and then they’re like “what” and then the fucking Primordial Queen of All Evil shows up riding a giant whale and they’re like “SURE. FINE. WHATEVER.” and then there’s MAGIC and this was NOT foreshadowed in their series thank you and then they blink and they’re halfway across the world in a desert and they kind of??? won the YA dystopia thing bc the military dictator AND the evil industrialist are both dead and the power structures they led literally sank beneath the waves and they’ve even won the surviving members of their recurring rogues gallery to their side and now they’re in charge of the refugees by default and can create a better society out of the ashes
