We hear a lot about Lucy sleepwalking because Dracula arrives and she's now sexually stirred and she totally seeks him carnally because she's Wanton for wanting to marry three men or whatever but in fact she is first reported sleepwalking while Dracula is countries away at sea, and it gets explained by Mina that she's had this condition ever since he was a child (and also her father had this condition), and that now because she's anxious about getting married it manifests in her sleep condition. It's also possible that because Mina is so anxious about Jonathan now that she got it's a suspicious letter on top of his long delay, it influences Lucy's "super-sensitive" nerves.

this is going to make me sound like a bitch but if a disabled person says “no thanks I don’t need your help, I’ve got this” maybe don’t continue to insist on helping them? many of us have accumulated various strategies for doing things ourselves and your “help” will probably just get in our way. especially if that help includes getting in our personal space/touching our aids/etc. please just leave us to it!

Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria is such a weird theory because it's like there's a very obvious explanation for why middle school kids who didn't have dysphoria before might suddenly have dysphoria. Like huh weird I wonder what very obvious and widely known change that could cause kids to suddenly become very uncomfortable in their gender or sexual identity starts in between the ages of 10 and 14. Guess we'll never know. Must be peer pressure to *checks notes* become the only gender minority in your whole school singling you out for harassment by your peers. Couldn't be puberty suddenly giving you new body parts/bodily functions that are wrong for you.

with love. you have to fact check shit. yes you. you still have to fact check shit. a lot of people are great at fact checking stuff they don’t want to be true, but somehow are still absolute ass at fact checking stuff that’s rhetorically convenient to them. even people my age, who I KNOW grew up doing internet/bibliography literacy workshops, and being warned not to believe anything that isn’t reliably sourced, people who DO harp on fact checking conservative output or whatever, are still kneejerk sharing unsourced shit that is partially or wholly untrue or misleading, because it suits whatever narrative they’re pursuing in that moment, without even a “take this with a grain of salt”. fact check!!!!!! look at the sources!!!!! yes it’s a drag!!! do it!!!!!
