Finally got some art of my girl done!!

I spent an ENTIRE FUCKING HOUR FUCKING REWRITING THIS ONE PARAGRAPH BECAUSE I DIDN'T LIKE IT

And I told myself, again and again, while writing this short story that it would be a simple one. It was SIMPLE. Purposefully vague. And now that one paragraph is twice as long and I'm getting the urge to make this simple short story not so simple and short.

Been working on my lesbian beauty and the beast retelling. I looked back to the OG story for a second and was jump scared by the line, 'be my husband.'

I legit was like, "Oh god, I forgot the original was about straight people --"

And, somehow, I’m both lmfaoooooo

There are two types of writers:

1. 'It's fiction, it doesn't need to make sense!'

2. 'I didn't account for the rotation of the planet and how that affects the constalations while my characters stargazed at different times of year, I have failed as a writer, and this entire thing is trash'

For me, personally, I suck at writing endings. My first draft endings always feel so rushed and unsatisfying, even when I outline.

It’s something I’ve been working on fixing, and I like to think I’m getting better at.

Why is it I always get the most creative burst and surge of ideas when I'm at work and physically cannot write?

Ten year old me was really like, "I wanna see a version of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon where the Hero and Partner kill every character I find annoying," and I just kinda never stopped.

“why isn’t there any fic about (x)?” there can be a fic that is precisely about what you want to read. just start writing that fic for yourself.

“but I’m not a writer” every writer has had their first time writing. most writers start with writing something they want to read. your work doesn’t have to be perfect, because having 1 fic that is precisely about what you want to read, even if it’s not perfect, is still better than having 0 fics about what you want to read.

I read There Is No Safe Word. I didn't finish it because its content got a bit too much for me, but I read enough to say that I hope Neil Gaiman dies a horrific death and never has another success.
