[08/08/1903]
..I donât believe how she could do something like that.
Just for.. me?
I canât even say it was for me. What a selfish thought, as if I canât acknowledge her act as..
Heroic?..
Iâm not sure what to even call it, because I donât have thoughts now.. There is nothing I can do and nothing will bring her back to me.
With nothing left to say..
I wonât be writing in this any longer.

^ Seth.
BACKSTORY
Seth doesnât remember what she did. Not the stories, not the fire, not the pain she left behind. But she can feel it, etched into her bones, burned into the spaces between her thoughts. Thereâs something wrong with the way people look at her. Something sharp in how the world reacts when she enters a room. And deep inside, thereâs a guilt that she carries like a second skin, even if she doesnât know what itâs for.
She is no longer the Author, no longer anything she once was. What remains is someone searching: not for power, not for glory, but for answers. For meaning. For a reason to keep going, even if sheâs not sure she deserves one.
APPEARANCE
Seth is short and draped in black, an unfamiliar figure even to herself. Her expression is distant, unsure, not the cold calculation of who she once was, but the wary gaze of someone always bracing for recognition. Her eyes are mismatched: gold and violet, a contrast she doesnât remember earning. She wears a long, sleeveless black gown with a high slit and a hood embroidered in runes she canât read. Her arms are covered in strange tattoos and scars, some ceremonial, some not, and none of them feel like hers.
Her long, dark hair falls in heavy waves, occasionally tangled with ash or ribbon. Her hands fidget, and her footsteps are cautious, like sheâs afraid of stepping somewhere sheâs not welcome. There is power in her still⌠but it feels borrowed. Forgotten. Like sheâs wearing the echo of a life she can no longer remember living.
BEHAVIOR
Seth doesn't see a lot of care for the world anymore as they now believe that everyone that they care about will simply die, refusing to get attached to new people.
Seth is slowly becoming self-aware ever since discovering the Light of Truth, revealing that they are simply a puppet in a story.
Seth has bipolar disorder, causing them to have depression episodes where they will not be seen for days.
If Seth gets too overwhelmed or stressed, they will start violently shaking and their words will become slurred, as if they are drunk.
Seth is often silent, believing in the statement 'speak when spoken to' out of fear that someone will judge them or kill them
Seth keeps people at armâs length. Not because she doesnât want connection, but because she fears destroying what she touches.
Her anger feels safer than her grief. She uses fury to mask how deeply she still feels.
MENTAL HEALTH/DISORDERS
⌠Dissociative Amnesia Seth has no memory of her life as the Author. Entire chapters of her past, names, places, decisions, are missing, yet their emotional weight still lingers. This isnât a gentle forgetting; itâs a protective fracture. Her mind sealed those memories away as a survival mechanism, blocking the trauma of what she once was. Her body remembers, her nightmares remember, but her conscious self does not. And that absence haunts her more than the truth ever could. (TLDR - She does not remember anything from early March-Now.)
⌠Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) Even without her memories, Seth displays symptoms of severe trauma. Hypervigilance, emotional detachment, unexplained guilt, and frequent flashbacks (through dreams or sudden physical reactions) suggest long-term exposure to overwhelming stressâlikely stemming from her time as the Author, a role that involved constant moral compromise and isolation. She doesn't know what she survived, but her nervous system does.
⌠Depersonalization/Derealization There are moments where Seth feels unrealâlike a shadow wearing skin. She often stares at her hands like they belong to someone else, or speaks aloud just to hear if her voice still sounds human. The world around her occasionally feels fake or distant, a side effect of the dissociation her mind uses to protect itself from pain it canât consciously access.
⌠Persistent Guilt Complex While not a formal disorder, Seth experiences chronic guilt for things she cannot remember. She walks with the posture of someone apologizing to ghosts. Every kindness feels undeserved. Every silence feels like judgment. Even when she is offered forgiveness, she doesnât know what sheâs being forgiven forâwhich only makes it worse.
âŚÂ Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) Sethâs mind is not a single voice, but a fractured chorusâeach alter born from a different moment of survival. As a child, relentless trauma carved her into pieces, each one carrying memories and emotions she could not bear to hold as one. Some are protectors, some are shadows, and some are children frozen in time. The gaps between them are blackoutsâmoments where she loses hours, days, or weeks to anotherâs hands. While the disorder shields her from pain too sharp to face, it also leaves her feeling like a ghost in her own body, a passenger in a life she canât always remember living.
PHYSICAL HABITS
Traces glyphs or imaginary words in the air when deep in thought.
Taps fingers against her thigh in rhythmic sequencesâwriting silently.
Often stands in doorways, as if caught between leaving and staying.
BACKSTORY
Bernadetteâs family grew up in poverty, they lived in a small house with a broken, rusty car. They lived in not a neighborhood, but a forest with only two other houses. The other people, a man in his late 30s, was always nice to Bernadette. A little too nice, but obviously a five year old was too oblivious to notice that. They lived farther away from the two houses, them being close together whilst Bernadette was way too many steps downwards the dark path.
The evening had been soft. The kind of night where her mother hummed under her breath while stirring the pot on the fire, the smell of herbs filling their small home. Bernadette sat curled up on the floor, clutching a worn book as her mother tousled her curly hair and promised that tomorrow would be better like she always did.
But tomorrow never came.
The singing changed that nightâit wasnât a lullaby anymore. It was chanting, low and wrong, seeping through the walls. The warmth of the fire turned harsh, angry, as the air filled with smoke and screaming. Bernadette motherâs hands pushed her toward the door, not in play this time, but in desperation.
And then it was red. Red on the walls, red on her motherâs dress, red in the sky as their home burned. She wanted to go back, to hold on, but the ritual wouldnât let her. The last thing she saw before the night swallowed her was her motherâs face. Not afraid, just sorry.
Bernadette ran barefoot into the dark, clutching nothing but the echo of her motherâs promise, already knowing it would never be true.
â
Ten years had passed since the night the fire took everything. By then, Bernadette had learned how to live as a ghost in plain sight, quiet enough not to be noticed, reckless enough not to care if she was. She carried herself like someone already halfway gone.
The overdose wasnât planned, not exactly. It was a slow, deliberate sort of surrender, a handful of pills here, a little too much there, until her body finally folded under the weight of it. She woke up in the hospital, the lights too white, the air too cold, the beeping beside her bed the only proof she was still alive.
The nurses called her lucky. Bernadette knew better. Lucky was walking away from the fire. This was something else. This was survival she hadnât asked for, dragged back into a world sheâd been trying to slip away from. She stared at the IV in her arm and wondered why she was still alive.
One day, whilst she was still recovering in the hospital, a man came in. She didnât know who he was, but maybe it was someone she knew a while ago. A close relative, perhaps? Not. This man walked up to her, caressing her face before going atop of her.
She wondered why no doctors came in. Perhaps it was just a cruel dream.
â
It had been around 4 years since the⌠incident. Whilst Berna- Seth. That was their name. Seth. She had never truly healed, never truly forgot. How could she? All of their memories came flooding back to them like salt to a wound.
I guess that was just the way life goes.
It was never fair for them.

