Happy Pride Month!

So, as of writing this, it is almost 11 at night. I meant to write this a lot earlier in the day, but I have been busy with some personal matters. Regardless, hello, everyone! You might already know me as Spyder, the Sundagio obsessed freak with a series that is nearly 600k words long so far.

It is June! Which means two things. One. I am moving into an apartment soon. Two. It's a special month that celebrates pride! Specifically, it is pride month for the LGBTQ+ community. Happy pride month, everyone! I want you to know that whether you are straight or queer, cis or not, you still have a lot to be proud of. The world is better off with you in it and there are people that love you. Some days, it is hard to find the good in life with so many obstacles and hateful people, but I am proud of you for doing what you can. You're always good enough. You are strong. And remember it is not weak to need help sometimes. This goes for everyone. This month, remember to take care of yourself and be proud of yourself. While this is pride month, our straight allies can also celebrate with us. We love you too~

I plan on releasing a couple of chapters this month! That depends on my life of course, but we all know how much I love my orange lesbians. I will have to release something for them during pride month, right? Regardless, happy pride month, everyone!

Colorful Miles

Hello, all!

Your favorite Sundagio ruler is back once again~ However, I do not have Sundagio goodness to give you. I know, it is sad. Do not pout though. We will get back to more Sundagio soon enough.

Today, I have a different kind of story to give you. I have posted the next installment of the Sundagioverse. It is titled Colorful Miles and features Rainbow Dash as the main character. This story deals with a lot of themes of addiction, suicidal thoughts, and recovery. I have never been to Narcotics Anonymous, but my research has indicated that people who have misused steroids like Dash in this universe would be able to attend their meetings. I have tried my best to be as respectful and accurate with this subject material. If you have any suggestions on how I could be more sensitive, please tell me. Look out for the next chapter sometime soon~

Want a new chapter?

Hello, all!

It's been a while since I have posted something, hasn't it? More than a month. The last time I updated you, I was talking about how pissed off I was that my works were scraped for AI AND hosted on other websites without my permission. Believe me, I am still pissed. But there have also been quite a few things going on during this last month.

Specifically, I just graduated. While I have been working through stuff with my master's program admission, I finally got done with my undergrad years at college. I am also working on two other stories while I have been writing this last chapter of The Summer Mist. I hope you enjoy this update~ The next story I will release as a part of the Sundagioverse is called Colorful Miles.

In all seriousness, I hope this chapter brings a smile to your face. I know it has been a long time since I posted. I have missed it and this should scratch that Sundagio itch for you~

ANOTHER UPDATE

Hello, all

Wow, a second update from Spyder within two days? Yes, I'm back. As cute as ever, mind you. I hope you are all having a great day! Because I am not.

Today, I found out that my stories likely got scraped for another AI dataset posted online. Two times. Sucks. Again, I can't take my information down from the dataset since the new hoster is being aggressive about needing identifying information. Do NOT provide that. This person likely intends to use it to threaten and blackmail authors instead of taking information off of the dataset. So, this means I have been fucked over four times in the last two days. Four times? Oh yeah, guess what I also found?

Two different websites are hosting my stories without my permission. The best part is that there is NO WAY to actually contact them and take the stories off of the websites. The best I have seen is to sign a petition to try and take down one of the websites, but that likely won't work. One of the websites is called Teenfic, but please DO NOT ENGAGE with it. From what I have seen, the website hosts stories by mirroring them from Wattpad, but it also tries to install malware on your device. Do not go to that website, even if your own work is on there.

I don't know about you, but I am really tired of having my work stolen for profit of others. At this point, I can't do anything about it. My only options are to stop writing or to continue without any protection of my future works being stolen as well. So, you know what?

Fuck it.

If they already have my works, might as well keep going and write the most obnoxiously sweet and romantic Sundagio stories I can. I might as well go all out without any reservations since everything is going to be stolen anyway. If these AI bros want my stories so bad, I can also give them the most dirty erotica imaginable. I might do that soon. I will also likely let my AO3 stories be viewable publicly again without an account since they already have it all. My stories won't stop even through the bullying.

As a reminder, I only post my stories on FiMFiction, Wattpad, and AO3. If you see my stories on any other website, then they are not posted by me and I have not consented to it. If you like my works, it would mean a lot to me if you read them on these platforms and maybe comment if you're comfortable with it~ It definitely keeps my motivation up and I love hearing your thoughts!

