Been stuck on the implications of the faygo bottle for a while now, one of which was this line that suggested Gamzee only gave it to him on occasion. Anyway, turns out that if you internally repeat the phrase 'my uncle gives it to me sometimes, my mother strictly forbids it, of course' enough times for it to detach from the context becomes pretty obvious what the joke is
