Hiiii welcome back, 🥐!! Aww, we've missed youuu! Oh! *Alice's ears perk up when a croissant appears in her hands. She stomps her feet excitedly and sniffs it, savoring her first smell of French pastry* Aaaaaghh it smells so GOOD!! Is there a specific way to eat it? .... Actually I'm just gonna go for it. I've been wishing for this forever!! *She takes a bite, eating half the croissant in one go. She melts, sighing happily at the buttery flavor. She talks with her mouth full, eating the second half too* Mmmmmm... Organic life is the best..~

*Omega and Sticks are now sitting together on top of a closed dumpster. Omega managed to avoid eating anything spoiled, thankfully. Sticks is holding his hand and muttering about how she hates being so loud in her new steam-powered robot body when a croissant appears in Omega's free hand. He stares at it for a moment, then looks at Sticks* ... This has not happened to me before.

Woah!! Well go on, rhino boy! Ya don't get chances like this every day as a robot, do ya?

Never. *He hesitates, then takes a bite* It's.... Incredible.

See? Now don't ya wish The Man woulda made shit like that for robots? This is what I'm sayin', Omega!! Why don't Robots have food?? It ain't just about power, it's the experience! Don't they know that??

*Omega takes another bite of his croissant and listens, admiring her as she rambles*

*Metal blinks with surprise as a croissant lands neatly on the counter next to where he's chopping basil leaves* Oh. 🥐? It has been a while since you've sent us gifts. Long time no see, my friend. *He picks it up, examining it* .... I have always been curious about these. *He takes a bite, chewing thoughtfully before turning to Amy* My love.

Hm? *Amy glances at him from where she's cooking*

Would you teach me to make these? *He lifts the croissant*

*Amy's eyes light up* Oh!! 🥐 is back?? Hiiii!! Long time no see!! Yeah, we can absolutely make those!! They can be a little tricky, but it's totally worth it~

Excellent. *He takes another bite* Mm. Thank you, 🥐.

Just realized none of the robots could eat the baguettes I sent them earlier. So... now that they're organic...

*450 baguettes fall from the sky and into the kitchen*

(also don't let knuckles know sage and camobot were eating his grapes)

*Metal jumps as 450 baguettes appear on the kitchen island before him. He stares up at the looming mound* ..... Amy. It is happening again.

Woah!! *Amy stares at the heap of bread* 🥖 is back! Oh oh baby try some!

.... Alright. *Metal carefully tears off a piece of bread and tries it. He tilts his head* It's ... Pleasant.

Mhm!! I like them with jam and cheese, too!

Fascinating.

*Sage and Camobot appear from the workshop, where they were snooping. Sage takes a baguette without asking and pulls it into two, giving one hand to Camo* Here. Bread. This has happened before, but we were unable to partake.

*Camobot takes a big bite* .... Camobot .. *its mouth is full* ... Camo enjoys bread.

*Sage nods and takes tiny bites of her half*

Camobot wants to .... To tell big sister.

Alice?

*Camo nods*

Let us bring her some. *She grabs a few loaves and runs off with Camobot right behind her*

Oh owie, poor Metal, I've accidentally onioned my eyes before too, not fun. 😅 Thank goodness your wife-oop, I mean girlfriend came to the rescue. 🤗 Gonna make any side dishes for the kids to try too? I think they've mostly been munching on easy to grab junk food besides the grapes so they could use a vegetable. 😅

*His ears prick when you call Amy his wife. He looks over at where she's happily working on the sauce while he prepares water to cook the noodles* ..... I want that to be her title in reference to me.. *He shakes his head, silently reminding himself to stay focused* You are correct. I need to learn more about the care and requirements for organic life forms if I'm ever to be a father to one. *He goes to the fridge and starts poking around* ..... I do not know how to prepare any of this.

Hm? Honey, what are you looking for?

Vegetables for the children.

*Amy beams. She loves how that sounds on his voice* Hehe~ Um.. I think if you just cut up some cucumbers and peppers into fun shapes, they should like that. Anything colorful or fun, they'll eat it right up.

Interesting. I am learning. *He grabs some veggies and washes them, then goes to chop them up on the cutting board. He pauses to kiss Amy on the cheek as he passes by her*

Aww hehe~ I love you, Metal. I love that we're doing this.

Wait metal is making lasagna. Isn't it his first time actually cooking something or did he cook something with Amy before? Don't want to doubt your skills but the first time I ever tried cooking alone I created a monstrosity.

I have assisted Amy in preparing food before, but never to this extent. She usually asks me to cut onions for her, so that is a step I am confident in. *He smiles as Camo and Sage start chasing each other around the kitchen island. He starts cutting an onion while the sauce heats on the stove. Unfortunately, he never realized the affect onions have on organic eyes. He blinks hard as his eyes start stinging and watering. He sets down his knife* Agh.. There is a malfunction in my eyes. *He does the worst thing possible and rubs his eyes with his onion-coated hands, making them sting worse* What is this? Why am I crying..?? AMY!!

Metal?! *Amy runs into the kitchen. She was playing dress-up with Rouge and Alice. She's in a pink frilly dress that looks a bit awkward on her metallic frame, but suits her well regardless. She hurries over to Metal and touches his arm* Sweetheart, what's wrong??

I.. Do not know! I am crying, and my eyes hurt. I do not understand why. There was no event that caused it.

Ohh.. *Amy looks at the half-diced onion on the counter. She can't help but giggle* Ohohoh, babyyy~ *She gets a washcloth and soaks it in water, then helps him press it to his eyes*

Why do you laugh..?

It's just the onion, silly~ They do that.

What..??