IMPORTANT UPDATE for me and potentially other writers

Hello, everyone

My name is Spyder27. I am a writer of predominantly Sundagio here on FiMFiction, AO3, and Wattpad. It pains me to write this update, but I need to let readers and other writers know of some important news. Recently, the website AO3 was scraped for all publicly accessible works since before March. This data was then used for a dataset for AI and is hosted on multiple websites. As it stands currently, there are multiple copyright claims currently, but the creator of this dataset has hosted their own website to ignore copyright infringement. They have doubled down and informed everyone that they will only remove the information from the dataset if you personally file a DMCA request with them for only your works.

The best (WORST) part about this is that the official form to fill out requires your legal name, address, and phone number. I am not in a place where I can comfortably give that information out, even privately. In general, I like being anonymous and I don't want a paper trail connecting my legal name with my works. Even if I file the DMCA request, there is no guarantee the hoster will take the information out of the dataset on their own website.

WRITERS! Listen. For relevant information, go to the AO3 subreddit and find the pinned post. If you post on AO3, it is a good idea to lock your works to registered users only. I do not know if that option is available on here or Wattpad. It goes without saying that I am incredibly depressed at this news since it seems like no matter what happens, asshole AI enthusiasts believe they are morally right to use works from other people without permission.

For the time being, I have locked all of my AO3 stories to registered users only. That does not stop much since my works have already been scraped, but that is what will happen for now. I would be lying if I said I had not considered removing my works entirely. Stuff like this makes me incredibly pessimistic about continuing my works and my series since it feels like it will all be stolen anyway.

You all should know me by now. I am Spyder27, the Empress of Sundagio. To be honest, I am not used to calling myself that, but I am sure I will be soon enough. Speaking about Sundagio, have you missed it? I know I have. The last time I uploaded a chapter of Sundagio was the 31st of January.

It has been TWO months. Sure, I have gone longer before, but it still feels like a year. In those two months, I have been dealing with a lot of personal matters. For example, I got into a master's degree program. I will be graduating my undergrad this May. Only a few more years until I have a PhD. Anyway, you didn't come here to learn about my professional life. You want more Sundagio. I get it. I love the ship probably more than you. So, I released a new chapter today.

A Small-ish Update

Hello, all!

So, it has been three days since I uploaded the last chapter of the Sundagioverse and I am actively working on the next one. While I do not have a concrete release date yet, I am hoping to finish it within a week. It really depends on what happens in the next few days since life has been seemingly giving me a break. A break to write? Who knows? Enjoy the spree though while it lasts since I may not write much after my dog dies.

I also want to use this post to talk a bit about some story ideas I have been tinkering with. Specifically, I have some stories not related to the Sundagioverse that I want to work on. One is an Octavia x Vinyl story that isn't necessarily a oneshot, but it wouldn't be as long as A Dazzling World. Then again, I am bad at estimating the lengths of my fics. In this story, I want to show a relationship type I have not written much of. One where there is not much physical contact at all between Vinyl and Octavia. No, this wouldn't be a LDR type story. I actually want to explore the topic of [spoiler]SA[/spoiler] and how it can affect a person's relationship later on. I don't want to give too much away, but I thought that one of them (I'm not saying who) was [spoiler]abused at a young age[/spoiler] and this made them more hesitant to touch others and how some touch can make them stressed. Obviously, this is a delicate subject matter considering I am not afraid of touch myself, but I figured this would be an interesting story dynamic to explore since all of my works deal with relationships where physical touch and intimacy are common place and there's no issue.

I've also been tinkering with a small oneshot recently about Rarity x Twilight. Now, I usually don't like this ship. However, I can see it working in a couple of different scenarios. Also, I believe one of the biggest things you can do as a writer is to broaden your horizons. Write things you haven't tried yet. It will let you know what you're comfortable with and possibly give you more insight into what you already like.

For the big news that some of you are probably wondering about, what is with my new profile picture? I'm sure some of you already know what the main colors are supposed to represent. My new profile picture is Adagio with the transgender flag and a bisexual heart. Neither of which actually correlate to Adagio, but still…

So, remember when I said I am genderfluid? Yeah… About that. Turns out I was trying my best to still cope with myself when it came to a heteronormative environment I have lived in my whole life. I am a trans woman. Something I stupidly denied for years (I still can't believe I didn't catch on a long time ago). I have updated my bio to say she/her as well. However, you can call me Spyder. I know it's seen as a masculine nickname, but I don't care. I don't see it that way. To me, it's a nickname I've had for half my life at this point. Something that I don't want to get rid of. It doesn't make me uncomfortable and I am completely fine with it. I'm also okay with still being called the Emperor of Sundagio surprisingly. If you'd rather use Empress, that is also okay! It's just nice to finally know why I've always been uncomfortable with my body, why I've always identified with women more than men and why I have wished to be a lesbian in another life. (Yes, this somehow didn't make me realize. I am that fucking stupid.) Regardless, nothing about me has changed except for pronouns. I am still obsessed with Sundagio and you cannot make me stop writing orange lesbians.

