It's roughly about Tobirama sealing his soul into a sword before his death. The sword containing his soul then falls into a rift to another world. This world is an illusionary realm where one can return to the past, and the same scenes are replayed again and again. Every soul lost in this strange land strives to prevent tragedy from happening again. Tobirama's sword shatters in this world, causing him to lose some memories as he wanders this realm.
and some handsome tobirama↓😉

Team Satisfaction/Enforcer Era
I need more Enforcers/Team Satisfaction content. Because. Come on, teenagers deciding that they’re going to be Crime Lords is a hilarious concept that the Satellite boys managed to actually achieve? And honestly I just need to know the logistics of what went on here after they beat the other Duel gangs (another hilarious concept if you think about it, we rule our territory because we can outduel you and the violence that we inflict upon you is minimum but don’t try us because we can and will beat you in a strategy card game) because like. Are the boys now in charge of making sure others don’t encroach on their territory? Besides the four of them are there other members? Do they have underlings? Whats keeping the other duel gangs from gathering and staging an uprising against the boys?
Honestly, I like to imagine that this is when Crow’s adoption problem began cropping up, like. The team suddenly (presumably) have more resources now, there is an all time low in duel violence and alongside it less time that the boys have to focus on taking down other gangs. So, Crow suddenly has all this time on his hands, and sure he still does an occasional job for the team but it’s not like before. So. Adoption, Crow sees a kid and whoops he’s imprinted and there’s no take backs and before he knows it he has a whole collection and he now has to be Responsible and make sure these kids survive. He takes a look at these kids (he’s got about 5 before he realizes he might have a Problem) before he caves and goes looking for Yusei.
He would have gone to Martha but he doesn’t want to risk the chance of their enemies to track their connection to her, and on top of that he knows she’s swamped running the orphanage as it is, he doesn’t want to bring more trouble to her when she’s already struggling.
Yusei is the next best option, he won’t be overly dramatic like Jack would be and Kalin/Kiryu has been a bit on edge recently and Crow really doesn’t want to be the one to test the waters.
Yusei takes one look at the kids Crow has and caves instantly, helps him find a structurally sound building, does some basic maintenance so the kids can have at least one bathroom with running water and rigs it so that they can get electricity (which takes a while, so Yusei ends up Bonding and now he’s even more invested) and promises to keep quiet about the situation to Crow.
Crow’s adoption problem stays a secret between Yusei and Crow for the entirety that Team stays together, and when they fall apart Crow throws all his attention to the kids. It’s not until Jack and Yusei come back to find him to ask for his help to stop Kalin/Kiryu that Jack finds out.
Jack is actually kind of hurt that Crow didn’t tell him, and would have confronted Crow about it if they weren’t in an already high-stakes situation. After the confrontation, after the final breakup of the Team does Jack make a bit of a snide comment and leaves before Crow can really try to explain. A tie temporarily severed that never quite gets healed before Jack goes off to Neo Domino.
#yugioh 5ds#yusei fudo#jack atlas#crow hogan#my writing#just rambling#this post got so out of hand#I wanted to ramble about the possible power dynamics of their team after they start to rise to the top#but instead we got Crow's adoption issues#listen. Crow is basically Batman without the billionare part#idk there might be more rambles at some point

This.
Just the boys clearly don't know how to open up unless it's relevant to the plot and I have Feelings about it. Because think about it, these boys were raised in the Satellite, where everything and anything they did could be taken advantage of by others. We learn that Satellite is not a particularly nice place because everyone is fighting for scraps to survive. The boys see their trauma as something that others could use as leverage against them, and even opening to others outside of their circle just doesn't occur to them. Not because they don't trust them, but doing so before could have led to being manipulated.
It's crazy to me low little we know about the Satellite bois in the beginning of the show. We really don't drop the fact that Yusei was part of a gang that took over the entire city until Kalin pops up and forces him to talk about it. We know there's history between Yusei and Jack, but we don't learn the whole story of Jack leaving until near the end of the fortune cup. And even then we don't mention 'oh btw they're not just childhood friends, they literally grew up in the same house raised by the same mother' until???? I think even several episodes after that? Crow doesn't show up until episode 31.
Every other member of the cast we learn what their deal is almost immediately. Meanwhile Yusei is like "No I don't think that time I watched my best friend try to beat someone's head in with a 2 by 4 was a particularly traumatic event that affected who I am as a person. Why do you ask?"

