was bruce wayne 8 years old or 10 years old when his parents died?

OK DISCLAIMER: I have not read much of Bruce’s teen years so if anyone knows solid facts pleaseee correct me

Uhhhh... most cannon says 8 but I like to say 10.

Mainly because that's when you start prepping for exams to go to secondary and I like to think that Bruce had to go through the change of school/exams, dead parents and the whole depression thing.

I like to say he went to boarding school soon after the Waynes died because Alfred didn't really know what to do/thought B needed a break from Gotham. I think he went at least up to his GCSE years (15/16) when he meets Oliver Queen. I think B takes the core 6 then business, history, latin and some Modern Foreign Language (possibly Mandarin? Or French) to prep for law. Cannon varies about when he starts training but I say that during holidays he goes and trains with people???

I think then he drops out before A levels (but not before he starts psychology). Then in some order: he galavants off and trains to be Batman hardcore / meets Ghostmaker (age 18 ish), goes to law school??? (19+), meets Harvey Dent, drops out of law school to train around the world

TL:DR 8 canonically 10 if you want to bully him

Me: it’s the FINAL COUNTDOWN DUH NUH NUHHH NUH NUH NUH NUH NUH NUHHHHH- wait how many lengths have we done??? Me: *proceeds to maths my way to a conclusion* wait what I lost count again Me: whoever is doing breast I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU KICK ME AGAIN-

Hiiiiii! I have a quick suggestion for things after 2am don’t count as blackmail. You know the ‘we broke into your house for Doritos’ text post, something like that would be good. Also maybe Tim filming sneaking in to Jason’s safe house to find coffee/energy drinks and getting caught by the rest of them? Baiiiiiiii

Oh that would be good!! Some shit is hitting the fan for me right now, but I’m working on another spin off fic for things done after 2am!! I’ll add this idea to the list of things to get around to writing!

NO ONE has a "Robin origin" story other than Dick Grayson. There is NO Robin without Dick. Full stop. 8 yr old Dick watched his beloved parents being murdered in front of his own eyes. 8 yr old Dick was severed from his circus family and sent away to orphanage/juvenile centre in distant murderous city Gotham. 8 yr old Dick grieving and alone, proposed a partnership to the goddamn Batman - at the time a confirmed loner - and got him to change his ways from vengeance to justice. 8 yr old Dick mellowed out a hard despairing nearly 30 yr old going on 8 billionaire and softened him up to snap up random lads.

So no. There is no "Robin origin" more hardcore than Dick's. Even if the greatest Robin Dick isn't your favourite, that's a hard L to insist there is any other origin story that goes as hard.

So i was scrolling through the starfire tag and i realised. Like 3/4 of the stuff that is tagged as starfire. Is dickkory/nightstar fanart. And like i might be biased as i don’t ship them, but I don’t really like the fact that the content a female dc character’s tag is mostly ship art with a batboy. Like i do understand that it’s an extremely popular ship that WOULD be canon if stupid shit didn’t happen. But yall I absolutely ADORE starfire. So i’m asking the dc community as whole: can we please please please increase the amount of fanart, fics, whatever, of ALL female characters in the fandom WITHOUT a ship being the main focus? Pretty please 🥺

Weirdly unpopular opinion, but I !personally! feel like Bruce Wayne failed Stephanie Brown worse than Jason Todd. He definitely made big mistakes with both, and you could argue that what happened with Jason had worse consequences, but I could talk for hours about how Stephanie's death was definitively caused by Bruce's actions, and he treated her TERRIBLY.