When you cut an onion, it releases fumes that make your eyes water. That's why I ask you to cut them for me, because I know it won't hurt you. Oh honey, I'm so sorry, aww~ *She hugs him as he presses the damp cloth to his eyes*

*Metal sniffles and leans into her hug* ... I am not broken..?

Not at all, sweetie. I'll help you. What are you making?

Lasagna. For the children.

*Amy goes quiet, but her fans kick into high mode as his phrasing. She hugs him a bit closer* .... Oh..~ Let's get cooking then. *She nuzzles his cheek with hers, then goes to get an apron*

Oh I thought you didn't get to really see what you were looking at before because you were just relaying camera feed. You must have snuck a peek here and there though, huh? Did you get in trouble for doing that? I'm glad you get to just do what you want now Camo! And yes, you are adorable! 💕✨🤗

Y... Yes. Camobot got in trouble for .... For looking. Camobot only l...listened after. Camo only saw a little bit.. a meal. *Camobot is following Metal around as he gathers ingredients from a recipe in Amy's cookbook drawer. There wasn't any lasagna to reheat, so he decided to make some from scratch. Camo holds onto the fabric of Metal's pants as he begins to make the sauce*

Uhhh everyone in town dude-a-reeno~ This radical shrew is one totally popular guy~ *He puts his sunglasses down looking smug. He's not being honest in the slightest*

Well it is my first time with uhhh.. blood. Not super radical for sure, my dudes. *He's sitting on a table in the Babylon Rogues' ship while Jet tends to his wound*

STOP TALKING!! You're making it impossible to fix this. *Jet is cleaning the cut with peroxide. He looks closely to see if Swifty will need stitches* Hmm... I didn't get you too bad, but.. *He gets out some medical tape and puts it over the wound like a bandaid* There. Try not to smile or anything.

*Swifty hesitates. He's not used to anyone taking care of him, so he isn't sure how to thank Jet. They haven't exactly been emotionally soft in their relationship yet. Swifty rubs the back of his neck* Uhh... Thank you, babe-a-reeno. For uh.... Yeahhh. You truly are one radical boyf.

Pah! As if there was any doubt! *Jet pauses. He's also noticed the softness. It makes him itch for some kind of fight or escape... But look where that got him last time* .... Uh... I'm .. sorry..

*Jet would smile if he could. He laughs and rests his hands on Swifty's legs* Good. You've still got your sense of humor.

Never gonna loose that, my radical birdy boy~ *Swifty holds Jet's face in his hands and kisses his beak, avoiding the sharp metal edges. Jet leans into it, not saying it out loud, but loving the sweetness of the gesture*

Y'all.. we're... CAN'T Y'ALL FOCUS FOR ONE DAMNED SECOND?? *The other two pause, staring at him* Bark ain't a robot, or at least he ain't usually. None of us were, but seems we are now. I don't know how it happened, but I bet we can find out. Bark, close yer chest. Let's get movin', boys.

Righty-o, daddio!! *Bean slams Bark's chestplate closed like a car door, making Bark jump*

Haha, poor Metal. In my experience washing grapes mostly means rinsing them thoroughly. There are holes in the bag so the water will pass through. Then you can set the wet bag on a towel. My friend who's a bit more paranoid dries their grapes off, scrubbing them a bit in the process too. 😅

Interesting. I suppose there is a range of what one would consider clean. I will attempt your method to begin with. *He holds the bag under running water, shaking it to make sure every grape gets soaked. Once the water has all run through, he places the bag on a towel on the floor for his younger siblings* There. Now you may consume.

Don't you worry, bro-tilla, robo-bod or not, I've still got the most radical speed on the island~ *He proceeds to wobble and fall from his board while trying to escape Jet. He faceplants in the sand, groaning as he pushes himself back up* Ow... That was.. not radical.

HAH!! I caught you! *Jet snatches Swifty up into his arms, gripping him so he can't escape the bridal carry* Did you really think you could outfly me?? Like that?? HMPH! Shows you who's got speed. *He leans in for a kiss*

Woah woah, hotalicious babe guy, didn't they say to be careful- OW *He flinches as Jet kisses him with his metal beak, which is even sharper than usual. He touches his lips and pulls a hand away to look at the spot of blood*

((Hi anon! I'm so glad you're enjoying the blog and looking forward to more exciting days! I do want to apologize for not being as active on here as I would like to be. I don't often talk about my personal life on this blog, but I think perhaps this time I should. Yes, school kept me particularly busy during the past couple months, and now that rush is over thankfully. But that isn't the only reason I've been keeping up with the blog less. You anons and not-so-anons don't know this, but I struggle a lot with mental health. Sonic-takeover has often been a place of outlet, comfort, and joyful distraction from that, but lately I've had a hard time finding the energy to do anything, let alone write. Despite this, I do still try to make at least one post on my bad days. I don't want to leave you all behind. I have a bunch of fun asks I want to write answers to, and I keep some of your loving and encouraging messages for me in my drafts to read when I have hard days. You all inspire me to keep pushing through and stay present, so thank you! I'm so incredibly grateful that you enjoy my writing and look forward to new posts. I hope that you all understand that I'm not forgetting you... I'm just doing my best, and my best doesn't look the same every day. I also look forward to the more active days on here! Oh, interesting! I didn't expect to be involved, but why not!

I'll say yes, I did. Since my mobian is a bat, my robot form would be able to fly. I like the idea of a bat-like version of Metal Sonic, but maybe it would be neat to have some unusual aspect, like claw hands? What do you think? If you have any ideas, please share them!

Metal now that you escaped Amy dress up wrath (temporarily) you could go see your little sibling's they are having a fun time together.

And you probably should reheat some of Amy's food for Sage because I don't think she had a proper meal after becoming organic just snacks that CamBot gave her. And young kids should eat properly to grow up healthy and strong.
