Hi there, I’m Ella! Just that resident gal who’s obsessed with classic rock. The first thing you need to know about me is that I am a very big fan of the Beatles. Along with them, I also love other 50s to 80s music. Next, I am a reader and writer. My favorite genres are YA and contemporary (sometimes fantasy). I am a huge Marauders stan as well. My Wattpad handle is @beatlemaniaqueenie. Feel free to follow me on there :) Please don’t be afraid to ask me anything. Peace and love, my darlings!

I am literally horrible at remembering this blog exists
Hello my darlings, it’s homeofthebeatlepeople with a new username and URL <3 I keep forgetting to post on here so I’m sorry. I‘m kind of debating making this a random blog for all the nonsense I want to spew out aside from Beatles stuff, would you be okay with that?
Aside from being obsessed with music, I’m also a huge reader and yep the Marauders make about 30% of my daily thoughts. Headcanons about them and the Beatle bois will probably come soon if I ever remember to write them.
If you have headcanon or preference requests for those two fandoms, I’ll take them! If you want one for another fandom then just request it through the anon section so I can see if I know about them :)

Random Beatles facts I found subtly hilarious
After the song Blue Jay Way (written by George) was released, it led to multiple thefts of that street sign in the Hollywood Hills.
This is a common one, but the fact they started recording Hey Jude while Ringo was in the bathroom still sends me. Then the way he had to tiptoe back... just lmaooo
Another one about the soft drummer boy. In 1964, a BBC announcer named Roy Williams accidentally reported that Ringo got his toenails removed. Turned out it was "tonsils" and he either misread or mispronounced it.
The fifth Beatle title. So many people have different opinions on who the fifth Beatle is and it makes me laugh a bit. Some suggestions include: George Martin, Brian Epstein, Tony Sheridan, Eric Clapton, Jimmie Nicol, Mal Evans and Neil Aspinall. Take your pick, my darlings.
Exact quote from John: "There is no way the Beatles are going to sing for Mickey f*****g Mouse!" Guess the context.
Fans were so relentless in stealing the Penny Lane street signs that Liverpool resorted to painting the street name directly on buildings.
They once conceived an idea in which they would do a psychedelic movie adaptation of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy to be directed by the iconic Stanley Kubrick. The project never made any headway.

John Lennon's sideburns
*please do not proceed if you actually find them attractive because lighthearted put-downs are ahead*
@thatsixtiesgirl and I have been discussing this so hard and we have come to the conclusion that we REALLY don’t like John’s sideburns in early 1968 😀 We‘re John stans and usually find him attractive but this:

^ What was up with his facial hair 😭 I mean—

^ The look just really doesn’t suit him. If you actually are interested in knowing what we call the extremely specific vibes we get from him, well too bad.

^ And the fact one of our favorite John looks came after was hilarious. (Long hair without beard)

^ Intermission to point out how gorgeous Pattie is BUT STILL-

^ that is the only photo where we deem the sideburns remotely acceptable tbh. Jannez thinks it actually looks good there. I have my reservations.
Thank you for coming to our TED Talk. We apologize if you somehow do like his sideburns for some reason. You may present reasons through reblogging and comments.

John Lennon shooting How I Won The War, 1966
*Little warning about my blogging style: I attempt to be all serious and educational but I’ll always insert some stupid joke because I’m ✨unprofessional✨*
Are you a new Beatles fan wondering why there are a whole lot of photos of John looking like a soldier (or if you’re also a Harry Potter fan, James Potter?) Yes, he played a minor role as a soldier named Gripweed in the 1967 movie How I Won The War.

The shooting for this movie took place in Madrid, and it started taking place on September 19, 1966. It was while John was in Spain that he started writing and composing Strawberry Fields Forever.
” Dick Lester offered me the part in this movie, which gave me time to think without going home. We were in Almería, and it took me six weeks to write the song. I was writing it all the time I was making the film. And as anybody knows about film work, there’s a lot of hanging around.” - John Lennon, 1980, All We Are Saying, David Sheff

As you can see, John was starting to grow out the “Beatle haircut“ and his image was starting to shift from Beatlemania-era to the psychedelic Sgt. Pepper look.

Here’s John decked out in full gear for the scene where if you may know, he gets shot.

John [Lennon] and Michael Crawford. Michael was also an actor in the film as LT. Goodbody.
And for some reason, there are plenty of pictures of him with this lollipop.

I kind of wonder how that went. “Oi, Lennon’s eatin’ a pop. Let’s go take some pictures.”
On a serious note, the filming finished on November 6, 1966, and he was flown back to London from Madrid the next day. The film‘s release was delayed because of Richard Lester’s work on the film Petulia (1968). It finally premiered on October 18, 1967.
Credits for information and the quote: The Beatles Bible.

Hello, hello!
(Forget the fact the title was an unintentional reference.) Hi there, everyone! I’m Ella, a teen girl that still swoons over the Beatles even after more than fifty years of them being broken up 😀 As a little welcome post here, I’ll be sharing a little Beatle profile about me I’d love you guys to do too.
Favorite Beatle: Can’t choose, really! But it’s either George or John.
Favorite Beatle girl: Pattie or Cyn.
Favorite album: Help! or Rubber Soul.
Favorite songs: This changes all the time but right now I’m especially loving Something, I’ll Be Back, Girl, In My Life, Nowhere Man, For No One and Yes It Is.
Favorite covers they did: Take Good Care Of My Baby (sang by George) and Anna (sang by John)
Favorite Beatle movie: A Hard Day’s Night
Favorite thing about being a Beatles fan: The utter friendliness and warmth of the people I’ve met in this fandom.
Favorite era (in terms of looks and personalities): I can’t pick, but I’ll go with the moptop era and 1968.
Favorite era (in terms of music): I love the 1965 era with my whole heart because apparently this is the phase where they started to shift with their style in music, and I admire how “open” their lyrics were in that period.
Favorite solo career: George. But still I can’t pick between him and John because I am ✨indecisive✨
peace and love peace and love 🍒😎🦏☮️⭐️
