It was a dream—it had to be. A month had passed since the Turks’ helicopter had landed on site, finding the remnants of what the Shin-Ra army had done. Zack…Cissnei had hardly been able to keep herself together; he was smiling, but-Naturally, she wanted to hate Shin-Ra, she wanted to revolt and curse their name. But her loyalty to the only family she’d known had crushed the pain in her heart and buried it somewhere deep, somewhere she was sure it would never become a threat to the company or to herself.At some point she had written a letter—closure, that’s what she needed. Afterall, she’d never even been able to tell him her real name. There was so much Zack would never know about her, even though it felt like she knew everything about him. It was felt… unfair.After sealing the letter, she had placed it on a small table beneath the window where it had unfortunately been carried off by a faulty window latch and a heavy breeze.But now—with blue eyes that could challenge the ocean—he lingered at the foot of her bed, smiling. Smiling like he had never left her; like he was still.. here. But- ..he wasn’t. She had watched them carry the body to the helicopter, had clenched her first when Tseng insisted they burn it—he would never have a proper burial.
