hello! they're those gay little guys who were on the Ducks together... they played against each other at World Juniors in 2021 and Canada lost and Jamie was really mad but then they had to take a plane together to California where they started playing for the Ducks' AHL team and then eventually the Ducks too, all while living together, and falling head over heels in love becoming instant besties. they wanted to move in together in 2021/22 but didn't for a variety of reasons but by the end of the season they were actually living together again pretty much? incredible turn of events. (Cam York's family was involved in this situation.) then to start 2022/23 they DID finally get their wish and moved into a house and they sat on the roof (very romantic) and have a whole playlist together about it (with a whole bunch of romantic songs. notable that Lover used to be on there - added by Jamie iirc - and deleted when Trevor got a gf? I think.) and Trevor posts very pretty photos of himself on the roof because they watch the sunset together and one of their teammates' wives reveals in the comments that Jamie took the photos. we're experiencing glory days of content. and then Jamie gets bad injured a month into the season (torn labrum) and decides to wife it up. starts learning to play the guitar. starts cooking for Trevor. there's also that thing where they had a framed photo of them in their living room. Jamie misses the rest of the season, the Ducks management meanwhile over the summer decides that maybe the two of them aren't worth any money at all and they eventually miss basically all of training camp to start 2023/24 too and vibes are off and then injuries happened due to lack of training (I think to both of them) and BAMMMM it's January 2024 and Jamie gets traded to Philly. out of the blue. and then we learn that the Flyers were actually interested in him over the summer already and rumors about Trevor following started IMMEDIATELY. fans were into it. Trevor was visibly destroyed about Jamie being traded away (he refused to show up for an interview and also broke his ankle almost immediately. yikes). Jamie has an okay time with the Flyers, Trevor has an absolutely dreadful time with the Ducks all of last season. and then we get to two days ago. incredible scenes all around!!!!

I know there's a proper primer for them somewhere but I do not remember who it's by or when or where I read it. I've also been Elsewhere mentally for a while now so I'm sure I'm missing/forgetting a lot of things. but oh mannnnnnnn do I love them. oh also: there's vast amounts of incredibly good fic. two of my top 5 (or 10 maybe, I refuse to actually think about it and rank) fics of all time are jdtz
