There's no life worth living outside of animal crossing. I can't wait to completely drown in that game. Life is so shitty right now. I want to run around a virtual world capturing virtual insects and fishing virtual sharks. I can't wait to be so caught up in that game that I won't even think of opening any social media and tumble upon bad news of the awful society we live in. I won't care about the fact that nobody loves me that I'm sick in pain and could die with doctors saying "nope you have nothing" because I'll be busy shaking trees to find money. Let's make it to march 20th.

Animal Crossing dialogue font

For a while now, the Humming font has been extremely difficult to get a hold of, kind of why I ended up just making my own by combining images together, it works, but it’s not perfect..

However, after digging into the files for Amiibo Festival of all things, I managed to find a clean version of the humming font, already in .otf format!

My island plan so far

   Name: Selena (after the moon, with a “serene” vibe)

   Natural. Stone and wood, nothing modern-y. Naturally ethereal and even a bit witchy.

   Roughly Y-shaped for the rivers, because magically splitting rivers are a pet peeve of mine. At least two waterfalls.

   Three parts, separated by rivers. One small, one medium, one big.

   The medium part is the city center. The idea is a quaint beach town. It would be the planned community part, with streets and all. It would encompass the airport, shops, town hall, hopefully Brewster’s coffee shop eventually, and a whole lot of furniture; maybe a couple of villager houses to make it busier. All at sea level.

   The big part is gentle nature, the kind you see in the trailers. It would have most of the villager houses, the fruit orchards, and the museum. The museum is there and not in the city center because I want it in a huge garden that would be like what the Jardin des Tuileries is for the Louvre. As a student always chilling down there after class, it would feel like home. ~Two thirds at sea level and one third on the first level (with the museum).

   The smallest part is wild nature. A big forest (mostly evergreens), flowers and bushes everywhere. It would have my house, a couple of villagers as neighbors, and a nice stargazing spot by the cliff. A very small part at sea level for bridges, most of it on the first, maybe even second level.

While vaguely researching islandy sounding names for ACNH I’ve made some quote interesting discoveries.

I’ve found out about Out Stack, an island, or more accurately, a large rock which is the most northern part of the UK.  “the full stop at the end of Britain”. Completely uninhabitable and you would reach the North pole if you traveled direct north.

Muckle Flugga is the isle directly below

Animal Crossing Town Name Ideas - Updated

I made this post last week with the assumption that town names in NH would be limited to 8 characters like in previous games. After today’s direct, we know that towns can have at least 10 letter names! I decided to update this list to include 6 and 7 letter words because of the new flexibility those two extra letters add (along with more short words that I didn’t think of the first time). Just choose 2-3 words you like that add up to 10 letters or less, and you’ve got a town name!