POWERS
1. Final Draft
Fires a piercing arrow laced with dark script. If it hits, it silences the target for several seconds and causes damage over time, as if their narrative is unraveling. The arrow leaves glowing, runic text embedded in the target's body.
Visual:Â Arrow streaks with black and violet light, trails ink behind it.
Effect:Â Damage over time + silence/debuff.
2. Edit Line
The Author rewinds a brief moment of reality, dodging an incoming attack or repositioning themselves. The screen briefly glitches like a torn page, and they reappear behind their enemy â ready to rewrite the scene.
Visual:Â Flickers like crumpling paper being smoothed out.
Effect:Â Dash/backstep with frames and counter opportunity.
3. String Them Up
Targets a weakened enemy with a spectral string drawn from the Authorâs bow. If the targetâs health is low enough, they are strung up like a marionette and lifted off the ground â their model fades into inky dust as a page tears and vanishes. That character is removed from the fight â their role in the scene âcut.â
Visual:Â Black threads shoot forward, lift the target into the air. Their body turns to shadow, then to ink.
Effect:Â Execution; removes target from play (like a kill or phase skip).
4. Redacted Truth
Slams the bow into the ground, releasing a shockwave of black text and red lines that censor the battlefield. Enemies caught in the wave take reduced vision (fog/dark filter) and cannot use ultimate abilities for a short time.
Visual:Â Giant book sigil pulses out, red "censor bars" flash across the screen.
Effect:Â AOE ult suppression + mild disorientation.
5. Narrative Hook
Fires a hook arrow attached to a string of glowing ink. If it lands, it pulls the target toward the Author while briefly rooting them, as if theyâve been yanked deeper into the plot.
Visual:Â Ink-dipped hook with runes along the string.
Effect:Â Pull + root (short CC).

