shuake are such an intimate and sappy couple sometimes.

akechi is Very clingy, but he never wants to admit it and probably never will. ren is more openly clingy, acting on his intimate impulses to hold akechi whenever he can whilst akechi pretends not to enjoy it. they’re always touching one way or another, whether its ren resting his hand on akechis thigh whilst sitting side by side, always being as close to eachother as possible or rens casual touches to akechis shoulder when he speaks.

akechi is often the little spoon when cuddling because he struggles with initiating affection but they switch sometimes. they mostly fall asleep with ren holding akechi from behind. akechi likes getting his hair played with/brushed by ren before bed as it helps him sleep. he often struggles with nightmares, but so does ren, so they know exactly how to soothe eachother out of them.

they share clothes a Lot. despite having pretty different styles their wardrobe becomes one after moving in together. goro specifically has a habit of Only wearing ren’s shirts when he sleeps. bonus points if it’s the shirt he wore throughout the previous day.

i love their domestic fluff way too much

ahh thank you!! i have many shuake thoughts everyday so i have an abundance of snippets and drafts in my google docs so i will share at random.

i really really like post canon shuake (as i've posted about Many times), so i started writing about post canon akechi struggling with accepting that ren actually loves him, that he isn't secretly holding a grudge against him for everything that happened in the past and that he really does still love him despite it all.

i also like to think that ren is very subconsciously worried too that akechi is just going to Up and leave, that hes not real. i think they have a very Complicated and codependant realtionship still many years after canon.

been thinking about The Shuake House post canon. i feel like akechi cares more about the interior design and decoration whereas ren is happy anywhere as long as its with akechi (he literally slept on some crates in an attic for a year and some, he has no reason to complain about anything)

shuake shopping together for furniture… akechi doesn’t really know how to Ask for stuff since he never really was able to as a child, so he simply just points at what he likes and makes comments like, “that looks nice”, and ren understands. he goes back the next day and buys everything akechi even so much as touched

there’s just something so beautiful and intimate sharing a space together. something they could both call “Our Home”… existing in eachothers presence… housewarming parties… at some point their possessions just became eachothers. good god i have to go to bed

been having thoughts about shuake wedding... i wonder if akechi would be a little bit jealous and upset that he has no guests of his own to invite. ren has his family, the thieves, his confidants; but akechi has no one unique to invite, everything of his is ren's too

I really want Akechi's crush on Joker to be like, the most stereotypical teenage crush imaginable, he just can't feel normal around him, he hates the butterflies in his stomach, he hates how sweaty his hands get, he hates how he hangs onto Joker's every word when they talk... Like I just think it would be not just funny and cute, but it would further enhance that "emotional immaturity" aspect of him, that despite everything he's done and everything he's tangled into he's just a kid having a crush, possibly the first one in his life... 🥺