Happy New Year!

Hello, everyone!

Well, we did it. We got through another year. While I know a lot of us have said 2024 has been a bad year, I do know there will also be ups on this emotional rollercoaster that is life. A lot of bad happened for me this year. However, I want to choose to remember that a lot of good happened as well. I made friends, sent in applications to graduate school, went to my first concert, started a D&D campaign and even wrote 30 chapters/oneshots of Sundagio. While it may not sound like much, it is a lot in the grand scheme of things.

I wrote a new chapter and published just now in fact. I hope you all enjoy chapter 4 of The Summer Mist. I hope 2025 will be an awesome year and bring about just as many good things that this year did! Happy New Year, everyone!

Happy Birthday to the Sundagio-obsessed Emeror

Hello, all!

So, I'm sure you know me. You know I have been absolutely obsessed with Sundagio for more than three years. Unfortunately, I haven't posted as much of them as I have wanted in the last four-to-five months. But... I'm glad to say that may be over! My writer's block is finally slipping away. Just in time too, because I have another birthday to celebrate, which means another thing to write.

Today is the birthday of my dear friend- Wait a minute. It's not a dear friend actually. It's MY birthday today!

That's right, everyone and everypony! It is my birthday once again. I'm 23 years old now, but that means I need to post some Sundagio fluff! Does that mean I am writing my own birthday gift? Well, yeah, but let's not focus on that. If I have been struggling with writer's block, then do I have anything to share?

I just published my third chapter of The Summer Mist! It's titled Sunscreen and Convos and hopefully it won't be too long until the fourth chapter! I know it isn't a long update, but I plan on the next chapter being longer. Funny that this story deals with a cruise vacation in the summer whereas my birthday is in the middle of the freaking winter, but what can you do? Happy Birthday, Ty!

So... It's been a while, hasn't it?

If you all live in the United States (which I know a good portion of you do not), Happy Thanksgiving! However, I have something much more important to celebrate today.

Today also happens to be the birthday of my best friend, Ty! They have been an amazing person and they honestly deserve the best in the world. As such, I figured I should make a birthday fic for them. I just published a story called Cross Your Fingers on my FiMFiction, AO3, and Wattpad accounts. It is pretty fitting too since Ty helped me refine the story idea and they made the cover for the story (which is actually my first piece of fanart).

About Adult Content...

Hello, everyone.

So, I don't know if you live in the United States, but I do. And if you know anything about the upcoming election, you probably know about Project 2025 and its many ideas/controversies. While I am not usually one to try and drum up a political discussion, I do have a problem with multiple of these proposed changes. However, I want to focus on one main idea. The ban/restrictions on adult content...

I am not an erotica writer. I do not spend a lot of time making adult stories. However, I know people who do and people who make adult art. I agree that we should protect children from encountering such material online, but these changes are not doing that at all. Instead, they are just getting rid of the freedom of expression and silencing the discussion on sexuality in general. I'm sure you know how damaging this can be for the LGBTQIA+ community... As much as I think this change is a worthless and dangerous violation of rights, I cannot do anything about it except for voting in the upcoming election.

That's where my stories come into the picture. While I am not an erotica writer, I have written two sex scenes within my stories. Two scenes that I primarily used to increase the intimacy between Adagio and Sunset. For now, these bans do not seem to target fanfiction, but you never know how far this will go before there is any positive change to undoing this. Call me paranoid, but it does make me scared for the landscape of art, expression, and commentary.

So, what do I do? Remove the scenes? To be completely honest, I am not sure. It makes me angry that this is even an issue in the first place since it targets my entire friend group. However, I know that the rule on FiMFiction is that I cannot create duplicates of my stories. Even if it is to delete a certain scene. I also have more faith that AO3 will stay active longer than this site should any legislation somehow take action against fanfiction. So, I believe I have a different idea.

I will always have a copy of my stories uploaded on AO3 and I plan on making a cloud folder for you all to access my stories. This will include SFW variants of A Shimmering Heartbreak and That Warm Smile. I do not know when I will complete the folder, but I will make a new post when it is done to let you all know where you can download PDF documents of my stories. Maybe I am overreacting. Maybe I should wait longer. However, I know that this election has me scared for many reasons.

Three years!

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all doing great today! I know I am~ Today is October 15th and if you have known me for a while, you would know that today is the day I started writing the Sundagioverse three years ago. I still can't fathom the idea that I have been working on this project for THREE YEARS. That's just a crazy milestone to reach. Especially since I've never really stuck with a project for this long.

