i don’t know how else to word this but sleep token doesn’t feel real. in the sense that when i listen to almost any other artist (there are very few outliers) it just feels like i’m listen to music ya know? but with sleep token it’s like i’m transported to a different realm of living. i don’t know if it’s the genre bending, vocab vessel uses, extensive lore or what but it doesn’t feel like just listening to music.

also the call backs to other songs, eras and albums is insane. it really brings the feeling of “this is an entire experience” to light. like euclid capping off tmbte and the whole trilogy with call backs to multiple songs just leaves me feeling full of emotion. what emotion that is, i don’t fucking know-except “wow, everything has come together to beautifully.”

even with past self on eia with “all up in a frenzy but not like before” - a call back to say that you will (one of my personal favs) just had me jaw dropped. like, this man is really and has really created a whole WORLD. teeth of god in infinite baths, when that was the tour name last year??

idk if any of this makes sense but this band is truly unlike anything i’ve listened to and experienced. the time and effort that this man has put into everything is just wow.

random but i just saw the minecraft movie. it was so bad it was good? idk i had fun. i honestly loved the design of the set and mobs!!! all the babies were so cute 😭 cringe but i was expecting nothing less. also hearing all the giggles from the little kids was honestly making me want to cry lolll they were having so much fun

he’s not mad at you

it’s a conversation at this point. he’s just processing his feelings and giving us the end result of what he made of it. laid it out bare, yes. broke his character, yes. but he’s not mad at any individual in particular

imo even thinking that he’s releasing a song cause he’s big mad :( about his fans :( is just feeling totally entitled as an individual

most of the reception i’ve seen is like everybody is just sad. just enjoy the song and process the talking points, think about what he’s talking of. if you’re feeling like it’s a jab at the fanbase what can you do to better the fanbase and the relationship between us and the band? reflecting on it is already enough

this level of fame and what people do is horrendous, yes. as i said, he’s talking about because he can and because his voice has a weight in the community and the industry. just channel this into change instead of wallowing

i just hate seeing people being sorry for a creator instead of praising his impeccable work that puts emphasis on real industry struggles

don’t be sad, people, enjoy the song, it’s fucking gorgeous.
