Overwatch changes | Shino POV
No complains, I love the game and to play Widowmaker all the time - I never get bored - managed to reach mid. Diamond from Plat by solo picking Widow (mostly) last season and I confirmed the Diamond tonight with the placements - I am a very calm guy while playing FPS yet with radical opinions on videogames overall. What I've noticed in these last seasons I've been playing and what I'd like to suggest;
A) About competitive games, it comes natural to me to say we all should be forced to solo queue it in order to make the SR 'fair'; to avoid boosting and aka to force the players to communicate with the team in order to win those 'fair games'. Downside is it's going to kill the casual side - those who want to group up with friends - so it depends on how much the OW team wants to make competitive games 'serious'. I enjoy playing competitive games with my friends too but I do see I am doing it wrong, since I should go Quick Play for it. Mid-way I'd consider to split competitive games in solo queue mode and group mode. That also depends on the actual number of active players you guys have - we keep hearing about 40M players and well if even the 30% of those is actively playing the game it should make it worth then.
B) Matchmaking is - overall - really good. Mainly because it's -really- fast compared to other games. Still, we get games with 6 DPS mains who don't want to play support because they don't know how or simply don't want to. So, few hints (they're different situations from each other);
1st scenario) Add forced Lock Roles (2-2-2) for Diamond and lower elos - this means Master players cannot group up with Diamond (or elo below it) players. This is going to force people to play various heroes and different roles and to get an idea about the whole game, 25 levels in Quick Play don't really help and I'd leave QP for pure fun and grouping parties.
Downside: SSD players getting some advantage, I'd avoid a MMO queue by choosing a role before the queue itself, but again, if the active players are enough and make it worth, then sure go for it!
2nd scenario) Matckmaking is just going to peek all the heroes playtime per player in competitive mode after 20 or 30 games and tries to make a fair grouping with some DPS, tanks and support mains.
Downside: it doesn't force the teamwork spirit in low elos - which is key for a team-based online game.
C) Mercy rework - Now I know you guys already trying to 'fix it', but well, the Resurrection is actually really broken; I'd revert the Ress to be the new Mercy's Ult (up to 1 character only) and making the 'E' an ability which can cap a player's HP instantly every 15 seconds while letting Mercy still be very useful and more, raising the reward for those who actually have good aim and can perform headshots here and there - raising Widowmaker and Hanzo utility as well and finally killing the terrible low elo habit of people throwing the game because someone pick a sniper even before the game begins.
Ana needs a boost for sure too, but I'd just add the critical hits so pro players can play a really rewarding (and powerful) hero which can actually replace Mercy for good.
PS: I know the world moves around vanity nowday, but don't forget about those guys looking for unique gear/items; we had it in World of Warcraft (legendaries) at its golden time, we had it in other epic MMORPGs in the past, consider adding very unique items hero-specific for the elite/try hard community and those who have;
a) A large playtime with a specific hero b) 75 or higher winrate starting from 80-100 games per season with a specif hero
Doesn't matter if it's only glamour, just give us something we want but we can't get it unless we really try hard and give our best. For those few who can. I'd love to have it in-game even if I can't get it for myself. This is going to help people to try hard more in competitive once again like the first seasons.
Thanks for reading (? :D) this, Shino, just a player.

Widowmaker Guida in italiano (Pixel skipping/Input lag)
eDPI & Pixel skipping
Qualche esempio personale:
3200 eDPI: https://youtu.be/SSR_Vt5HGqY?t=81
3700 eDPI: https://go.twitch.tv/videos/182184438
4000 eDPI (footage intero): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CLux5ftJGU&t=
=============
Input Lag
Cosa fare?

BIO
Hello nerds. I'm a 30-year-old streamer and visual designer living in Naples, Italy. I graduated in Graphic-, Web- and Communication Design at the 'ILAS' in 2009 and I'm currently working as freelancer.
I've started to stream a couple of years ago and since a while, I’m getting a decent schedule for my streams. t’s been a while since I started my first MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI, in March 2003, which I quit when FFXIV 1.0 came out in September 2010: Seven years of unforgettable memories I'll keep with me forever.
I am playing ‘Widowmaker’ as my main on Overwatch everyday, but I'll also stream other games. I am now part of the AETERNUM <AT> FC and leader of Life in Ivalice-sale LS.
Xenogears, FF9, FF11, FF12, FFT, CHRONO TRIGGER, the Dragon Age saga, the The Witcher saga and wipEout are my most favourite videogames of all time.
Hope you'll enjoy the streams!
