this disability pride month I’d like to spread the gospel of the shower chair. I’m not disabled but my father is, and when I first started visiting him from out of town I’d move his chair in and out of the tub as I showered until one day I said fuck it and kept it in.

I was called a racist off-anon, but I'm going to be a better person than them and not put that screenshot up- I already deleted their ask and blocked them. I have no intentions of interacting with them directly.

It was someone that had been bombing my inbox for months. I calmly told everyone AGES ago that I could no longer keep up with the messages, and to forgive me for being unable to continue as I no longer had any extra spending money from my private student loans. The rest of those loans went towards taking care of my mother as I used that money for our groceries. She recently just got out of an abusive work situation, and my family- especially the woman that birthed me- is my priority. Even if the moon were falling to the Earth; my mother matters to me more.

I was in the middle of an extremely stressful point in my life that demanded most of my attention, and it seemed like it died down until recently.

But because I'm no longer in college, suddenly everyone thinks I have free time and money again and went right back to blowing up my inbox.

I have neither.

I'm broke, tired and I just want to be allowed to be broke and tired.

Hmmm... Got called racist because I'm unable to donate to someone's campaign. So apparently it's racist to be broke and have no fucking money??? Do some of you just see that I live in America and are like

"Ah, everyone has money there" no, no we do not.

First; we are in the middle of a food and housing crisis in my area.

Second; we are also in the middle of an unemployment crisis. I have put in 18 different job apps and I either get turned away because I'm transgender or because I'm "overqualified." I have run out of job options within my area; America is a car-centric country. If you don't own a car you can't go anywhere.

Third... This is all the money I have for food for the next two weeks... Which WON'T cover very much in the US with the tariffs on our food.

STOP ASKING ME FOR MONEY.

And if you ask me for what I have left, you're just as much of a monster you claim *me* to be. I'm done giving people the shirt off my back when NOBODY will ever do that for me.

I've already donated so much, but now that I can't I'm suddenly a terrible person.

Ideally one of the recurring traits that the doctor should carry with them is that he's a little scary. Not even necessarily violently scary, just very weird.