Disjointed Team Satisfaction/The Enforcers Thoughts
Can we talk about how Team Satisfaction/The Enforcers became Kings of the Satellite as teenagers? Because I genuinely think this does not get brought up enough, these are kids beating up other gangs (okay yes with dueling but I refuse to believe that there wasn’t occasional brawls alright) and taking over their territory. Understandably, this is already incredibly badass of them, made even better when you take into account that this was orchestrated a bit on a whim? Like Kalin/Kiryu really said “Guys let’s take over the entire island so we can have peace” and Jack, Yusei, and Crow hardly hesitated before following him.
Also, the dynamics here are kind of interesting? Kiryu/Kalin is undoubtedly the leader, something of a dreamer and charismatic enough that the other three believed in the future he was painting for him. Promising safety and comfort, and wanting it for everybody on the island is a bold promise and something that would be enticing for three orphans who grew up semi-safe with Martha but who were scarred all the same by their environment. (I also have feelings for how Kiryu/Kalin always had a bit of a maniac edge to him but how it was blunted by his ideals and it wasn’t until there was nothing left to fight that this side of him was viewed badly but that’s probably a different post)
Yusei was their support, or maybe something of a right hand man, able to build the gadgets that made their team so terrifying. Explosives (remember that wall that they used for their grand entrance?), those expendable handcuffs (and the resulting shock that would effectively shortcircuit the loser’s duel disk), and most likely the duel disks themselves. Yusei, being who he is, probably wanted to achieve Kiryu/Kalin’s dream so badly, aching to give not only his friends but everyone on Satellite a safe environment to live. Although he later gets a bit disillusioned with Kiryu/Kalin he can’t bring himself to abandon his friend and ultimately the dream that he represents until it truly goes too far and Yusei is forced to confront the reality of the situation.
Jack is something of an ace, or perhaps something of a left hand man? He’s shrewd, somewhat machiavellian in his thinking and I feel like he was an important voice when the others got too emotional. HOWEVER, I feel like the other gangs probably pegged him as simply the muscle at first, especially since he’s something of a showman on top of him just being his usual dramatic self which honestly he might have used to his advantage. Jack is one of those characters who’s incredibly nuanced but likes to hide it behind a big ego and bigger dramatics so no one can call him out on his feelings, which is honestly why as this is the era I feel like Jack was constantly in Big Brother mode. Feeling like he needs to protect Yusei and Crow while also striving to enforce peace across Satellite, while simultaneously getting disillusioned with the ideal the longer it goes on.
Crow is a jack of all trades kind of deal, most likely being used as a decoy being the youngest and (physically) less intimidating than the others, which causes him to be underestimated. He’s got sticky hands, and him being a thief goes hand in hand with being sneaky, which probably allowed him to scout out other gang’s territories and gather information. Crow can be flashy when he needs to be (as evidenced when he was a distraction for the magician? gang) but he’s at his strongest when he has people to protect. Which is probably why he stuck around so long with the Enforcers, they were eliminating the more violent gangs and allowing regular citizens to have one less worry of being brutalized, however once they achieved their goal they had no resources or means to make the island better. So Crow cut his losses and found ways that he could be helpful, which included fostering orphans and emulating Martha with his own limited resources.
Honestly this era is so interesting, because I just want to know how they met Kiryu/Kalin and the timeline for their takeover and what happened after their last disbanding. Because, they honestly should have had more influence within Satellite if they were once gang leaders who took over the island. I can understand how citizens in Neo Domino wouldn’t know/care about their status but in Satellite they should have at least still have some kind of leeway to how things were done. Further, how did Security not know who Yusei, Crow and Jack were if they were cleaning out the gangs for them? Jack at least should have been getting more side-eye from the officers for suddenly turning up and becoming King when they should have a file on him. Crow, as well should have some kind of warrant out for him if he’s been regularly stealing from officers after his multiple stints in the facility not to mention the rap sheet Yusei alone should have under his name.
