my guesses for which episode each screencap comes from: 1.) The Distance 2.) The App 3.) The Traffic 4.) The Assistant 5.) The Assistant 6.) The Assistant 7.) ?? The Cancellationgation or The Astrological 8.) THE PORTRAIT ?? (idk it looks like Tina's holding a paintbrush. or maybe it's The Homework, she wants help with art class) 9.) The Burger [predictions for "The Assistant" below]:

I'm guessing that the plot of "The Assistant" revolves around the fact that AI is misused, unethical, and has become over-relied on.

“The Web” proved that Nicole can be gullible/naive when it comes to technology, so that already makes her an easy target for the AI to latch on to. since Nicole is so overworked, she may also be easily convinced that the AI is just there to assist her throughout the day.

I'm unsure if the clip that I'm referring to is even from "The Assistant", but I'm speculating that it is. there is a clip in the new trailer where Nicole is using a motorized shopping cart in the supermarket. however, the cart is out of control and seems to be driving itself. albeit poorly, this may be the AI taking the task of assisting Nicole too far, especially with things that she personally doesn't need assistance with (i.e., walking).

the AI is trying to convince her that it can be relied upon and wants her to indulge in the idea of letting it take charge of her life so she can relax for once. but Nicole is a very restless person (as shown in "The Painting"), so she probably wouldn't be able to fully succumb to that.

the AI likely tries to keep Nicole further entranced through a VR headset that depicts some sort of virtual paradise. it just gives her a more fantastical view of the world that she's physically interacting with. basically trying to manipulate her into believing that the world is better with AI, while making it so she literally can't see the damage that it's causing Elmore.

back in Elmore, though, the AI still doesn't work properly (which wreaks havoc). and it's intentionally putting the Wattersons in danger so it can have Nicole all to itself.

I'm assuming Darwin is given his own space since the trailer shows that he and Gumball are so close that they're practically fusing together. maybe this will be the plot of the episode "The Distance".
