Plans for 2021

Hi all! This crazy year is finally drawing to a close. A lot has happened on both a personal and global level.

Speaking on the small scale, I’m envisioning some changes for this blog going forward:

More events. Some of the most fun I’ve had has been when writing for events like my own Frisky February and Kinktober. I’ll be hosting another FF event (with all new prompts!), and have begun planning another similar challenge for myself come April.

More multi-chapter fics. A few months ago, I made this post with links to Spotify playlists detailing all of the “vibes” of the upcoming long fics I have outlines and notes planned for. These will take up the majority of my writing time, and at present I have 7 of these planned. I highly doubt I will complete them all this year.

Less requests. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the two changes above, I will have far less time to write for anything else. For this reason, I have made the decision to only open headcanon requests semiannually. There will be more on this later, but essentially twice a year I will open my inbox to headcanon requests for a week during which time everyone will be able to send in all the requests they want and fill my inbox. I’ll work on all the requests I receive as I have time over the span of six months until the next time I open headcanon requests.

This year, I really want to expand my creativity and work on developing my own ideas. I hope you all will come along with me through these changes, as we embark on this new writing journey together! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

This is a piece I commissioned from this queen of my OC Himari with Rin, and their last happy memory together. She captured it exactly as I had envisioned, and did such a wonderful, incredible job!!!

can i ask what made you want to do commissions? like is it just the money or...?

You can definitely ask!

I started doing them honestly because it gave me an avenue to explore topics and characters I’m not always comfortable writing for on a request basis. Things like non-con would get a little too heavy for me if I had people requesting them all the time, so putting them behind a paywall ensures that I don’t have as many.

My secondary reason is a little personal so I’m putting it beneath a read more.

Part of it is the extra money. It’s just a little, but every tip and commission I get goes into a special savings account that I affectionately refer to as my “adoption savings”. I’ve always wanted a kid of my own, but giving birth scares me and early this year I found out that it would be very dangerous for me to do so. There are so many children that need homes in the US, and I’d like to be able to give one a good home. But adoption is expensive and raising a child is expensive, and I’d be doing it all on my own. My job pays me well enough that I can support myself and put a little bit into savings each month, but not nearly enough for me to be able to adopt in 5-6 years (which is what I’m aiming for). So really, just any little extra money I can put into savings is a godsend, and I like being able to give something back to people that help support me.

i hate midsommar lol

I went in expecting it to be as good as Hereditary, especially with how hyped up it was, but I just ended up thinking it was too long and very heavy handed in a lot of places. Plus leg trauma is my one big turn off and there was some very explicit leg trauma lmao. I do think some of the visuals were great and that the actors all did a wonderful job though!

When I started this blog, I really didn’t actually thirst over slashers all that much. I really just wanted an avenue to do some character exploration, but somewhere along the way I got sucked in and now I’m in too deep and just want to be choked by a big murder man/woman/person.

(I’m going to get hated on for this) I thought Midsommar, The Lighthouse, and The Boy were all good but overrated. 

Certain movies in the horror genre that receive tons of acclaim and are wildly popular lean too far into the torture porn aspect and are frankly boring.

Quick Announcement

Hi all! I had hoped to have all raffle pieces and commissions posted by now, but I just received a promotion at work (yay!) and am in training for this new position while also working overtime to finish up the projects I had started in my old position. This has left me with virtually no time for writing (boo...). I have to thank all of my raffle winners and commissioners AGAIN for their infinite patience. I never expected for work to be this busy, and that’s my fault for not accounting for the demands of a big girl job. Things should slow down by the end of the week, and I should have a bunch of new content for you all after that!

I’m honestly not super familiar with the Big Bang Theory! But yes, I believe they do probably discuss flora quite a bit! I imagine they run into a lot of plants they’re unfamiliar with in the fog, whether its species that have gone extinct for us or ones not of our world entirely depends upon where in the Entity’s realm they wander.

When it was just the original four survivors, I imagine that Jake and Claudette were the most “adult” of the group. Dwight is... Dwight and Meg can be a bit of a risk taker and hot head at times.
