Since i saw someone bring it up for other NPCs, any thoughts on the idea of gas station linked episodes?

I hope it's a social link and not a link episode.

I mean, there was some changes to the plot if you completed a link episode? I guess? -trying to remember-

-shakes head- Eh, whatever. I'd prefer a legit SL for Gas Station. And I'd hope it falls in line with one of P4's strengths, aka choices mattering and both expanding on existing endings and giving us a new ending.

As for link eps? -thinking- I think that would be a great opportunity to dive more into cute investigation adventures. Like "case files" (from Raidou 2?) and such. Give the Investigation team more stuff to investigate. Give it more of a Yuuyami Doori Tankentai feel to it. (one of the reasons I love Naoto's SL so much is because we are investigating something. That and how we have to go around and talk to NPCs to get clues to go into the dungeon).

P4 is a "small town mystery" and I think it should fully lean into the strengths of that genre. (I'm a very big fan of the genre *w* so I'm allllllllll ready for it!)

Ngl this is the most positive thought I've seen of the P4R stuff since everybody else is talking bout how ugly and cheap it looks, how it's likely gonna be a rushed reskin of P3R, and how there's still no tidbits about P6 when it's almost a decade since P5 (Also likely no P1 or P2 remakes since they can't be copied like P4 can)

Yeah it looks too early to tell. It doesn't have a release date yet, right? So I think it's MUCH earlier along than P3R was. Which I'm taking as a good sign (at least there's a chance stuff will change, compared to P3R being like....close to the end of their development >_> when we had no chance)

I am pissed P6 is dragging it's feet. If they needed to reskin P5 I would've taken that. They did the same going from IS to EP and P3 to P4 and it wasn't bad??? (or how we got SO MANY PS2 era titles because of them reusing assets TT0TT) Sigh. It's whatever TT0TT

P4 it def looks like they are taking assets from P3R, so that's a good sign as to why it's being pushed out faster than say P6 or P1/2. Hopefully they can fix the graphics (similar to how P4D got overhauled).

I'll stay "optimistic" for now. At the the environments are a vibe. Maybe not a Persona/P4 vibe, but a vibe nonetheless.

You say gay options would make shipping culture worse but consider:

P4R makes the older women romanceable like in P5

Tbf I've been cultivating my own corner of the fandom so I've been outside a lot of the controversies and ship wars, but the Yosuke ship left a bad taste in my mouth with past behavior. And I'm not sure if it'd be like.... The Goro ship where they're like "ours is better because blah blah we have this content" which is really just.....annoying and does not endear me to the ship TT0TT Maybe it's changed, maybe not, I don't really wanna see it tho.

(aka, nothing is stopping people from shipping what they want, but I fear the entitlement that would make things worse in the fandom if Yosuke got a romance... Tbh the entitlement is probs one of the reasons I don't ship certain ships with P4, even tho they're more "popular" fjdklsajf The shipping culture went through a big shift in like 2012/2014ish eras and yeah...)

Even then, the only bad thing would be the fans. I would probably filter out all the grifter "it's too woke" hate. I don't think it'd gain as much traction. I dunno why, it's just a feeling.

Now I did consider that as an option, because it'd be horrible :'D

But I don't...think it'd mess with fandom shipping culture. It would really fuck up the text tho.

Like I said, nothing's stopping people from shipping or lusting after certain characters. But the only viable option would be Sayako, and even then that'll fuck up her entire story. TT0TT (I don't even wanna think about the old lady and the married mom O_O that's an even worse can of worms)

Tldr; Not the way I phrased the gay shipping (only one I'm not down for is a Yosuke romance, but if it happens in the remake then it happens it's whatever). I don't think adult options will mess with the fandom shipping culture in particular, but it'll fuck up narrative so I DO NOT want that above all else. Aka I'd easily take gay romances over romances with adults TT0TT Duh!

P4 Remake~ uwu

I was upset for like... 2.5 seconds that it was called "Revival" but then realized it still had a TV theme (guess it means something different between English and Japan tho sjdkfjsa but both still have a TV Connotation). It's just not the most obvious one. jdskflajl Seems to have some connection to Jung's terms.

But what I'm hoping for is that it's ALSO playing with reviving something/someone ("Oh but that happens in the game already-" Yes....obviously....I'm hoping for something new (I know it technically happened 2-3 times in P4/P4G, those aren't what I mean). TT0TT Sorry someone wanted to get smart with me on Twitter >_>). What I mean is, I hope it's tying back to SMT aka "Reincarnation True Goddess".

Aka, "Reviving Izanami".... Ah-ah. Don't say Marie. Shhh shhh. I mean what if we see Gas Station Izanami route? :3c (or even better, retcon it so that Marie can be her own person again and is just some other god and go back to Iza being her own thing???? TT0TT)

Even if the latter doesn't happen, so far it's still a the best R name, way better than Reload or Royal TT0TT So that makes me happy.

Oh. Right, negativity. Looks very early, hope a lot changes. The environment seems pretty (if not super bright), but the shadows and looks of MC looked pretty bad. Hopefully they pull a P4D and overhaul it. At least, SO FAR, it looks like it's doing its own thing and not copying P5's aesthetics (P3R had too many of P5's fingerprints on it). I mean I can't say it screams P4, but I'll take it. 8U

I think Not!Lucifer is very hot, and I think it was very sexy of him to kill a king. Interested to know more about his character. He a bad guy, or maybe an anti hero? I think he has a lot of potential to be a complex character (esp if they appear bad but are actually not that different from the hero and have good points too).

But that's all. OH! Wait. I liked how the world was treating the MC a lot. I thought the discrimination was a much better version compared to P5. While P5 was only situational (can easily get jobs and his record doesn't seem to hinder him THAT much in the grand scheme of things imo) and plot convenient. I never felt oppressed playing P5, but I can feel it with ReFan (at least in the atmosphere).

Combat wise? I don't think Ig got that far to get into the meat of it. It seemed fine enough tho. u_u

Idrc about shipping the MC with Kanji (I care not for shipping this boy tbh, but I'm not against it per se). I DO like shipping with him and Teddie.

Tbh the biggest mlm ship I have for P4MC is with Sho or P3MC (after that it might be Teddie). And neither chars are in this game so. TT0TT (tbh outside the 3 I just listed for the MC, the only other gay ship in P4 I care about is RiNao and MCRiNao)

So to me it's "I can hit the button, make some people happy and ignore those who are unhappy... BUT I think the shipping culture is gonna get even more ASS than it already is and do I want that?" (no I don't want that) vs "Shipping culture is less ass, and I guess it's one less thing for people to bitch about, tho the latter I'd just ignore the bigots tbh"

Depends on the day I guess. Some days I just do not like that ship and would not push the button. Otherwise I'd be pushing it for other people's happiness. (If I could make it so Yosuke isn't included, I'd hit the button tho).
