the text, the invitation, the location — it all feels like the setup to a super cliché horror movie. but soren still goes because he doesn’t have any other choice. however, what he doesn’t expect is for someone else to show up. so, when he hears simon’s voice, he takes the opportunity to have a little fun with their predicament. who would he be if he let such a moment pass him by? pressing his body against the wall next to the doors, he practically stops breathing and waits patiently for the other to fully enter. his heart is beating so wildly in his chest though that he wonders whether the other can hear it. he doesn’t need to wonder long, swallowing the nervous lump of anticipation in his throat, as simon steps through. “boo!” he yells, jumping out and grabbing onto the boy’s shoulders.

As if it was reflex, Simon’s arm moved up behind him. First, his elbow hitting the stranger’s chin before hitting him clear in the face with his hand knuckle-white in the fist. Turning himself around to find out the stranger wasn’t a threat but rather a friend, Soren. “Jesus Christ...” He spoke, scared shitless, “You can’t just like... do that to someone?”

☁  five times my muse has thought about yours, and the one time they do something about it.

the first time is when he’s passing by a toy shop and sees a stuffed elephant in the window. but he continues on, smiling to himself. 

the second time is when he’s at an art show, waiting for her to show up, and there is a painting that looks just like her (at least to him) and he smiles to himself again. 

the third time is when he’s eating his father’s rather burnt apple crisp (he still doesn’t know how his father managed that). knowing how she loves apples. 

the fourth time is when he’s procrastinating on homework and doodling on his project proposal. she’d like his doodle.

the fifth time is when they were watching phantom of the opera, her favourite movie,  in his critical media class. he was going to snapchat her a picture, but decided he should focus on the movie instead. 

the time he does something about it is when she hadn’t contacted him in a day or two. he was worried, taking the time to knock on her door softly and check up on her. chicken soup in hand just in case she was sick, the elephant stuffie he went back to get and phantom of the opera that he got off of amazon in the other.