Well, here I am. Three years later. A lot of stuff has changed in my life, partly due to Sundagio. Seriously, I am super grateful for all the support over these years. It has meant the world to me and I don't think I would still be writing this ship if it wasn't for people like you. I am really emotional since I know that this day symbolizes just how far I've come. Both as a writer and a person. To think that I started writing Sundagio at the beginning of my time in college and now I'm almost done with my undergraduate degree. Three years may not sound like a long time, but it really is. So much can change and evolve in three years. Don't take that time for granted. I am so happy that I am able to tell the story I want to tell because of your support and that you all actually like the stories I tell.

So, what do I have in store for the anniversary of my story? This year, I have a small surprise. I have uploaded the first two chapters of The Summer Mist. Both of them are pretty short, but there is a good reason behind it. We are finally at 100 chapters for the series... 100. I made these two chapters short so that I could get to 100 on the anniversary of the story's creation. However, expect that the next chapter will probably be longer once again.

Three years later and 100 chapters in, I am honestly just super emotional that I have even gotten to this point. I have dreamed of this point in the series for two years at least. Now that we're here, it feels like a dream come true. Thank you all again. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate all the kind words, critiques, and support~

Happy Birthday, Rainbow Rocks!

I have a question for you.

Have you ever had a film that truly inspired you? A film that made you think about the possibilities of a sequel or an alternate universe? One that made you truly think about the characters and how they have been made? Feeling inspired like that is a special feeling. One that comes around very rarely.

Why am I even asking you this? It is because one of those films for me is Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks. A film that, for all intents and purposes, is a kid film. However, this movie really did a lot for me. It first inspired me to write LGBTQIA+ relationships and even helped me learn that I wasn't completely straight myself. This movie made characters that really changed my way at forming characters. People like Adagio who was unapologetically evil which somehow added to her charm... I often tell my friends that if there was any movie I would have liked to see with a higher rating and a much bigger budget, it would be Rainbow Rocks. I truly feel that the story could have lent itself to bigger themes.

Ironically enough, today is the tenth birthday of Rainbow Rocks! Which means there has been Sundagio content for around 10 years. I've only really been in the Sundagio scene for three of those years, but I hope to be around for a lot longer. As I've said before, Sundagio truly has done a lot for me. The ship wouldn't exist without this movie, so in a way? I don't think I'd be here now if the movie was never made.

Jump Back In

Hello, all!

Spyder27 back again with some news. It has been nearly a month since I have uploaded anything. The last bit of writing I uploaded was the end of A Dazzling Trio which acted as the end of the first arc of the Sundagioverse.

So, of course, this new upload is the next installment in the Sundagioverse series! Another Year Another Smile is a birthday fic about Adagio Dazzle where all she wants is a nice quiet birthday. However, it looks like someone close to her is planning something for the big day, so the siren has to team up with our favorite teenager, Apple Bloom, to figure out what is going on. This has been a long time coming. This is the culmination of more than two and a half years of my life. Blood, sweat and tears were quite literally spilt on this work and I do not regret a single moment of it. I am so happy to be here. To be able to say that I finished something. While this is not the end of the series as a whole, it is the end of a chapter in a way. A jumping off point. I am so thankful for all the support~

Happy Birthday, Mon!

Hello, everyone!

So, I know everyone is eagerly awaiting the final chapter of A Dazzling Trio. I know I am. However, I have a couple of things I want to do before I make that chapter. One of those things is to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend of mine~ By now, I'm sure you all know her. Mon668. I talk about her a lot in my author's notes and whenever I have a birthday or Christmas gift for her. Well, her birthday has come around once again and I have nothing to show for it.

Just kidding~

If you have perused my catalog of works before, you have probably come across a story called It's Just Us. It is one of my favorite works that I have made to date. Hence why I featured it on my profile in the Featured Stories section. Well, I wrote that story two years ago for Mon's birthday. A whole TWENTY THOUSAND words dedicated to celebrate my friend's birthday. Today, I have uploaded another story called So, Say Those Words. It is a direct sequel to It's Just Us, taking place mere months afterward. It is not nearly as big as my previous gift, but it serves as a nice epilogue to the original story. I actually got multiple comments saying that the story felt incomplete and that they wished they could see what happens after It's Just Us.

Well, now you can~ If you haven't read It's Just Us, I highly suggest doing so before reading So, Say Those Words. I had a lot of fun writing this story since it gave me another excuse to write cute Sundagio fluff. Oh, and if you can, wish Mon a happy birthday in the comments! Her birthday still isn't for a few hours from now, but I wanted to give Mon and all of you a chance to read it before her birthday was in full swing~
