Henri what did you do? Did you fish in a military area? Do we even have a military area in Champs Les Sims? Perhaps it’s simply a training exercise for James?

Claudine and Yves are tying the knot. And when they get to the nectary there’s Champ Les Sims newest resident. Simon is a bit (okay quite a lot) crazy.

The whole town showed up to witness their Doctor getting hitched

They do make a cute couple, don’t they?

While his little sister takes care of the animals and his mother has a shop full of customers Francois has an important appointment he simply can’t miss. A quick stop at the gas station and then he’s on his way to his Margeaux’s apartment.
In the evening Therese can’t even concentrate on her knitting as she impatiently waits for Francois to come home. With every loop that slips from her needles her temper gets worse. This’ll be a lecture he won’t forget any time soon.

After Claudine moved in with fiancé Yves, he thought they’d start planning their wedding, but she took one look around the house and went directly to the general store to get started on a nursery.

WIP decorating the Auberge au Lion d’Or by @franglishetchocolat Not quite sure if I went too fancy for such a small village. But my Major, Doctor and Teacher are getting quite rich and I need somewhere to spend their hard earned cash.

Dear @franglishetchocolat ,
We can’t thank you eneough for your generous donation to the town library. Thanks to you we could renovate, add a second story and hire a new librarian. As you can see in the enclosed photographs the whole village from young to old enjoys the quiet atmosphere.
We will keep you updated on your investment in the auberge. Renovations of the ground floor and basement are mostly finished. We should be able to send you pictures in a day or two.
Best Regards,
Jaques Fevere
Major of Champs les Sims

He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me…
Margaux has fallen head over heals for Francois. Picking flower petals, trying to impress him with her (nonexistent) fighting powers… At first he seems more interested in dumpster diving than romance. But after both of them washed the stink off, he enjoys watching the stars with her.

A lovely summer’s day in the Durant household. And I love the relaxing knitting time in the evening. Estelle on the other hand looks like she’s not so sure about that being relaxing. Thank you @zoeoe-sims for the knitting mod

Well that relationship turned sour quickly. Manon went over to Florimond’s to give him a kiss. She did, then she insulted him and finally started a fist fight. And got her butt kicked. Needless to say, he’s no longer her boyfriend.
I didn’t even get to really see them as a couple. Just remember thinking “I didn’t make her a gold digger, did I?” When I got the pop up that (Young Adult) Manon got together with (Elder) Florimond. She’s not a gold digger, just inappropriate. Which explains why she has that many romantic interests as well as enemies.

Claudine snapped up the Doctor, while I was playing Margeaux. Very quickly the notifications went from they’re a thing to oops pregnancy to engaged. And when I switched to Claudine’s household there was a Bachelorette party already planned.
And what a hen party it was quirky dresses, flowing champagne and a party dancer Claudine wanted all to herself in their bedroom.

Poor Damien… having your teacher smustle dance in your living room wearing only her bathing suit is not something you want to see. The dress code for the party was actually swimwear. Margeaux was just the only one to follow through.

I’m finally back to playing the Sims. Well I’ve been playing for a month or two, but despite taking many many pictures I just didn’t post any… sorry.
Champs Les Sims still doesn’t have a priest, but Margeaux has so much practice lecturing the kids she decided to give the Sunday lecture at Church. Jaques the Major would rather have all the attention himself and made everyone listen to his first time playing the organ. Yves and Francois look like they want to forcefully remove him from there. Thankfully there were no physical altercations in Church.

Laurent does not look very happy, Talking to Estelle this morning. But it can’t be worry about the business. Claudine and Lucette seem to be almost fighting over the first Asparagus and Spring Onion.

Although I don’t know, why of all villagers those two. Neither of them knows how to cook.

„Really? You can cook this fish? I would have put it in an aquarium „

I really want to know what the heck Laurent and Estelle talked about this morning. He only stops frowning for his sales pitches and not even a stroll with Julien on this beautiful spring day can bring a smile to Estelles face.

The Poirier family doesn’t let anything come between them and their bikes. Ice cold and heaps of snow? Let‘s go on a bike trip, it’ll get your blood pumping and warm you up.

Playing in Vintage Camps Les Sims by the lovely @franglishetchocolat I downloaded all the lots she offers for his world and was heavily inspired by / copied from her videos. Mostly I took the size of the family, ages, genders and occupations she had in her videos and made my own Sims to fit. I chose one defining trait (for example Manon the Repairwoman has to be Handy, Donatelle the Daycare owner has to be nurturing, etc) and randomized all traits until that was one of them. The other traits I had to keep. The kids traits are completely random.
I run the businesses with Ani‘s Savvier seller mod, her Shop from inventory and Produce stand. All found at NRAAS. Speaking of Ani, I use almost all of her mods (and most others) from NRAAS and many from her tumbler @anitmb Her videos are great and gave me many ideas for my own gameplay.
While all the home businesses have Inges OFB Ticket machine, I don’t use it very often.
I‘m not really doing a rotational play. I switch households after a few hours or a few days, if I see somebody around town, storyprogression tells me something interesting, or the town‘s out of lettuce again and I have to play the farmer to get his lazy butt in gear to harvest more veggies. If it’s not winter, then it’s the farmer’s wife who has to get working making more canned goods. With extremely long lifespans and relativity set up so time runs 50% slower I can jump around households as I like without missing anything important.
Decorating the amazing builds from franglishetchocolat is so much fun. I use around 99% custom content and 1% maxis. simmingallovertheplaceccfinds is where you can find some of the cc I use, like, would like to use, thought looks interesting... sorry there’s no order or tags. Aroundthesims3 is one of the best sites for cc that is not only pretty, but also functional. Love the Bord games, all the toddler stuff, the community objects, edibles, instruments and I could go on and on.
One of my most used mods is icarus_allsorts Transmogrifier (aka Object Script Changer) A laundry bin in almost every room looks much better, when it‘s a bag, cute wicker basket, or endtable with drawers. The pretty cc bikes want to be Mountainbikes too. And stopping Route fail tantrums by making a functional object I used only for aesthetics a decorative object really helps. „Yes I know you can‘t reach that baseball up on the shelf. You‘re not supposed to use it. It’s there to look at not play with.“

Champs Les Sims is slowly growing into a proper little village. Donatienne opened a preschool/kindergarten.
Her kids Enora and Damien try out the playroom, while Donatienne does the necessary shopping.
