Maybe it's bc english isn't my first language and I don't know how to express myself but the new comic it's kind of confusing??? Why is Hyuna saying "Violence won't bring peace" and then in All In she is just... bombing the place and shooting the human guards??? Also the way they save Mizi too? I doubt they just walked into the stage without causing trouble in the way. She is part of a rebellion, violence is how they operate most of the time... Someone on Twitter say this is supposed to represent Hyuna's hypocrisy but it's still so weird... I'm not trying to start a fight or anything I'm genuinely confused :(

Fragile suffers from "Male character/mlm ship being more interesting for people so nobody talks about me" type of misogyny, and with DS 2 in the way is definitely going to turn into "I find this female character annoying so I hate her" type, it's difficult out here for us fragile girlies 🧍
YOU. ADVANCE TO THE LECTERN

The original post being from 2018, god please bring our family back together 💔
The Ai no Kusabi Fandom in a nutshell
- General, posts everything and anything about Ai no Kusabi.
- Rp blogs
- Headcanons
- The intellectual. Posts are approximately 500 words or longer.
- Memes
- “Every thing about this story is poorly written and all of the characters are horrible”…still a fan anyway.
- Inactive, probably hasn’t posted in at least three years. Is basically considered the fandom archives…“the ancient texts!”
- New fan. Has ten or less posts so far, but has already fallen so deep into this pit of misery.
- The silent follower. Likes posts, but no reblogs because their blog isn’t about Ai no Kusabi. (you are noticed and loved!)
- Fanfiction
- Discourse. Goes so deep….approximately a three page paper including reblogs. Deserves credit hours counted towards a degree in anime.
- Fanart. The best.
- Translations (thank you people so much!)
- Heartbreak

Something about Iason and Riki that I don't see people mentioning often is the marriage symbolism that there is in the novel regarding their relationship. It's not a super important detail nor a fundamental one, but it is something very curious that I feel like deserves to be talked about.
The most noticeable place where we can observe this symbolism is in the respective rings Iason and Riki wear. Not only is it very curious in the first place that they both wear rings, but also these rings are sometimes represented with a matching appearance like wedding rings usually have. For example, as we can see them on the 2012 anime. But the strongest evidence of these rings having this symbolism is what the novel itself says about them. The ring is one of symbolic nature, it is the symbol of their relationship, of their bond, just like a wedding ring is supposed to be.

The other part where this is noticeable is in the extras, specifically, on the cal's sighs collection of extras. In the last of the three stories, cage of foolish love, Iason has a dialogue that it's related to marriage.

While superficially this doesn't seem to be related to marriage, if we look at the details of the scene we can see certain symbolism related to it in the way the scene is set up. In this scene Iason kisses Riki while in his head he makes a vow to never let him go, this is similar to the way a wedding is set up, with a vow and a kiss that seals it. It's also important to notice that Iason gives this vow a religious connotation by relating it to the holy and sacred, something that further reinforces the parallels to a wedding. There's also the detail that the wording Iason uses for sacred vow in Japanese “神聖誓い” is often related to Christian weddings.
#iason so in love he became christian for 5 seconds#ok but#I know it#i wasn't crazy for thinking it has a wedding symbolism!!! i wasn't crazy!!!!!!
