Hard at work on building custom templates for the site!

This type of situation is why feel like a dedicated Sims 3 social sharing site would be beneficial. I'm so sick and tired of social platforms mindlessly policing content.

That moment when you discover how to do something new and start looking for more stuff to edit… This time it’s the decorative barrels from WA, which are now usable as nectar racks! I changed the script class to that of the expensive rack, so the barrels should offer the same perks as it.
+ Requires World Adventures! + Default replacement only. + Found under Storage \ Misc. + You will have to replace existing barrels for them to work as nectar racks, otherwise they’ll be decor-only.

Sims 3 social site?
Hi again...
I need y’all’s feedback on an idea I’m having.
While I was working on the site this evening, I had the idea of perhaps making it more than just a link directory. What if it was also a fully-featured social networking site dedicated solely to Sims 3 players and creators? I’m talking advanced profiles, friends / following, groups (public and private), wall feed... the whole shebang. Is that something you’d be interested in? Would you consider using something like that? What else should I consider? Before I invest the time and (yes...) money in building something like this, I need to know if it’s something that people would want and use. Note that it would only be browser-based; I’m not an app developer and would not be able to build a standalone mobile app like Tumblr / Facebook / Twitter, etc. But the website will of course be designed for mobile use.
Please reblog and let me know in the comments if you would like to see something like this and any initial suggestions you have!

Website Update: 9/20/20
Welcome! If you’re here, you’re probably wondering what Sims3CCWarehouse is... well, it’s a website I’m building that will host links to Sims 3 custom content from any corner of the web, and allow the links to be organized and categorized in a multitude of ways. I’m basically trying to build the Amazon.com of Sims 3 CC. With your help by submitting links, it will be the answer to every WCIF question, ever, lol. (I have big aspirations :P) Users will be able to quickly and easily add links to the site to share with others, as well as add links to their favorites in order to build a library of favorite CC from around the web. Note that no custom content or mods will be hosted on this site - it will be a link directory and tool to categorize and tag CC to help YOU find what you’re looking for quickly and easily, or allow you to discover CC you didn’t even know existed!
And creators do NOT need to worry - the links will point to the post or page where the content was originally shared, not to the direct download link (unless no other option is available) Creators will be given full credit for their creations on the site, and all link submissions will be moderated and approved. Creators will be welcome and encouraged to post links to their own content on the site, which will help drive traffic to your site or blog and help new players discover your content! The idea was born from my eternal frustration at having to spend so many hours combing the dusty corners of the internet looking for CC. There is SO MUCH great stuff out there that’s not on the major download sites, but finding it is a challenge. And while “CC Finds” pages on Tumblr are great, you can’t search or filter for what you’re looking for. It’s all just so grossly inefficient, lol.
Current Status
I’m building the site using self-hosted Wordpress. Originally I was using a fairly comprehensive Classifieds / Directory plugin for the content framework and had the site ready to start accepting link listings; however, I quickly realized that the plugin’s limitations in regard to categorization and tagging were going to severely limit the site’s capabilities. So, instead, I’m building a custom framework for the content that will enable practically endless capabilities... pretty much anything I want to do, I’ll be able to... it will just take a little bit longer to implement than I originally planned. But I’d rather do it the right way now then move forward knowing the limitations and then have to redo the site later. I’ve made the following Custom Post Types, which serve as the top-level categories for content (I’m calling them “Departments”), which I feel cover the breadth of content available for Sims 3 (if you feel like I’ve missed anything, please feel free to offer suggestions!)
Mods
Careers
Objects (any type of object or item in the catalog)
Patterns
CAS Items (anything related to making sims or pets)
Poses (yes... you’ll be able to categorize and tag poses!)
Animations
Lots
Worlds
Sims
Programs (utilities like S3PE, S3OC, etc)
Tutorials
Each of these “departments” will have customized flat and hierarchical taxonomies to allow contextual categorization and tagging as needed, as well as a global tagging system for Creators.
I’ve got my work cut out for me, but I have some wonderful help and we’re making great progress! Stay tuned for more updates!
