VTubers: "Should I reblog stuff, or should I keep my VTubing tumblr clean/professional?"

Hello VTubers new to, or returning to, tumblr!

I want to let you know about primary blogs vs secondary blogs! It's something you might want to consider~

On tumblr, your account is tied to a "primary blog" - that's the one you created when you signed up. Besides your primary blog, you can create "secondary blogs" tied to your account as well! This means you can have a bunch of blogs without having to log out and log in to acccess all your different blogs!

But, what's the difference between primary and secondary blogs?

Primary blog:

Whenever you follow, like, or reply to a post here on tumblr, the notification will be "[primary-blog-name] liked this" or "[primary-blog-name] followed you", etc. It will always be your primary blog name, and cannot be your secondary blog. You can't swap your primary blog with one of your secondary blogs later, though you can change your primary and secondary blog's names.

Secondary blog:

Secondary blogs cannot follow, like, or reply to posts. But you can still reblog stuff to your secondary blogs, and post original content.

These differences might be important if you want other VTubers to know who you are when you like posts or follow blogs, or conversely if you want to like and follow whoever you want without it being tied to your VTuber name! What you want your primary blog to be is important for that reason!

So, for example: - You could have your primary blog be your clean professional VTuber blog, and then make a secondary blog for reblogging anything you like! - Or, you could have your primary blog be your "anything you like" blog, and set up a secondary blog for only your VTubing stuff. - You could also have only your primary blog and put everything on there, of course.

If you want to really make use of this feature, you can create several secondary blogs for reblogging specific things with different aesthetics/topics! e.g. an anime blog, a sanriocore blog, a VTuber blog, a blog for a very specific fandom you're into, etc.
