When two worlds crash together, it can only mean disaster.

It disrupts the movement of the universes, leaves odd overlaps, and broken hearts left behind in its cracks and cuts.

This is what you learn after meeting Jungkook, both age five, still innocent of what this first sight will do to you, when your bright eyes lock onto him at the zoo you’re visiting with your family.

But now, it isn’t the animals that have you staring. Instead, you’re enraptured by a young boy, who you catch a glance of by the other side of the lion enclosure, watching through the netted wire fence, fascinated by the lionesses, who yawn lazilyin a dusky sun of late afternoon.

He’s far more interesting than any of the animals. Maybe because he reminds you of those animals in some way, maybe it’s his sharp eyes, filled with golden flecks swirling in a galaxy around dark pupils, or maybe it’s his unruly back hair, scruffed and roughed up with his hands constantly dragging through the strands, or maybe it’s just the way he carries himself.

Whatever it is, you can’t keep your eyes off him. It’s like he’s from another world.

These goddamn summer fairs were tolerable at best, and nauseating at their worst (though Taehyung would vehemently protest otherwise; the dude adored the sweltering heat and suffocating crowds with his entire being), but you couldn’t find it in you to fight your best friend’s earnest puppy eyes, so here you were anyway.

(Truthfully, he had you hook, line and sinker with the offhanded promise of cotton candy, also known as the very thing capable of your undoing, but no one really needed to know that.)

“I’m surprised you managed to hold out for this long,” Said manipulative asshole had the audacity to comment with an easy-going grin after having hauled you onto every makeshift roller coaster in existence, his bangs matted to his forehead but his skin glowing with exhilaration.

“You—

You huff.

—don’t know what I’d do for cotton candy.”

“I do know, actually,” Chocolate irises glinting with mirth, Taehyung laughs soundlessly, collapsing next to you on a wooden bench conveniently situated next to the food stands, “That’s kind of why we’re here.”

When you are looking up at stars in the night sky, gazing at this mysterious universe in all its wonder from a single reference point, you are actually looking into the past. 

Light travels at approximately 3 x 108 meters per second, which although is extremely fast, it’s not mathematically instantaneous. For this reason, everything you see is a delayed- distant objects more so than proximal ones. Some stars are very, very far away, making it so that their light takes several millennia to reach us. So perhaps if you look out far enough, or closely enough for that matter, you can see everything you thought you never could.

No, this definitely isn’t going to enlighten you on the unproven theories of the universe, help you pass your science classes, or provide answers for the unknown that may very well never be known. As soon as he wakes up, he instantly fumbles and checks the color of the strands of his hair. They’re brown today, he surmised, before he proceeds to stretch his limbs, a low grumble surfacing from his throat. He’s obviously male, and oh, he’s also tall.

He starts to walk to his walk-in cabinet to look for clothes to change into. There in the room were different sizes and kinds of clothes, suitable for all ages and genders. He checks his reflection on the mirror and is able to figure out which clothes would suit him for today: Japanese Street style fashion.

He takes a shower and, afterwards, changes into his clothes. However, he pauses as he sees the rose tattoo on his chest. It had appeared when he turned eighteen, but he paid no attention to it as he knew that it was one of the effects brought about by his condition.

Curling your legs further into your chest you wrapped your arms around them, dropping your chin onto your knee and sighing.
