I’m not sure if this is what the makers of facetune were intending it to be used for but I just HAD to level the playing field for my boy Shawn. 👩🎨 If Justin can, then Shawn can too

Misogynistic Tinder Unmatch
Jason:
True. ☺️ so I was wondering what sort of things do you do to advocate for LGBT?
Me:
Honestly nothing big lol once I have a job and am able to live on my own I hope to get more involved but for now I’m just trying to speak up for people in my life and online when I see things that I disagree with. Because in the past I have just ignored that sort of thing because it would make me uncomfortable to confront people
Jason:
Well that’s good. It deff takes a lot of confidence and bravery to do that. I like speaking out about things aswell. Like for example I’m hugely against the “me too movement” lmao
But idk what else I could be an advocate for
What’s your opinion on the me too movement
?*
Me:
I honestly haven’t followed it too closely was it not about women speaking out about being sexually abused?
Could you tell me about it?
Jason:
They were speaking out about a time when a guy made an advance on them, made a complement like nice ass or something like that, or at worse touched them when it wasn’t wanted. But here’s the thing
Some of the claims have been from 10+ years ago. And there’s been times when the claims have been found to be exaggerated or made up.
It was just some crazy ex trying to ruin the guys life because she’s psycho lmao
Read about the controversy of it
Also, one girl was drunk and accepted an invitation back to this guys house. And they were about to have sex. Ten years later she decided she didn’t want that and ruined the guys political career. His names Patrick Brown. Was going to be our next Premier of Ontario. She stayed anonymous and went to the media not the police. Never made a police report. She just wanted to ruin his career with the claim.
To add, they were hitting on each other all night.
Idk, it’s tough to explain over text
You’ll just have to read about it when you can
What’s your opinion about that?
Me:
Hmm okay so you’re obviously more educated on the subject than I am but while I educate myself, argue with me for a minute haha
Jason:
Haha ok
Me:
Initially, my thoughts are as follows lol
Jason:
I’m listening lol
Me:
I feel like the movement obviously increases reports by women, both legitimate and not. It may cause an influx of false reports that could ruin careers and all that drama but once it passes the benefit would/could be that women overall will feel more comfortable coming forward about legitimate claims. And this I think is valuable for society beyond the consequences we’re seeing right now. (Once again, this isn’t a firm stance, just initial thoughts)
Jason:
Well here’s the thing
If they felt violated, they could always go to the Police when it happens
Not 10 years later
The police take domestic issues very vey seriously
Very*
They wouldn’t push it aside.
These women are just seeing an opportunity to get back at their ex’s, get money. And feel powerful.
I’m not against women. Just sometimes they can be dramatic and make things up because they don’t like you for something
Me:
I understand what you’re saying. My thinking is that because of this movement, legitimate and false claims will both skyrocket however I think the false ones will taper off and the legitimate reports will continue to come in at a higher rate than before the movement.
Jason:
Right, for sure. But Often what happens is all someone has to do is make a claim. And you lose your job. Patrick Brown is sueing. Because they found his claim to be false. But he had to drop out of the electoral race, and he got kicked out of his party. Just because someone made a claim. It wasn’t even proven to be true.
He was looking great at the time. People were saying he was deff going to be elected. Until the claim
Now we have to deal with Doug Ford. And he’s screwing everything up.
He changed the Sex Ed curriculum. To avoid teaching about same sex. And he’s done a lot more dumb things.
But I get what your saying about women have the confidence to come out and speak about this kind of stuff
Me:
Hmm idk about Pat but there are probably a lot of women who may have entered/won the electoral race but weren’t given the opportunity because of emotional scaring caused by assault by men in their lives too lol so you could argue that as well
Jason:
I think we live in an overly sensitive world now. Lol
Idk
Like you can’t compliment people without they claiming a me too movement
Them*
Lol
I’m just happy I’m gay
And don’t have to deal with women in that way. Cause they are bi-polar sometimes. Not to be rude at all. It’s just when they like you they are the best. When they don’t like you. They are devils. They’ll lie about you and such just to ruin your image or even worse your life
All because they don’t like you
When we talk in person I’ll tell you some stories lol
This stuff is tough to talk about over text. It’s a sensitive topic
And I don’t want to make myself seem sexist. Cause I’m not. Some of my best friends are girls
Haha you ok? Was i offensive? 🙊
Hey you ok? Lol
Me:
Yeah I’m fine I’ve just been out with a friend but yeah I definitely am getting strong misogynistic vibes idk 🚩
Jason:
Lol. No. I’m not. Some of my best friends are girls. We shouldn’t have talked about this over text. It’s a sensitive topic.
As I mentioned.
But read about the me too movement. Some of it has been necessary. Some hasn’t
Me:
But I’m not like reading in between the lines like you just made several extremely broad generalizations. like the amount of times you said “they” followed by something negative is alarming. Any time you say “they” when talking about an entire segment of the population you ought to be careful with what comes next lol
Jason:
Ah well I’m sorry that I made you feel that way. Wasn’t my intentions and I’m not sexist in anyway
Intention*
Hey, I also don’t see how that is a red flag. In terms of us possibly dating or seeing each other. Cause we’re not girls
Lol
