I rag on persona 5 occasionally but I’m very glad it allowed the characters who were survivors of abuse to respond to that abuse as they saw fit.

Haru isn’t shamed by the narrative for wanting to forgive her father, for still loving him even if she condemns his actions.

Ryuji and Ann are allowed to despise Kamoshida with every fibre of their being and that’s okay!

Yusuke has a whole arc about complicated feelings towards Madarame and in the end doesn’t even reach a solid conclusion and that’s seen is okay!

I’m just,,,very glad the narrative allows that 😄
