Not going to lie, this upcoming season already feels disappointing lore wise. After seeing the cutscene with Osiris confronting Rasputin I felt that this season was going to be amazing and that we would be diving deeper into Rasputin’s actions during The Collapse and where our relationship stands with the Warmind as the Darkness moves closer.

Instead we’re getting a scenario where the Cabal, a race we’ve practically beaten to a pulp, are sending the Almighty on a course to Earth. Literally no one saw this coming considering it has no correlation to the past seasons. Ever since Forsaken and Season of the Drifter specifically we’ve been preparing for the Darkness to return and every season up until now has done a very good job of developing this idea of what literally could be the end of humanity.

Maybe the upcoming lore books will be god tier and I’ll be proven wrong, but at this point who knows.
