And I feel (rlly more hope) like Clary’s gonna be the one to do it. That may seem morbid to hope for but I feel like it would be the most interesting story wise. Jace and Janus facing off and Jace being the one to kill him feels expected and a tad bit boring to me (def wanna see them fight and interact but I think it would be anticlimactic if that’s how Janus meets his end). I also don’t think it would be much of a challenge for Jace as a character bc we already know he’d do anything to protect Clary , and with his past in self hatred he rlly might not end up feeling that guilty about killing a deranged version of himself from an alternate reality. For Clary, someone who probably has a lot of sympathy and pity for Janus and what has come of Jace after her death (as well as his mind being morphed by years of Sebastian’s possession) would find it much more challenging and emotionally taxing to have to kill him. I just think it would be a much more dramatic and interesting way for Janus to die.
