idk if you've ever answered this before but i'm js curious why kris is wearing frisk's sweater and vice versa, it seems like a taunting thing in the 5th[? page LMAO

I have not actually answered this yet despite being asked about it a lot.

So, when I started this comic, I kinda rushed into it. I was using older character designs (which I’ll link below in hopes that it helps make things clearer), and I jumped into writing without thinking through every detail at first.

In the original character sheet, Kris wears hella layers. 

Their usual green sweater

A black hoodie with a broken heart

Their OWN blue/pink shirt (Not Frisks)

A black long-sleeve shirt under that

The new character sheets (in the masterpost) are nearly identical, but the main difference is that Kris is never shown with the blue/pink shirt anymore, except for a little bit peeking under their hoodie. It’s almost always the black hoodie or the green sweater now. 

At the very bottom of this ask, I’ll include the reason their shirts are swapped. It’s not really a spoiler but just in case you want to avoid it, just know that it will be at the end.

I realize that the whole shirt thing is confusing, and I’m so sorry! However, I don’t want to change it right this second and make inconsistencies, especially since the shirts will be switched back soon.

BUT I do want to remake all these pages eventually. 

When I started this blog, I didn’t have a consistent art style but I do now. I've improved so much in the five months I've been running this blog I’d really love to make the pages look like it isn’t changing styles every page hahaha…..When I redo these pages, I’ll change the whole shirt situation so it’s less confusing. Maybe I’ll take a break from asks for a week or two so that I can work on that and release them all together.

The shirt thing was an oversight that I should have noticed would be a problem sooner, but I appreciate everyone sticking with me despite that.

The reason their shirts are swapped:

When Kris and Susie return to the Light World with Frisk and Chara, the kids’ clothes are covered in dust. In an attempt to hide it, Kris gives Frisk their green sweater and Chara their black hoodie. This leaves Kris with only their blue shirt underneath.

Kris really doesn’t want to be seen walking home with two kids covered in dust, that would be kind of alarming for any monsters they pass on the way home, don’t cha think?

It's not really an ask, but I figured I should explain (my version of) Chara's player-isms.

Chara is not a player in the traditional sense, they have the abilities of a player, but will try to avoid the possession part of being a player. They have no idea how they got these abilities.

I need clarification because I think I confused myself! D:

So, to you, Chara is (technically, but also not) a player with the abilities to control Frisk and/or Kris, but tries to avoid that? Or they themselves try to avoid getting controlled?

Either way, I could totally see them believing they got these abilities through the power of lv and exp! Whether or not that's actually true is up in the air, but I could see Chara believing it was from that.
