Hey there everybody! Ace and I are heartbroken to have to do this, but we think it’s time to make the official announcement. It would seem, as most rp groups do, Serenum has run its course and come to an end. We put a lot of energy, time, and heart into this project, despite facing adversity along the way and a handful of people who were determined to bring us down. As far as we are concerned, the group was a success, and we are so grateful to our members who stuck with us and were loyal throughout our five months. It seems most players have inevitably lost interest and we completely understand that sometimes all you need is a fresh start. So instead of dragging this out, and struggling to keep the dash active, we’ve made the (hopefully healthy) decision to let go. We’ve had a little interest in some open canon characters, and we don’t want to be unfair by welcoming new players into a group where the current players are not writing or engaging with the ooc. So we are closing the curtains on a project that has brought us a lot of joy. Without you guys, we couldn’t have lasted like we did, and we just want to say thank you one final time. It means a lot to us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group. We hope you all feel the same way, despite the fading enthusiasm, and we wish you luck in your future rp endeavours. We will leave the ooc open for another 24 hours should anybody wish to say goodbye, but it probably won’t be long before Ace and I start a new project, so definitely keep an eye out for us. hi there! i saw your skeleton for james potter just there and i’m just hoping you could answer one small question for me before i reach out properly, just for my own peace of mind. the re use of this plot had been okayed by the previous james mun right? i know you’ve said things like personality are utp bit with this relationship being such a big part of the character i wouldn’t want to be in a position to be accused of character stealing. thank you so much!

Hey there, anon! 100 percent, yes! So James was actually picked up by a friend of mine previously who no longer has time to rp. But I essentially gave her this skeleton as a rough outline of what I was hoping for and then we built James and Arlo’s relationship around it. There were a few elements she came up with herself or that we worked on together, but I have emitted those from the skeleton on the Main. I hope that clears things up! Hey, everybody! To address an issue that was raised now that we no longer have a James Potter, we are very excited to announce LILY POTTER as the HEAD OF DUMBLEDORE’S ARMY. Lily is in charge of recruiting, organising training, and any other activities the DA may be involved in. curious question: is james potter’s skeleton set in stone? meaning the character will strictly be with the arlo connection? and if so, is the connection between arlo/james negotiable or non-neg?

Hey, anon! I wouldn’t say a lot of the skeleton needs to be set in stone, but in terms of the connection with Arlo I would really, really like to keep it as it’s written if that’s in any way possible. I understand it’s a strange situation, and a strange thing to ask, and if it doesn’t work out then it doesn’t work out. But the backstory is essentially what I would like to remain unchanged. Everything else, including the current plots, James being the head of the DA, whether he and Arlo argue or have a relationship that’s incredibly easy, is all open to discussion. I don’t want to limit people who might be interested in applying. It’s pretty much a wanted connection. There’s room for compromise everywhere aside from when it comes to how they met, got together, and managed to get Arlo away from his family which is all in the past for both muses. BEATRICE LESTRANGE - DURMSTRANG’S ALUMNA

BLACK AS NIGHT - Beatrice keeps her dresses simple. She didn’t have time to shop, nor does she really trust anyone to design to her needs. Nearly all of her dresses cinch at the waist. The mock neck and sleeves provide a blank slate for her jewelry. She didn’t really think this was a ballgown occasion; the dress only goes up to mid-calf, though it gives her ease of movement.

LESTRANGE ALLOMANCY - The only thing Beatrice makes a point of showing off are the jewelry she received from her husband’s family. The Lestranges were known for their allomancy and some of the old family heirlooms have embedded charms that even Beatrice hasn’t figured out. This necklace and matching earrings are meant to be seen; the Lestrange family were not known for being subtle about wealth, status, and skill in France. Her jewels have an anti-theft charm, weighing heavy to those who try and steal it.

PRACTICALITIES - Her hair is in a low bun to ensure the jewels can be seen at all angles. The shoes have a rounded toe and a touch of red underneath. Her clutch is a black envelope bag with bejeweled clasps, with a small undetectable extension charm for makeup, wand, and a few vials of emergency potions; a similar anti-theft charm is placed upon it. Her nails are beige with a hint of glitter, with a neat oval.