â Vipre was a cruel, cruel being. But heâs been missing for two years. I wonder why. You find a letter in the mail. Its handwriting is neat in red text. It says: âHello. I hope this letter receives you and you are in a correct state of mind to read this and or have it read to you. Iâve found out where Vipre is. He has forced himself to ascend to godhood. Itâs been two years since Iâve killed everyone in that god-awful lab, except for⌠both of them. But no longer. I will kill Vipre. Even if I die trying.â The note is signed with âZararelji.â Turning the paper around, it says a date and a location. âAugust 8th, 7:30 P.M EST.â Location â OOC DETAILS: Hello !!!! So for a quick rundown of this myth for people who werenât there since it was kinda just like. You had to be there typa thing. Vipreâs Lab is set in 1901. Zararelji is a test subject for this lab, in order to find a ânew hope,â as Vipre says. He hires some scientists and they are brutal with Zara, except for the Head Scientist. Heâs a lot more gentle, heâs never hit her. A few tours come, a few tours go. Though, during the last tour, Zara snaps and kills all of the scientists except for Alaric and Vipre, (due to Vipre not being in attendance.) Zara ran off and Vipre went to force himself into godhood. Two years later, she founds out where he is and then the letter to you comes. Hope you all can attend! It wonât be that long of an event as itâs kind of time based. Probably 20-30 minutes or so.

Hi everyone,
First of all I wanted to say Iâm sorry. But I think Iâll need to take my hiatus earlier than I expected. I really wanted to finish chapter 1 before I went on hiatus but I donât think thatâs possible for me at the moment.
I love you all dearly. And Iâll still be active on here, I just wonât really be on the game much.
Iâm really sorry.

if atlas was a piece of art displayed in a museum he would be a moldy potato shaped like a toe bump, duct taped to the museum walls without a frame like hes literally just a moldy potato duct taped to a wall and people call it modern art

the court has officially decided.
ZARAâS FINAL EVENT WILL BE HELD ONâŚ
August 8th, (8/8), 7:30 P.M., the final event will happen.
Before this, I want to thank everyone in the Vipreâs Lab groupchat who helped make this happened.
Kumo, who plays Alaric, was one of my main inspirations for actually finishing this myth. Had he not offered to be Alaric, I donât think I wouldâve finished the myth at all. So thank you. @bimbosyndrome
Rocko, who plays Oscar, was probably one of the funniest people in the group. Him and I could have joking conversations, and he would always support me no matter what. So thank you. @oscarlivian
Shima, who plays Vipre, was another one of my main inspirations for finishing the myth. I was actually originally going to be Vipre until I put out the auditions and met Shima. For that, I cannot be more thankful for them and their character. (and also for them saving me 20$)
Coco, who plays Ezra, was one of my favorite characters in the myth. I related to her character a lot, and Zara saw her as a little sister. So thank you.
Alaric, who plays Elliot, was probably Zaraâs favorite character in the myth. Heâs always so kind, both out-of-character and in-character. I could not be more thankful.
Butters, who plays Ivory, was a very favorited character in the myth. They were also very funny and I like playing with them, even if we donât talk a lot. @dovelost
Kontrol, who plays Nurse Mary, was the person Iâve known the longest in the myth. We met in 2020 and have mainly remained friends since then. I could not ask for a better friend.
(One person is excluded as they have been offline since the last event.)
