks of it, it was a.. Boar. Well, at least it wasn’t something too dangerous.

“I uh.. Don’t think that’s a doggo, Emil,” Nines replies. “It’s a boar, actually.”

The scanner unit raises and lowers his shoulders in a shrug. It wouldn’t surprise him if the machines would spend their time in the area, since.. Well, they seemed to be full of tricks up their sleeve.

“As far as the area indicates, there’s nothing much of value to be had from this place, but.. Y’know, I could always be wrong. Keeping our guards up sounds like a good idea.”
